Kedwein is full of players today, and it's a sight to behold. There is something awesome about fantasy worlds based on swords and magic, and while Libertas has that in mind, it does many things differently. "Looking for a Raid Party to take on Von Jeric Larids! Level 20 preferred!" I'm falling behind in the level growth of players based on that announcement.
It's one way to find a group to help you. The other and more effective way is to use the forums to find groups. We can access the internet through our player interfaces. What that player is doing is a little outdated, but it also has benefits. You're announcing to players that are here in Kedwein and are looking to do the same dungeons and raids as you.
After all, raids are far harder to complete than any dungeon, and I've got some ground to cover before I even want to try Von Jeric Larids raid with a group or solo. You want to be at least level 25 and have a group average of around level 20. I'm still only level 12 currently, but gaining EXP isn't hard for me. It's staying above that Mana demand for my skills.
Now that my skills have leveled up again, I need to get some better gear focusing on Mana. Eloise's Nightmare has what I need in terms of gear. Once my mana demand reaches another point, I'll have to find another dungeon. "Looking for a Party to take on Forest Gnome Dungeon! Level 15 preferred!" That's a dungeon I'm going to hit soon. It has valuable blueprints for crafting.
That'll be my goal after taking on Eloise's Nightmare. Eloise is the daughter of the lord of these lands. Duke Renold Ferzal has a daughter that's plagued by a curse. The Duchy of Ferzel holds many cities in its land, and Kedwein is one of them. It's not cheap entering Cellera, the city the Duke's family lives in. It's around 50 gold.
To get the quest isn't that hard, but completing it is trouble. Enough of that distraction. I can see Tesha's shop up ahead, and there isn't anything that's more important to me right now than unlocking Alchemy and becoming Tesha's apprentice. The EXP for completing this quest is two entire Player Levels, but it might be more depending on how well I did.
My hand rests on the door, and I slowly push it open, and I see plenty of players buying potions and needed items for whatever challenge there taking on. This is why I want Alchemy, so I don't need to buy potions when I can just make them myself. "Well, someones back sooner than I thought." Tesha's trademark voice reaches me, and she's at the front counter.
She has the same calm smile and relaxed posture, smoking on the floating tobacco pipe next to her. Wasting no time, I walk up to the counter, take the Fungus Supercell out of my Inventory, and place it on the counter. She raises one eyebrow and picks it up. "You never fail to impress me, Lyatt. A deals a deal." As she says those words, my quest for this item is completed.
I receive two whole Player Levels, and my reputation with Tesha skyrockets. My player interface blinks, telling me that Met NPCs Tab has new information. I open it and see that Tesha has accepted me as her apprentice. My eyes look for the skill Alchemy, but I don't find it. I look at Tesha, and she can see my slight confusion.
She lets out a puff of smoke, and I know she's preparing for an explanation. "I wouldn't let any apprentice of mine have any ordinary Alchemy skill. Come with me." She steps from the counter, and I follow her. I've heard of better crafting skills, but I've never had one. You can upgrade all existing skills to a new one if you max them out or get them straight away with a teacher.
Crafting skills and Combat skills do this to get the power curve continuous, and I look forward to reaching those higher upgrades of a skill, especially for Blacksmithing and Armoring. Not to mention my Combat skills, but I don't have a teacher that can help with my Combat skills, so I have to max them out and upgrade them on my own.
