Chapter 49 - Heading to The City of Cellera

~~~(POV: Lyatt Scott)~~~
~~~(Location: Heading towards the Teleportation Gate, Kedwein)~~~

~~~(Date February 14th, 2297)~~~
~~~(Time: 2:05 PM)~~~

Tesha has given me the Letter of Introduction, and it's now sitting in my Inventory Tab. Without it, I don't have a chance at Eloise's Nightmare. Tesha's credibility and reputation are being put on the line, but she doesn't seem like the type to care about that too much. Still, I should be responsible for the faith she's put in me to do this.

Sulling the reputation of someone as knowledgeable and helpful as Tesha isn't what I want, and I'll do what I can to prevent that. "Hey, Noob! Do you want some advice on how to level up and get out of that Common Grade Gear!?" My musings are rudely interrupted by a voice that I'd only call a typical rotten salesman. I'm not interested in entertaining his scheme.

Despite my obvious displeasure and attempt to ignore him, he insists on grabbing my shoulder. "Oh c'mon, young man! Don't you want to catch up to those big guilds in a flash?" I've had enough of this. My head turns at a medium pace, and my stormy hazel eyes meet his. My powers fluctuate at the response of my anger. He steps back and swallows hard.

Making a scene while surrounded by so many players is bad, but no one is paying attention. Everyone is too focused on what they're doing to stop and look at this small event in their minds. "Leave me alone, you blood-sucking parasite. Find some other fool to buy into your bullshit." He flinches hard at my brutal words, but I can see his pride is wounded.

[Fellow Player Jerry Blueman has scanned you]

[He sees your Level, Health, and Mana. He now knows your name.]

The next thing that happens shocks me, and it pisses me off at the same time. My blood boils, and my power starts leaking out of me. While he only has access to basic information, that's considered extremely rude among players that don't consent to a Scan. "Wow, kid... That's plenty of Mana. Must be that ring you're wearing." He's smarter than I've given him credit for.

Violence between players in Cities results in fees, but that's only if you're caught. Usually, I'd kill him for that, and take the items he drops on death as an insult. However, keeping a cool head is more important. Things could spiral out of control for me if I do something reckless and show off some of my power. I'm thankful that my Mythical Title, The Darkness Incarnate, is hidden.

My power is back under my control, and I stare at Mr. Blueman... Dead in his eyes... "Good luck, Mr. Blueman. Someone like you is going to make the wrong type of person angry one day." He cocks his eyebrow at me as the power leaking from me disappears, and I turn and leave him. I'm a composed person, but I hate people that act like Mr. Blueman.

Now that my rude interruption has been handled, it's time that I get to the Teleportation Gate and head for Cellera. The cost for entering Cellera is 50 Gold and another 15 if you're doing so by Teleportation Gate. It will cost me a total of 65 Gold, but I've prepared for expenses, thanks to The Greedy Goblins Dungeon. I'll still have 400 Gold after everything is paid for.

Cellera might have some players in it, but it'll be a low chance of that. Guilds can afford the price, but solo players will have some trouble getting that money together. No one else has future knowledge like I do, all the strategies and information that I have. I'm a Loremaster of Libertas, and that gives me a massive advantage over everything.

After walking for a few more minutes, the main platform where the majority of NPCs and Players are located comes into view. The Teleportation Gate is the hub of activity in most cities and towns. I have to gently make my way through the crowd, and as I'm climbing the steps, I bump into a heavily armored man. Our eyes meet, and he's not a face I've ever seen around here.
