I've spent enough time in the real world, and it's time that I get back to my grind. Tesha Lacroix is the woman I'm going to speak to after I get back, and I'm hoping she'll give me the quest to unlock the Alchemy crafting skill. She should, but knowing her, she might try to pull something. I can't be entirely sure. Her personality allows her to do unpredictable things.
The gaming pod opens with a small hiss as I approach, and once inside, the cool environment of the gaming pod brings me some comfort. Today has been a hot one in the real world, and I'm enjoying the cool air being blown on me. My eyes close as the headgear comes down, and once attached, I'm loading into Libertas in the next couple of seconds.
My eyes open, and I'm in an inn room, one that I didn't have to pay for. The innkeeper here gives players a free night to stay for first-time customers. I used that to my advantage, and now it's time that I get a move on. There is a slow thumping on the stairs as I walk down them. My eyes scan the filled inn and see players and NPC's having a good time.
There are plenty of inns located in Kedwein, and all of them get tons of business due to the extremely high population right now. The exact number of players in Kedwein can only be guessed right now, and the capacity that Kedwein can hold is around 57,000. I'd say there is about 20,000 NPC's and 28,000 players in Kedwein right now.
There is still room for more to come, but the billions of players are spread out across all of Libertas. So it's unlikely that the capacity of Kedwein will ever be reached. Enough with the distractions, I exit the inn and head straight for Tesha Lacroix's shop. Some players are going in and out of the shop, which means some see the benefits of Alchemy.
The door opens with a jingle, and Tesha looks towards me, her tobacco pipe floating next to her. There are no customers at the front desk right now. The players that are in here are looking around the shop. "Don't just stand there. I want to see what you've accomplished." Her voice is smooth and supple as she speaks to me.
She's used to eliciting a reaction from men when she talks to them, but that doesn't work on me. My lack of reaction and calm approach cause a mocking frown to come on her face. "Let's not waste any more time, Ms. Lacroix." My Inventory opens, and I pull out the Stasis Jar holding the White Tear flower. She looks at it with wide eyes.

In all my years as an alchemist, I've never seen a Stasis Jar used in such a way before. He's perfectly preserved the White Tear flower, and it can be harvested. My eyes land on him, and I take in his features again. His Jet Black Hair and striking hazel eyes bore into me. His subtle and smooth features make him even more attractive.
He places the jar on the counter and looks down at me. He's much taller than I am. "Will you be willing to sell this to me? Thanks to the way you've preserved the flower, it can be harvested continuously." Having this to supply me with White Tears is worth whatever he asks. His face remains the same, and he slides the Stasis Jar over to me.
My hand lands up it, and I use Scan to see the information. It's perfectly intact and ready for harvest, and my eyes land back on him. He could be a great Alchemist one day. "My price isn't of gold. I want you to teach me Alchemy. Give me the quest to unlock the skill, and personally teach me what you know." He drives a reasonable deal and is something that I can easily pay.
This young man isn't interested in things most his age would be. He's seeking knowledge and power, and I sense that there is endless power in him already. It makes me wonder why he's chasing more... "I can do that..." I take a scroll off the back shelf and toss it to him. "Finish this quest, and you'll have unlocked Alchemy. Once you do, I'll teach you what I know." He nods his head a single time and opens the scroll.
