~~~(POV: Lyatt Scott)~~~
~~~(Date: February 12th, 2297)~~~
~~~(Time: 6:41 PM)~~~
Sweat is dripping all over my body, and my thirst is setting in. I haven't been able to get a damn White Tear flower in the last hour and some change. It's torturing cause I'm surrounded by them, but the ground is being stubborn on where it's soft or not. Not all hope is lost cause I've found one where the ground is soft enough in this hell.
The heat these fucking crystals produce is insane, and now I can see why so many Alchemists in the past hated gathering White Tear flowers. "C'mon, you damn weed... Just be easy to get... I've lost my weight in sweat..." The Stasis Jar covers the entire flower, and this is when the hard part comes. Getting the dirt and roots that come along with it.
I use my finger to slowly dig out a hole around the roots and fit it perfectly in the jar. After all this time in this damn cave, I'm going to flip my shit if this doesn't work. I get all the roots and the flower into the jar, and time to finish this bitch off. I slide the jar lid under the roots and quickly close the jar. Preserving the flower inside.
This has to be the most annoying and tedious thing that any alchemist can do. I stare at the perfect white flower through the glass of the Stasis Jar. I open my inventory and place the flower inside. Now, I can just take out my Traveler's Compass and return to Kedwein, but this is a dungeon. All dungeons have a way to clear them and bosses to fight.
Since I am a recognized loremaster, I know exactly how to get to the boss room and clear this dungeon. "I'm not through with you yet, cave. This battle is just beginning." While the known rewards aren't something I'd waste my time getting, I do want to be the first player to clear the dungeon Crystalline Caves of Domeir. That'll bolster my Player Lore some more.
~~~(POV: Holy Seer Kelistein)~~~
~~~(Location: Church of the Light Mother Gleawern, in the Merchant City of Lerosso, in the Northern part of the Termal Empire)~~~
~~~(Time: 7:03 PM)~~~
Light Mother Gleawern has been extremely quiet these last few days... She usually warns me of things to come and prophesies that are possible. Arch-Duke Frasier Barxoes has been worried himself. As the head of the church, he's in charge of telling the royal family of the Termal Empire what's going on. The silence is both worrying him and the royal family.
Not only that, he's supposed to tell the public of the things I see. "Lady Kelistein, has there been anything from Light Mother Gleawern?" My teacher and fellow seer, Lady Zelli, breaks me from my meditative state. Light Mother Gleawern must be keeping silent for a reason, and the only reason she'd do that is if she were told to by the Goddess of Light, Corcea.
This is futile for right now. I stand up and fix my gown and turn to lady Zelli. "I've not received anything from Light Mother Gleawern... What do you think this means?" Lady Zelli strides over to me and calmly brings me into a hug. "Silence has never occurred for this long before in the history of Libertas..." She's like an older sister to me, and if anyone would understand, it's her.
She pulls away and looks into my eyes, and is about to speak. But before she can, the sound of the world fades away. She notices it too, and we look at each other confused. In an instant, I'm with a vision. It's Jet Black Darkness expanding in all directions. I stand up, and I see Lady Zelli doing the same in this Black endlessness.
We walk to each other and try to talk, but there is no sound in this place. "Seer Kelistein and Seer Zelli..." The voice of Light Mother Gleawern enters our minds. "There is an existence that threatens all existence. The Darkness Incarnate has been awoken. Heed this warning. If not controlled, it'll consume everything an-!" There is a sudden cold that envelopes us and cuts off Light Mother Gleawern
The cold keeps getting worse, and as it does, a new male voice comes through. "You'll find no salvation in the Dark... For I am him, and he is me... His will is mine. My will is his... Go, flecks of light... This is not your home..." The voice is even and hollow and sounds like a young man. All of a sudden, I'm back in the real world, and I lean up. I look at Zelli, and we both have the same look.
Unknown to anyone, the voice that spoke from the Darkness was that of Lyatt Scott. But at the same time, it wasn't him. It's as the Darkness said. It is him, and he is it.
