Chapter 33 - The Crystalline Caves of Domeir I

The dungeon entrance is right in front of me, and I place my hand forward, and the system does a quick scan to see how hard it should make the dungeon. The barrier drops after the Scan, and I enter, and after a few steps inside, it's already warming up from the crystals deep in the cave. The temperature can reach deadly levels in some of the areas.

White Tears aren't going to be easy to harvest either. In this instance, it'll be easier to take the entire flower and harvest it when I have the proper tools. The only problem with that is the White Tears flower immediately dies when uprooted from its spot. I know where they are in the cave, but there is something I need to get from some of the monsters.

Speaking of dungeon monsters, I can hear some up ahead, and it doesn't sound like a small amount. Who knows how long this could take, but the item I need from the monsters is called Stasis Jar, and it has a very low drop rate. A Stasis Jar is exactly like it sounds. Whatever you put in the jar is put into a magical stasis and stays in its original state.

Normally this wouldn't work with the White Tear flower, but a few months after the game came out, a player came up with the method of harvesting White Tear flowers. Originally, you'd have to pick things up to place them into the jar, but it was discovered you could cover the flower with the jar after digging around its roots in the ground.

The hard part about this method is finding a soft enough spot in the area the White Tear is growing and having a flower growing on that soft spot. I would've bought the Stasis Jar in Kedwein if it was sold there, but it's a Rare Grade item only dropped in dungeons with space magic-based monsters, which The Crystalline Caves of Domeir dungeon has.

Even with the difficulty adjustment, they're a monster that always appears. It's one of the few guarantees in this dungeon. Speaking of monsters, some are heading right for me. The battle to get to where I need to go has plenty of space magic-based monsters. Hopefully, one of them drops the Stasis Jar. I use Dread Wave at the approaching monsters.

Despite how interesting this book is, I can't focus. My mind keeps drifting to the player that came in here yesterday. He's not an ordinary player, and his knowledge about White Tears speaks for that. Not to mention that I get a feeling from him, one that sends chills up my spine. Like there is a monster beneath the surface, something waiting for any opportunity to come out.

I'm glad I refrained from using Scan on him. Players and NPCs like us don't like it when it's used without permission. To be completely honest, I was scared about what I might see when I used it. The energy coming from him... It's unlike anything I've ever felt before. "Lady Lacroix, do you have my order yet?" An old voice breaks me from my thoughts.

That's when I realize old man Johnson has been here for a minute. I was so in my own world and thoughts. I ignored him. "Yes, Johnson. Your order is ready, and you still have to finish paying off the premium." He grumbles as he pulls the money out of his inventory and lays it on the counter. I don't know what he needs so many Red Tipped Sabre Teeth for, but who am I to judge.

My Black Spear finishes off this last monster and clears the path for the White Tear flowers. I've gotten 20 EXP towards my player level and 10 EXP towards all my combat skills. I've gotten the Stasis Jar, and now all the means is I've got to find the perfect one to remove. I continue down the path until I entire a very hot chamber with White Tear Flowers everywhere.

This is the place, and I'm already starting to sweat from the heat. The dry ground is going to be a problem, but I have a plan for that too. Time to start searching for the perfect one to get out of the ground, and this is going to take a bit of time. It's a good thing that it's not deadly hot in here, but I'm going to be sweating like a cheater on the verge of getting caught by their partner.
