"Exactly, I'll be waiting outside" he said and walked out of the room. Hilde watched him closely a bit afraid, "at least you're going to stop it if it gets tough, right?" she asked.
"You haven't even started yet you're afraid, if you keep that up it'll turn to your greatest enemy. All you have to do is focus and listen" he said activating the heads.
Hilde stood firmly and decided to go all out just before she realized something. The tiger heads weren't the ones making the noise, it was the door.
Before she could turn around the stone door fell heavily shutting and something else happened the lights went off leaving her in fear and darkness.
"That jerk is trying to get me killed" she was muttering angrily when she felt an object flying towards her which she quickly dodged. 'The darts must be really large for it to create such a strong wind' she thought and marked where she got attacked from in her mind.
"Position One" she said while trying to pose for the next attack when she was suddenly hit from another direction.
'I should have counted it, position two. Even if I get injured I should be able to avoid attacks from at least four heads'
She heard the next dart flying towards her and she quickly raised her weapon above her head turning it in a way that the chains stretched and hit the head where the dart was released from.
The crashing sound made her stop for a while, 'what just happened? I can't believe I just destroyed the source of one of my problems. That was effective after all' she was saying to herself when another dart suddenly hit her "arghh... damn it".
She was about to lift her head when she noticed a dim light radiating from the tiled floor. It formed an arrow-like shape and appeared faintly on the floor. It was almost as vague as anything could get without being invisible.
"What is this?" she thought as successive amount of darts flew towards her bringing her back to reality. In other to avoid getting hurt she hurriedly grabbed the two sides of the chain-stick in a way that she suddenly felt something went wrong with it. It had been divided, "Did I just destroy this" she thought. However there was no time to waste as she continued in her quest for victory.
With the help of two weapons she broke down four more heads but it didn't seem any different as the attacks were as severe as when she first started. After a long time she started feeling weak and dizzy until her vision became blurred.
Just then she heard the door opening before falling to the ground. She woke up later on a bed but she knew she was still in the weapon house. Hyde came in and saw she was awake. "What happened...." she trailed off remembering the test "how was my performance?" she asked
Hyde sat close to her with an indifferent look and passed her a cup of tea. She looked hesitant but later took it from him and drank slowly "I won't say I was impressed, but you did really well. At least I know I haven't been wasting my time, you have a strong foundation" he said without looking at her.
She scoffed at his remark and gave a sad look "I know I wasn't good.....I couldn't even hold out for long and I could not make use of the pointers I got"
Hyde looked at her for a while before talking "If you say so, I guess you're right then". She couldn't believe what she heard, wasn't he just praising her. He noticed how she kept looking at him confused and said "you don't have to worry, a time will come when you will be able to walk in and out of that room without a scratch on you"
"I guess you are already in that time.... the last time I came here where were you? I looked around and didn't see any possible place you could have stayed then since all the doors were opened" she asked. He looked away from her and stood up almost suddenly "You should go home now, it is late. You can start training with the new weapon you just created tomorrow" he said before leaving.
Hilde watched him leave a bit puzzled What was that? Why did he suddenly leave because of what I asked him?.
Nel sat on a chair that was directly in front of Oliver and placed a bottled fruit juice on the table. His excitement was clearly conspicuous as he kept smiling.
"Aren't you just amazing? How could you do that?" he finally asked after handing the bottle to Oliver who just smiled nervously. Edna looked on without saying anything and Nel continued to talk with emphasis on what Oliver did with the water tank until she felt incensed.
"Anyone who listens to your rantings will think his powers are yours or you contributed to it" she said when it seemed he would never stop.
