Chereads / A Glitching of Jeremiah / Chapter 4 - Interactivity II

Chapter 4 - Interactivity II

"Man, I can't answer anything dishonestly or he can escape." Jeremiah thinks to himself.

"My biggest fear is finding out my failure in the future. You wanted all honest answers but I don't have many fears, but only fear of failure." Answers Jeremiah honestly.

"Hmm, we'll you have told the truth. Thanks for your answer, I will be sure to remember that." Comadust replies in a deceiving tone with a slight smile on his face.

"Yeah? Whatever I'm leaving anyway, have fun just standing there." Jeremiah replies with a low chuckle in his voice.

Jeremiah makes his way to the train station to head to DCA but the train isn't running at the moment so he has no choice but to ride his bike there. It is a 10 minute train ride there but a 17 minute bike ride to get to DCA, which is fine of course, but it is odd that the train isn't running because it never does this.

Jeremiah makes it to DCA and from there he does his research. He does a bit of studying for school as well but he's mostly interested in what he will invest his time and energy into the upcoming competition of invention.

He begins doing research about project Pegasus, which ultimately leads him to decide time travel is what he wants to aim for. After all he had been already acclaimed at such an early age. He had been deemed 1972 child prodigy of the year in computer science and software engineering and has already received his BA in those two courses. He has been also studying medicine for years at this point, next year is his last year for human biology, biochemistry and immunology. Although he prefers to be an ordinary teen and live life like people his age. The responsibilities will be endless as an adult and this opportunity to rely on others is short, so take them as they come.

"My project will be time travel? Which is ironic because I have a fear of future failure. So I will create time travel just to find out I fail in the future?" Says Jeremiah with a sense of humor as he shrugs it off.

He finishes his studying and his research and he heads back out and heads home for the evening before it gets late. "I should come back another time and do more research but I'm missing the first step to crack time travel." Jeremiah thinks to himself. "If I could have just got that one thing."

Jeremiah passes by the train station only to see there is no one there. "Why is it so dark here and nobody's here? Not even workers?" Jeremiah thinks to himself.

The scene is a dark transit center with no one around for a few miles or so. Jeremiah feels a bit eerie and the shadow man standing in the dark train door feels a bit too ominous. "The scene is somewhat similar to that of the ghost train game that Arnold had written. It is somewhat different than that though but that's just a made up story, either way I'm not going in there. Hahaha I won't risk it." Jeremiah says as he walks straight around it and quickly leaves.

Jeremiah makes it back home. When he enters the door his whole family is in a disarray.

"Your brother is gone and he said he's not ever coming back and he said something about a demon in the television talking to him." Says Jeremiah's mother in fear and worry.

"It's fine I'll go around the city and look for him and I'll bring him back. He will be okay, we will be okay." Said Jeremiah's father.

"How are you so calm in a time like this? just worry already, stop acting all calm, cool and collected. Don't you care, or worry at all?" Jeremiah's mother said to his father.

"I'll go and get him and he will be okay and of course I care, how does it seem that I don't? We're wasting time." Said Jeremiah's father.

They all get in the car and head out to look for Chris but I stayed behind because I already know he had been in my room, on my tv and it would be fine once I explain the situation to him, though it might not be as easy.

I head upstairs to my room and sure enough the blanket I used to cover the television screen was removed.

"I met your brother today and he came in here to steal, so I let him know, if anybody's gonna be stealing things around here, it's gonna be me! He didn't look happy after that hahaha and then I told him the rules of our game and he answered my question correctly, now he was smart for that one but Im just waiting for someone to mess up. I'll always be waiting for you to slip up." Said comadust.

"Great now my brother has to play your trashy game too?" Jeremiah says.

"Ah ah ah, not my game but my prison sentence. Yes he has to play and I'm going to get your whole family. One by one, they will all play the game. If even just one of them makes a mistake, I am free." Comadust says in excitement.

"No they're not going to do that!" Says Jeremiah.

"What're you going to do to help it? You can't stop this, you cants stop me." Says Comadust

"I'll just look for the game developers, I'm sure there is a way to exit this situation. I don't have to cooperate with or tolerate you." Says Jeremiah.

"That is true but good luck finding the developers, it'll already have been too late by that point. Time is running out." Comadust taunts Jeremiah

"My parents will be angry but I'm going to put a lock on this door when I'm gone. You Will not see anymore of them. I will also be notified when they try to get in here. Only Chris and myself know about you so far." Explains Jeremiah.

"Hahahaha I'm such a threat, your afraid mommy and daddy will find out about me, but they will also just help set me free anyway. I was so looking forward to seeing them." Comadust said in a dimming excitement.
