As Will woke up and sensed around him, he could not help being surprised. It was abundantly clear that he was not still in the forest. The forest was a combination of every emotion as well as some illusional emotions, but when Will sensed around him, he felt that everything around him had the same emotion, and it was a cold emotion which felt distant and detached. It was as if the room was cold and distant.
It was at this moment that he realized that he was lying on a bed. The bed was far more comfortable than any he had ever lied on, and it seemed to help heal his injuries. At this moment, he was still severely injured and had many broken bones. It was nearly impossible for him to move, and he knew that he would not be getting up for a long time to come. The reason that he was so injured was because he was hurt by the spiritual power of a bird at the sixth level of the silver core realm. As such, it would take an immense amount of time to recover from the damage done. He did not know at this time that he had been unconscious for six entire months.
As such, he decided to speed up his healing by a bit and use the inner breath of calmness to help heal his broken body. However, before he got the chance to do so, he heard a young girl's voice. It gave him quite a scare as he had previously not sensed anything from the girl. It was as if she had simply appeared out of thin air. However, what he did not know was that this was reality, and that she had simply appeared before him so fast that he had no chance to react.
She spoke softly and coldly, "I never expected to come across a genius while I was cultivating,"
She said this coldly and distantly, but Will could sense that this was just her character, not her real feelings. She had always had a cold demeanor, but no one had ever thought she would truly feel otherwise, so she still acted cold to everyone.
However, since he knew absolutely nothing about her, he decided to say nothing about it.
However, he was curious as to why someone as powerful as her would call him a genius. After all, a genius was several levels above someone at the same level, and for someone of her strength to be calling him a genius meant that he would be even more outstanding compared to his peers.
After hearing this, he could not help laughing, but the moment he did, a piercing pain came from his abdomen and chest, reminding him that he had every bone in his body broken at the moment.
At this moment, his entire body was covered in a liquid ruby, which flowed around all his wounds everywhere except for his head, which had already healed as it had been the least hurt from the explosion of spiritual power.
As such, there was nothing more than a small scratch on his cheek at this point, which had a small amount of liquid ruby covering it. Thinking about the scratch on his cheek, he could not help but wonder about his wings which had previously shattered. After all, he had used his wings to cut the cheeks of those who harbored ill intent towards him while he was at the foundational realm and sitting in the middle of the city of Scorching Sun kingdom.
However, he did not really care about it at this moment because he had lost his wings before and he knew that they could be recovered.
After a few moments thinking, Will tried to respond, but all he could get out was a low grunt of pain.
Following this, the girl simply said, "I'll let you recover," after which she simply left the room.
Thinking about what had just happened, Will could not help laughing in his heart, thinking, 'what a weird girl, but then again, she is extremely powerful
Indeed, the girl was extremely strong, much stronger than he could imagine at this moment, but he could not help wondering if he would ever get to be as strong as she was.
However, he quickly dismissed this thought and circulated the inner breath of calmness through his body. However, what happened next astonished him. He could feel that the remaining power from the spiritual power of the bird was being resolved by his inner breath and was dissipating at a rapid rate. It should be known that this was the main reason that he had not recovered yet, but at this moment, it was rapidly being resolved and disappearing.
When spiritual power from someone at the silver core realm entered someone's body, it would continue to cause damage to them until it was removed or resolved. In most cases, it took years to resolve the damage, and even with the help of a high grade healing pill, it would still take a long time, but now, merely circulating his inner breath of calmness, he was rapidly resolving the spiritual power which had entered his body and forced him into a coma for six months.
It took a total of a week before he finally resolved all the spiritual power that was in his bones. With it being resolved, there were suddenly loud cracking sounds that resounded through the room as Will's limbs suddenly started straightening. Although he had been saved by the girl, his limbs were still covered in the liquid ruby and she could not move them without hurting him, so she simply let the bent limbs lay as they were.
