Chapter 8 - Chapter 7: Cave Bats

At one of the dark cave systems, where the deafening sound of silence could be heard all over the place, with the occasional sound of water dropping from the high ceilings of the tunnels.

Where an abundance of red eyes was just observing the happenings beneath them. Eyeing for any signs of danger or prey.

[Cave bats.]

[Quantity 200.]

"Hmmm."

He peeked his circular luminous body at the entrance of the hole where he was hiding. It was the same hole where he got attacked by the Cave bats before, but unlike back then, he was far confident in his skills now.

From his distance at the bottom part of the tunnel, he aimed his skill to the ceiling and unleashed a huge ball of water magic.

The Cave bats immediately sensed the incoming attack and flew to evade the flying ball of water towards them, their eyes quickly turned to the culprit, the small ball of light floating at the entrance of a hole.

"Echolocation, I see."

He shook his body.

"Want some more? Here it comes!"

He fired another round of magic attacks, but none of them managed to hit a single Cave bat.

"I'm tasty, I guess? Come and grab me!"

He shook his luminous body harder than earlier.

"Bunch of cowards!"

The bats could not hear him but his infuriating way of shaking his body was enough to get their full attention.

His provocation bore fruit, some of the Cave bats rushed towards him while generating a high-pitched eerie sound.

"Come closer!"

Huge fire magic materialized in front of him, at least in his point of view the fire magic was gigantic. The fire launched towards the rushing Cave bats but they easily evaded the attack due to their incredible mobility.

He moved back a little and continued his barrage, he was just blindly attacking while the enemies were outside trying to take a grabbed on him.

Some of the Cave bats tried to grab him by thrusting their claws inside the hole.

"Wrong move!"

White thunder magic materialized and electrocuted the Cave bat, with smoke coming out from the Cave bat's body, the Cave bat descended to the ground.

The sight of the demise of one of them gave the Cave bats a great reason to get more eager to catch the culprit.

Some of the Cave bats hovered right in front of the hole and open their mouths indication that they were about to unleash a powerful attack.

A powerful wave of sounds sounded inside the hole where he was, his body trembled as the high-pitched sound attacked him.

"It hurts! The sound is attacking my senses! Is this what they called sonic wave?"

At once the enemies gathering outside produced the same sound attack causing a devastating force inside the hole.

If a different species were in this same situation, their brain was already exploded due to the extreme pressure of the sonic attacks, but no brain would explode if their target did not have one.

"Powerful, no doubt. Fatal? I don't think so."

He fired multiple attacks to stop the relentless assault of the Cave bats. To his surprised, the attacks not only made them stopped but also took out 2 of the Cave bats.

"I see, so they can't move when using that skill."

Slowly while enduring the sonic wave attacks of the Cave bats, he peeked his head into the hole.

"My turn!"

A barrage of fire, wind, water, and thunder attacks surged to the Cave bats prioritizing the ones currently using the sonic waves.

"There's none of you trying to approach me while some of you are attacking me with sonic waves, those actions only mean one thing! You too are vulnerable to your own skill!"

One after another, the Cave bats that evoking a sonic attack fell to the ground. Some of them were burning while some got electrocuted. The Cave bats were tough enemies due to their mobility, but without that said mobility, they were just a fragile existence.

[You leveled up.]

However, the Cave bats were smart enough to know when to flee, realizing that a single orb of light's life was not worth the life of more of them.

At once the Cave bats flew away and instantaneously left the area. Leaving the Small lesser nature spirit alone.

The once chaotic place returned to its former state, covered in deafening silence with the occasional sound of water droplets from the ceiling of the cave systems.

"Wow, they actually left."

He turned his gaze to the ground and found the corpses of the Cave bats lying on the floor, some of them still burning that lighting up the surrounding.

"At least I managed to level up before they ran off. What a bunch of annoying creatures."

"Nature's blessing is getting better and better, I'm excited to see what its full potential, it's heavily relying on RNG, but RNG doesn't matter if you have unlimited chance to use it."

He flew outside the hole and went in the direction where the colony of Cave bats went.

"It would be for the best if the wind and water magic become more powerful than they currently are, just like my fire and thunder magic."

A two-way path stopped him from moving forward.

"Hmmm. Where those Cave bats went?"

At one of the cave systems, a 3 meter tall and extremely wide space, where the loud cries of bats could be heard. Lying on the ground were the carcasses of unfortunate cave wolves that attempted to pass through this place, but ended up dead.

Every place where the colony of Cave bats was inhabiting was deemed as an impassable area for weaker species, this place would be their graveyard if they tried.

The Cave bats hanging on the ceiling of the cave system darted their gazes at the slowly moving white light beneath them. They watched it as it wandered in their direction.

The small lesser nature spirit was just silently traveling as if no dangerous monsters were gazing above it.

After hours of playing hide and seek with the monsters that inhabited the wide cave system he was in, he finally found a colony of Cave bats.

He went inside one of the holes located on the stone wall.

[Cave bats.]

[Quantity 231]

He peeked his body outside the hole.

"At least let me level up even once before you flee."
