Chapter 39 - Looking on the Forums

~~~(POV: Lyatt Scott)~~~
~~~(Location: Real World, Home)~~~

~~~(Date February 13th, 2297)~~~
~~~(Time: 11:29 AM)~~~

Libertas has the largest followings for a VRMMORPG to date, and there is a lot of information circling the forums. I know most of what will be discussed this early in the game, and from what I'm reading right now, most posts are strategies on how to level up faster and links to join guilds. Most Top 50 guilds don't post on public sites.

They have their private sites that people go to, and their recruitment process is brutal. I've been contemplating about starting or joining a guild, but the attention that it'll bring me will interfere with my life. It'll also mess up the timeline even more, which causes problems with my plan to find out who murdered me.

The more the timeline changes, the more it'll affect my chances of finding out who murdered me. Something that I'm more interested in finding out than fame and fortune. "Today, Broken Skull is the first guild to clear an Epic Grade Dungeon with a level requirement of 10." The TV plays in the background as I scroll through the forum pages on my laptop.

Broken Skull is picking up just like they did from my first life. They do have an Exotic Grade class wielder. It's the Vice Guildmaster. His gamer tag is MrMunchies, from what I remember. Not much is known about his real-world identity. He works in the shadows of the guild, doing the dirty work. Why he got the Exotic Grade class is unknown to me.

Libertas is going to be the center of attention for the entirety of the gaming world. It will stay like this for years to come, and it was booming more than ever six years from now when I was killed. "There are reports that Kedwein, a city in the eastern part of the Termal Empire, has high tier and powerful dungeons located near it." I can confirm those reports.

There are some great dungeons for the early levels all around Kedwein and its territory. Libertas is too big for players to want or go to a specific place. Most won't be interested in coming to Kedwein if it's far away. The teleportation gate fees get bonkers at that point. Hence having a Travelers Compass will work wonders. It's an expensive but invaluable item.

My eyes focus on a post with information that I didn't expect to come out yet. "There are books and scrolls to teach you non-combat skills..." How I got my Blacksmithing and Armoring skills is now public knowledge. Hmm... This didn't come out until after the World Lore Tab was implemented into the game... Strange... My actions wouldn't have caused this...

Maybe it could've... I don't know for sure. Not worrying about it is the best thing I can do for now. It's not like this knowledge getting out hurts me in any way... It's just an anomaly to me... "There are also reports that the Adventurers Guild is taking players into their ranks." My eyes raise from my laptop and towards the TV. The Adventurers Guild...

The Adventurers Guild is the richest and most influential organization in all of Libertas. You can find a branch to their guild headquarters in any capital city, along with important places that are needed for trade routes. They're sometimes found in smaller cities, but you would never find a branch building in one as small as Kedwein. Compared to the capital of Termal, Kedwein is a village.

I've never interacted with the Adventurers Guild, mainly cause you need to have an Uncommon Grade Class or higher to enter. In my past life, I met the requirement, but they only have a limited amount that is allowed to enter at that low of a class grade. You can see that the grade of your class is far more important than your maximum level.

The higher the class grade, the more powerful your skills become after they level up. I can attest to that after having The Darkness Incarnate in this life. It's a busted and overpowered class. Perhaps joining an NPC guild is an option. That way, I don't have my real-life identity jeopardized. There are other guilds besides the Adventurers Guild too... Maybe... Just maybe...