At this moment, all of his bones had finally mostly recovered, and he could finally move, but the moment he tried to move, he felt an intense pain that came from everywhere that wasn't his bones. However, he expected this so he was ready for it. After all, he only got rid of the spiritual power in his bones and wanted to heal them first so that he could at least move. After all, he had been laying in that bed for six months, even though he did not know it. and he had broken limbs that whole time, which was extremely uncomfortable.
He figured that the reason that the inner breath of calmness could resolve the spiritual power in his body was because of its innate ability to calm or settle something down, and to settle down spiritual power without an owner controlling it was to dissipate it. As such, it naturally made sense that it could quickly resolve the spiritual power.
Standing up, Will quickly stretched his whole body, which let out a series of cracking sounds when he did so from staying still for so long.
After that, Will sat back down and circulated his inner breath again to start healing his muscles and blood. He did not have any organs, so he did not have to worry about them, and in their place was only muscle and blood. The only organ that he still had was his heart, his ruby heart. As such, he naturally wouldn't suffer much from attacks to his body even if it hit him in a vital place.
He sat there recovering for a total of another week before he finally removed all of the spiritual power residing in his body. At this moment, he finally stood up, refreshed and revived, ready to continue cultivating. At this time, his wings had also recovered and were no longer the shattered stumps they were before. They shone brilliantly in their pearl color dipped in a vicious blood red at the tips of the feathers.
At this moment, he noticed that the mysterious girl had once again reappeared in his room. At this moment, he could not hold back his questions and at once, he blurted out, "Who are you?"
She gave off no aura and no presence, and one would not know she was there unless they directly looked at her. At least, this was what the girl thought. At this moment, a blind boy at the age of fifteen had known she was there despite being so weak. She thought that this was simply impossible, but she quickly recovered from her astonishment after thinking about the fact that this boy in front of her had a bloodline, which might have some inborn sense in it which allowed him to sense her without his sight.
After thinking about this for a moment, the girl quickly responded.
"My name is Eissa. You are currently in my ice fortress in the forest which you were exploring. Come with me."
After this, she did not explain further, but she left the room, signaling for Will to follow, but he did not see her gesture. After all, he could only sense something's rough location and could not clearly understand what she had done, but he knew that she wanted him to follow her, so he followed her out of the room.
All around him, he could sense a cold aura, similar to the demeanor which the girl named Eissa had. Aside from that, he felt a distinct coldness that was more than emotion or demeanor. It was a real coldness which permeated the air, which was very mysterious. Not only was it a physical coldness, but it seemed to also contain a coldness which would affect the mind as well, similar to the mirages and illusions in the forest. However, it did not effect him at all, nor did the coldness effect his body. Instead, it seemed to be a reminder that he was in Eissa's domain.
As he followed her, he felt the coldness distinctly get stronger, but it was still not affecting him much. However, he knew that if it got much stronger, it would eventually start to affect him and slow him down a little. This astonished him because this meant that the air surrounding him alone would be as cold as the stream where he found the mystic ice flower. Moreover, it would be as cold as only a couple feet away from it. It should be known that it had frozen his hand almost solid in order to pick up the mystic ice flower. This meant that there was a powerful treasure of some sort that made up the halls .
However, Eissa seemed to not even notice the cold at all and continued on her way. As such, Will naturally followed her. As the coldness got stronger, Will could faintly sense something nearby which emitted a emotion of the intense coldness which Will had felt from Eissa earlier. He knew that this must be the source of the terrifying coldness, and that it was only stronger than the mystic ice flower, and that it constantly emitted the aura of coldness, unlike the mystic ice flower which had lost most of its coldness when Will had plucked it out of the stream.
It seemed that this was where Eissa was heading, and Will could sense that he was almost at the point where he would start being affected by the coldness. However, he knew that he should be fine as long as he did not touch the item which was emitting the coldness which permeated through the halls.
Very soon, Eissa turned and opened a door, which lead to the room that the item was in. When Will entered, she followed behind him and closed the door. After going in, she approached the item which was in the middle of the room. When she finally stood in front of it, she tapped it. After that, all the surrounding coldness seemed to be sucked into the item as if it was a black hole sucking in light. Then, in a matter of only a moment, the coldness had all disappeared, leaving absolutely nothing left of the cold aura which had previously permeated through the whole fortress.
