Chapter 6 - Phantom transit

"What is wrong? Why are we heading East? our destination is south! We've all paid for this trip, we didn't think we were getting a conductor whose not even so professional as to do a proper job he is properly being paid to do! I'm trying to make it back home to my family! And we need to head there now!" Explained one angry passenger.

Without saying anything, the conductor got out of his seat. The angry expression on his face has an aura that is quite easily felt. The feeling illuminates the room with tension strong enough to produce a headache of one who falls upon its gaze. As the conductor walks over to the man, other passengers take notice that he is the only conductor on the train.

"Weren't there two of them?" One of the passengers utters.

The conductor approaches the angry man and pulls out a pistol, the tip of the gun sits directly between the top and bottom row of the mans teeth. For two seconds the gun sat at a rest, a second later a lifeless body drops hard to the floor.

"The rest of you had better not try anything funny, don't say a word and don't bother me. If you even try to get away, I will send you some Rest In Peace." Says the conductor in a calm monotone voice.

The conductor calmly walks away and before he could leave, another man decides he is not going to cooperate.

"You're not going to do this to us! I'm not going to go along with this, let us all leave now!" One passenger says in anger and rebellion.

"Hmm, anyone who wishes to leave and abandon me here, come forth now." The conductor says.

One by one, a little over half of the passengers step forward. All of them not considering what is about to take place next.

"Alright, since it has to be this way. I want to say to the fraction of people who have not turned against me, you listened to what I say, you consider your position thoroughly, you're not impulsive, you are wise. The lack of understanding is one of the greatest faults to those who lead themselves, in the next life do consider your power." The conductor says.

The amount of fear produced by this statement alone had been enough to turn them all against each other. "It is too late, there is no way off this train, we're all going to be slaughtered because you had to run your big mouth! You deserve to die first, at least!" One passenger said to the other.

It soon became a blood bath as people began to react rashly in fear, one by one, they all began to drop. One dropping one and then another dropping that one. That is until there were all but 4 people left.

The 4 passengers who remain were eventually moved to another unit by the conductor. One of them was a young boy around the age of 11, he had been going to a city where he was to be staying with his father. He missed school that day to relocate, he had also been the only one his age on the train. The second passenger was a middle aged business man. He would never say much, and he had also been completely unbothered by the whole situation but in an almost comforting way. Enough to make you believe he would be very insightful in a dangerous situation. The third passenger was a woman in her late twenties, she was in a very early stage of pregnancy, it was only slightly showing. The last man was an elderly man, it's safe to say the reason he survived had been because he couldn't walk without support, so he sure couldn't fight or do much of anything these days. His purpose of this trip had been to visit his also elderly sister some miles away.

The above story has been narrated by Arnold.—————————————————————

"These four are your choices in the game, you choose who you play, but you also can see their many different stories and gameplay outcomes and special endings. Any choice you choose will lead to a specific event taking place. The conductor is to be the villain and he is very tricky." Said Arnold.

"This sounds like a very specific story." Said Jeremiah.

"Oh it is, it is based on a true story. I did change the whole ghost thing but the massacre did happen and there really was only four survivors in the end, but there were 68 passengers dead and gone. It was never known if the conductor survived or not, he did indeed vanish, but I'm sure given that this is a very old story, he died at some point in some time. He really was a bad man." Said Arnold.

"Your writing for this game sounds astonishing already, I have to work nicely in order so the art keeps up, then we will have a game the world will see they needed." Says Jeremiah.

"I've been thinking of naming the conductor a name that ties into the game, so maybe something like Brother soul spit, since he is the antagonist for the game, not to mention these types of names are popular for villains these days. For this game we will be alternating between two art styles. Our game will be of the greatest of its day." Says Arnold optimistically.

"I will have the art done by the end of the week, give me seven days and then an additional few days for the publisher's." Jeremiah says.
