"What are you doing? Didn't I say we're leaving?" Demanded Comadust.
"But you see the name on that family's mailbox, right?" Asks Jeremiah just to be sure of himself.
"I wonder about that father and the son who ran through the portal, who are they then?" Jeremiah thinks to himself.
"Yes and why would I care? We shouldn't even be in the future. Send me back to 1939 now!" Demanded Comadust in an annoyed tone.
Jeremiah stands there still in shock as Comadust walks up on Jeremiah and snatched the device.
"Send me back to 1939 now! You can come here at anytime but let's leave." Comadust says angrily.
"O..ok!" Agrees Jeremiah as he finally comes back down to earth.
The two of them leave and travels back in time to 1939. They take a train to coldgold city.
"You could just stay here by yourself, I brought you here and you think you can just force me to stay back in time?" Jeremiah says in an annoyed voice.
"Of course you have to stay in the case I need to go back to the present." Says Comadust when he knows he has a mission as to why he's come back in time.
"This isn't my era, and you're a serial killer, are you sure you're not going to spaz out and go on a killing spree?" Jeremiah says knowing Comadust is alway back and forth.
"Do you want me to?" Asks Comadust, just to taunt Jeremiah.
"No." Jeremiah said without any hesitation.
"Then shut up." Comadust says while annoyed.
"Well, will we be there any time soon?" Asks Jeremiah impatiently.
"Damn! You don't ever shut up. Yes we'll be there soon." Comadust says angrily.
After an hour goes by the train stops in the coldgold transit center.
"Can I leave now?" Asks Jeremiah.
"You're not leaving until I am done." Comadust responds.
"Ugh!" Says annoyed Jeremiah.
"We're going to wait until tonight. So we will sleep on the train." Explains Comadust, (but Comadust don't explain himself.)
"Well I guess at this point, I'm out of the competition." Jeremiah gives up before even trying, maybe he can still make the competition, who knows. (The author)
"Ay, but you have the most important invention. You have really helped me." Said Comadust unexpectedly.
"Really?" Jeremiah says as he is flattered.
"Sike!" Comadust says as he begins to laugh at Jeremiah thinking highly of himself.
"I just knew that was coming." Jeremiah says under his breath.
Some time has passed, it had been a couple of hours. The sun was setting and the day was almost over. To describe the setting in detail, it was the dry desert but the outskirts of a ghost town. It had old cafes covered in sand. When the rivers dried up and all of the city's natural resources were gone then so were the people. The train station is planted a little ways down from the abandoned cafes. "No wonder ominous things happen out here. There is nothing but us and the train since all the people left." Jeremiah says to Comadust.
"Yes, it's a perfect place to get away with murder, don't you think?" Comadust taunts Jeremiah.
"You're saying you're going to murder me?" Jeremiah says in an annoyed voice.
"No that's not what I'm saying." Comadust realizes Jeremiah can easily out power him because he has the time device.
"Don't you even think about it, you threaten me but I'm the one with the power over you, you murder me and you'll never get back to present day or any time for that matter." Argues Jeremiah.
"Hmm, but you honestly believe that? Who would care if you were murdered back in 1939? Your whole world would cease to exist but mine wouldn't be altered a bit." Explains Comadust with too much pride, more than he knows what to do with.
"That doesn't even make sense, if I were to be murdered now, you would have never been freed from your prison, I would have never found your tape." Explains Jeremiah.
"Hmm, I didn't consider that but it wouldn't stop me even still." Argues Comadust.
"If you wanted to murder me, wouldn't you have already done it by now, we've gone the whole day, I don't care if you're supposed to be evil or whatever." Jeremiah responds.
"Again, I'm not supposed to be anything. I am evil." States Comadust.
"Hm, yeah ok. I could have been left here much earlier." Argues Jeremiah.
"Then why are you still here?" Asks Comadust while knowing Jeremiah's nosy answer.
"I want to see what happened to you of course. I came all this way already and the competition goes again tomorrow. I missed day 2 of the competition but I can still go for day 3." Says Jeremiah.
"Won't you be disqualified for missing the entire day 2?" Comadust asks even though he doesn't care.
"No. They will still accept my genius invention in the competition tomorrow, I'll come up with an excuse." Jeremiah claims.
"You should know about your brother." Comadust says.
"What are you? A snitch? What should I know?" Asks Jeremiah.
"I'm no snitch but I love to ruin a good plan so… take it or leave it. Your brother planned on using your device to make you disappear in time. I hope this ruins your relationship for the rest of your life." Comadust speaks quickly and taunts Jeremiah.
There was a silence for a couple of seconds until...… (snicker) comadust bursted out laughing.
"I know all about my brother, he is unintelligent." Jeremiah says.
"That's the very reason he dislikes you, you were always better than him?" Asks Comadust.
"Yes, always better." Jeremiah says.
"I had a brother or multiple brothers." Comadust just felt the need to add that in their.
"No one cares." Jeremiah brushes off his comment.
"My brothers weren't envious of me but I must say I had a bit of it for them." Comadust continues.
"Didn't I say, I didn't care?" Jeremiah says again.
"Hahahaha, don't flatter me." Comadust says.
"Anyways wake me up when it's time for whatever it is we are waiting for." Says Jeremiah as he gets into his sleeping bag that is in the train.
A couple of hours passes and it is morning. The sun is not close to rising anytime soon. The desert is extremely dark. So dark, somehow your eyes give illusions of human figures walking pass. Of course, that's just a natural matter when your not use to being in the dark anyway.
The sound of pressure from someone moving in the dust can be heard right outside the train door. Someone is walking past the train and heading toward the back.
"It's Dr. Weiss? Why is he here? And where did comadust go?" Jeremiah thinks to himself.
Jeremiah proceeds to follow Dr. Weiss to the back of the train.