Then, something unexpected happened. The item which was sitting in the middle of the room unexpectedly seemed to float up into the air, then started to shrink, going towards Eissa's hand. Then, it entered a small ring on her finger.
Will had no idea what this ring was, or what abilities it had. As such, he could only stand gawking at it.
Noticing his gaze on the ring, Eissa explained. "This is a special ring called a spacial ring. It can store items in it so that you don't have to carry them on hand or in a bag at all times."
Then, unexpectedly, an item came out of the ring and appeared in her hand. Then, even more unexpectedly, she tossed it to Will. Will caught it and could not help feeling astonished. In his eyes, such an item was a treasure, but Eissa had given him one so easily? Such a thing did not make sense. Why would she give him such a priceless treasure for free? Why was she being so nice to him despite not even knowing his name? Little did he know it was the same reason which Old Man Dai had been so kind to him before. It was because he was a true genius!! He had a bloodline, which meant that he was a genius among geniuses. Obviously, such people would want to befriend him!!
Feeling around the ring, he noticed that it was perfectly smooth, and that it seemed to be a normal ring which would at most be slightly expensive in terms of material, but the moment he sent his inner breath into it, he was instantly dumbfounded. Inside it, he could clearly sense that there was a space the size of a room. However, he had no idea how to use it.
But the next moment, his question was answered by Eissa. "Spill a few drops of your blood on it to bind it to yourself. That way, no one else will be able to use it."
After hearing her instructions, Will took his dagger out of the scabbard on his side and sliced open his finger. He was not worried about the cut because of his insane healing ability. Instantly, several blood droplets fell onto the ring. These blood droplets did not look like blood. Instead, they looked like a mesmerizing liquid ruby. They instantly caught Eissa's attention, but she merely thought of it as part of Will's bloodline. When the ruby blood droplets fell onto the ring, nothing happened at first, but suddenly, the blood droplets started enveloping the whole ring, leaving no surface uncovered. At this moment, the ring looked like it was a ring entirely made out of ruby. Then, the ring in his hand started to absorb the blood and soon, the blood was entirely absorbed into the ring, but what happened next even stunned Eissa. The ring in his hand quickly started changing. Yes, it was changing. At this moment, the ring suddenly had a wavy band of pure pearl which surged up from it. This wavy ring of pearl replaced the part of the ring which it went over. Then, the process stopped.
In the end, the ring was left with its original material, but there was a wavy line of pearl which circled all around the ring like a snake. Along with this snake of pearl, there was a section of the pearl which was ruby, and this ruby section was traveling along the pearl line seemingly flowing around it like a river. But other than this, there seemed to be no change. But Will knew that this was absolutely not the truth. The space inside the ring had actually doubled!!! However, he would not reveal this information to Eissa, who looked very intrigued by the change in the ring. Even she had never heard of something like this happening to a spacial ring. Even with the rarest of bloodlines, no change ever happened to the ring.
With intense happiness, Will put on the ring which was now wrapped in a line of pearl which had a section of ruby flowing down it like a raft in a river. The moment he put it on, a small amount of information entered his mind. This information was naturally how to use the ring.
With a thought, he took the mystic ice flower out of the torn bag slung over his shoulder and tried to put it into the ring. When he did, the mystic ice flower suddenly started floating and shrinking as it moved towards the ring. Then, it entirely went into the ring.
Using his mind, Will checked inside the ring, and of course, the mystic ice flower sat there unharmed. At this moment, he could not contain his happiness. He was normally perfectly calm, but at this moment, he could not hold back his immense happiness from breaking his calmness. Immediately, he profusely thanked Eissa for the ring.
After that, he could not help but wonder what they were going to do next. After all, this mysterious girl had already helped him several times but seemed to not intend to stop. He could not help but wonder how he would pay her back in the future.
Suddenly, Eissa called him to follow her, and they suddenly left the fortress. For the first time in six and a half months, he stepped foot outside the fortress. Of course, he still did not know that it was truly this long.
