Chereads / A Glitching of Jeremiah / Chapter 7 - Static follows

Chapter 7 - Static follows

Ever since comadust showed up, I have been trying to search for the man who dropped his tape at the train station that day. If I can find him, maybe he would have some information I can use to rid me of this burden on my television.

"The very fact that someone would program a villain so lame and name him comadust is quite ridiculous." Jeremiah thinks to himself.

"Even though I don't see coma dust as the most dangerous person, he is still a grievance to be honest, if he is loose, he could be trouble for someone. Chris and I both have to play along with his foolishness everyday. I can stop it if I find the programmers." Jeremiah continued to think.

As I head out in the world this very day, I do notice something is a bit off. To be sure, to be careful I head upstairs to my room to see about Comadust first. "He is still there, I'll answer his question this morning so I can head out early." Jeremiah thinks to himself.

"What is the question of the day? I am going to head out earlier, so ask me the question now." Says Jeremiah impatiently.

Jeremiah hears a knock at his bedroom door, he answers it to find that it is Chris.

"I'm here to answer Comadusts question for the day, before I head off to school. Can I come in?" Asks Chris.

"Oh, so you know how to ask to come into my room now?" Says Jeremiah.

"I mean, I'm used to coming in and out of any room in this house. I've been doing it since forever." Says Chris in defense.

"Right, you do sneak into mom and dads room all the time and breaks things." Says Jeremiah.

"I didn't expect you'd have some weird little man living in your television and that you actually talk to him. It's upsetting that I have to do it now as well. Do you ever do anything that's cool?" Chris says.

"You wanna see something that's cool, you can skip my question for today and then you'll see what's really good." Says Comadust deceivingly.

"For breaking into my room all the time, I would let him do that, but no he's not doing that." Jeremiah answers for Chris.

"Fine have it your way, but I never said the question will stay easy questions." Comadust says.

"Ugh, shut up! Just get to the question." Jeremiah says in annoyance.

"Oh, Hmm, I have a question for the both of you, you will want to stay together for each other's question." Comadust responds back.

"Weird" Says Jeremiah.

"Chris? What were you actually in Jeremiah's room for?" Asks Comadust, because he knew something was up.

"Chris gives off a hesitant vibe. Making me really wonder, what reason was my brother even in my room for? I mean, because usually someone has a purpose for anything they do, whether looking for something or doing something, it's not enough to just say a because I can." Jeremiah thinks to himself.

Chris finally answers after thinking to himself.

"Don't lie to me, you will lose the game and I'll be set free." Comadust remind Chris.

"I had come in here the other day because I wanted to take one of Jeremiah's vhs tapes." Chris answers.

"You- hmmm. Next I'll ask Jeremiah. If I were to be free and I killed your whole family, then I gave you the option to stay alive-" asks Comadust.

"Why would you give me the option to stay alive?" Jeremiah interrupts.

"Don't interrupt my question, I gave you the option to stay alive but you had to trade places with me forever, would you do it?" Asks Comadust.

"So you would give me the option to stay alive if I traded places with you but only after you've killed my whole family? Not to mention to stay in a video game that does absolutely nothing, forever? That's actually still an easy question, I would say nope. I'm not doing it, I'll let you always return back to your prison, back to your agony." Jeremiah answers back.

"Okay okay, I get it, sheesh." Comadust says.

"We're leaving now, I won't be back until late." Says Jeremiah as he and Chris walks away.

"I noticed Chris has had a very worried look on his face since he's answered Comadust's question, Comadust is also acting strange as well. I just know I better come home tonight and Comadust still be there." Jeremiah thinks to himself.

Jeremiah and Chris gets into their mothers car and they head off to school.

They pull up to the front door of the high school building. Jeremiah is in 10th grade and Chris is in 9th grade.

"Why are you still here? You haven't pulled off yet?" Jeremiah looks back at his mother and asks.

"I already told you, I am going to watch you enter the building before I pull off, and don't question me, I'm the adult. Go to school and if I hear that your not in class, I'm going to take your door off the hinges and all your video games and your tv away?" Says Jeremiah's mother. "Little does she know, little does she actually know." Jeremiah thinks to himself.

"Okay, I'm going into the building now, have a good day bye." Says Jeremiah.

Jeremiah walks away and walks into the school building.

"Jeremiah? You actually came to class, we never see you these days." Says the robotics teacher, he is also the chemistry teacher and the biology teacher as well.

"Mr. stellar, I'm not here by choice. To be honest I don't even want to be here nor do I like to be here." Answers Jeremiah angrily.

"Aww, don't say that, we're very lucky to have you here. Let me know if you need anything, we can get it. You're also free to use the teachers and staff break rooms." Says mr. stellar

"Hey mr. stellar, why are you being so nice to him? he really doesn't look all that special to me, if he has to come to a school like this. This is public school, is he some rich kid?" Says an unacknowledged student who doesn't even exist in the eyes of or mean anything to anyone.

"No class, this is actually a very advanced student, I was lucky enough to even have him in my class." Mr. stellar says to the class. "I beat the other teachers out with this one. I wonder what kid Mr. zaney has this year. No it doesn't matter because he can't beat what I have." Mr. stellar begins to babble to himself.

"So that's what this is all about? You wanna use me? To beat some old man teacher friend of yours." Says Jeremiah in contempt.

"Ugh, well yeah, but you really are spectacular and at such a young age, you've already gotten BA's in courses where it took me a decade to get them. Honestly with the education you have, you could even teach classes." Answered Mr. stellar.

"Sometimes I wonder how that happen? That you are even a teacher. This occupation couldn't be mine. Eww." Jeremiah says to Mr. stellar. The irony.

"Mr. stellar he can talk to you like that?" One student says.

"Yeah don't talk to mr. stellar like that, I can't even talk to him like that." Student number two says.

"What are you talking about, you talk to him like that everyday?" A third student replies to student number two.

"What? I mean yeah, but he's just now showing up and he hasn't been here at all, so he can't do it." Student number two replies again.

"It's okay class, I know this kid well and he is a great student." Mr. stellar replies.

"Great Stu-dent? I don't have to be a student, my parents won't let me drop out, if I am being honest." Says Jeremiah.

"Yeah I wanna drop out too." Says student number two.

"I've always wanted to quit this place and travel." Replies the third student.

"You need money to travel, you need an education to know how to make money to travel. No one is dropping out. Why do you want to leave? Jeremiah you've only just got here." Says Mr. stellar.

"That's it, I'm heading out. I'm going to the library to do some study. I'll catch you on the flip side Mr. stellar." Jeremiah says before walking out of class.

"You're just going to let a student walk out like that?" Asks a student.

"How am I to stop him? He has more education than me. He doesn't even need high school." Mr. stellar answers to the class.

"Mr. stellar, will you tell us about that student?" A student asks.—————————

Jeremiah makes it to the basement library of the old brick building. I know what your thinking, "Why is there a library in the basement?"

That was just how the school was set up and the arrangements were made by the teachers and staff alone.

The basement is a bit dark, I'll need to turn on more lights if I can find the switch." Jeremiah thinks to himself.

He realizes all the computers are all flashing green screens all at the same time. "That is really strange, they are all glitching out. This school is too old." Jeremiah thinks to himself.

Just then all the computers screens in the library all turn off at the same time as well. It is very dark in the room and no one else is around. All the students and teachers and the staff are all upstairs in their classrooms or in the main office.

Out of nowhere the principal and a strange man walk down. Jeremiah hides because he doesn't understand the situation. He could use this chance maybe for an answer for what's going on with the computers.

"Ah, I missed the sign on the door as I came in, where it says no students in this room and computers are down." Jeremiah says in his head.

"I will take the computers off your hands, and I will send your check for the school to receive new computers from my company specifically." The man says to the school principal.

"Yes, thank you very much Mr. Weiss. For your contribution to our school. The students will be happy with new computers for their school work. I do find it rather strange that you of all people ever found out about this. How do you do it?" The principal asks, while he unknowingly asks dangerous questions.

"It's really no need to over think it, I love helping children and plus these computers are from my company, they are just so old, they will need fixing and updating. We will just replace them for the school and provide the children with all new computers." Says Dr. Weiss.

"Yes, thank you again for giving the children new equipment." Says the principal, again.

The two walk away together.

"Hold on, that is the man who dropped the tape, the one I've been looking for. Looks like he came right to me." Jeremiah says to himself.

Jeremiah then notices while Dr. Weiss had been in the room, the computers had been acting strangely. They produced an automatic static like a television and the computer screen began magnetizing and moving along to the direction Dr. Weiss would walk along. Dr. Weiss would walk across the room with a television static following behind him. "Did the principal not notice this?" Jeremiah thought to himself.

Jeremiah waits a few seconds before heading back upstairs and follows Dr. Weiss.

"Dr. Weiss is also hosting the competition of invention, I have to quickly finish my project for the competition also." Jeremiah thinks to himself.

"He waits an hour and a half for Dr. Weiss to finish his meeting with the school board." Jeremiah says in his narrator voice as he stands at Dr. Weiss own car, and as he sees Dr. Weiss approach.

"Hmm, so you finally found me, ehh?" Says a bland face Dr. Weiss. As he approaches Jeremiah.
