Demi's Pov
I welcomed the hard wind that blew across my face as I rode my bike to my aunt's house. It cooled the heat that ran from my head to every part of my body! I couldn't believe my own parents did this to me!
How dare they just ship me off to some mad lady's house. I don't care if she my aunt or not. She'd gone coocoo for the past few years. Even if my parents refuse to admit it!
They've tried for years to convince my siblings and I that she wasn't insane, just different. So far, they'd gotten no where. Well, I guess they've put me in that category because they'd literally sent me packing to her house!
I got home from school this late afternoon thinking that I'd just have an unusually quiet afternoon in my room. Because lately that had been difficult to come by.
But I got to my room and found it totally empty. Well, not totally empty the furnitures were still there. But it felt and looked empty because all my personal belongings were gone!
My clothes, my laptop, my game station that I worked hard to buy, the uncountable pairs of Snickers that I owned and took pride in, my croggs and most importantly my baseball bat!
I didn't play baseball but a baseball bat had other important uses than for playing baseball right? I mean it could be used to vandalize school and public property, can be used to smash someone's head lights and let's not forget it's windshield, could be used to break a leg, a house window, break into your school lockers and a host of others
Trust me, I Would know since I've done all those and more. My family knew how much I valued that bat and other things in my room so why would they even think of touching my things
With that in mind, I stormed away from the door of my room and down the hallway banging on every one door as I went.
Once I was at the end of the hallway, I stopped and swiftly turned around. My entire family were each standing out side their rooms.
My younger bother and sister saw the dangerous look on my face and cowered back to their doors. My parents came out of their rooms looking at me wearily and holding each others hand for some kind of moral support
While my older brother Jack gave me a bored look. He seemed to be the only person in this house that didn't fear me. He thought that I should be the one cowering in fear whenever he was around. That thinking of his made us clash... A lot!
I had lost counts of the number of fist fight we'd gotten into. Our fist fights always end up with distruction of properties, broken bones and blood baths...not necessarily ours. I hadn't lost a fight yet because our nosy neighbours or the police always showed up in time to stop us before someone was killed.
Jack and I both got high grades in school but Jack was a well trained hypocrite because despite our fights outside school, he managed to be the teacher's favourite in school and also be the most popular guy in school
While I was popular in schools for the number of detentions, suspensions, number of transfers and that I'd gotten so far. I've been moved around the schools in this town so much that I sometimes forget the name of the school I was currently attending
But that didn't matter right now what mattered was that someone dared to even step foot into my room!
"Who the hell moved things in my room!" I yelled looking at them with wild eyes
"I did" Jack said with that disgusting bored tone of his
"Why the heck would you do that!" I replied matching towards him with fisted hands ready to smash his face in
He also took a fighting stance ready for my arrival. But my mom immediately rushed between the both of us while pulling my dad along with her
"Please stop. We asked him to do that" my mom immediately said
"I don't care who asked him to do what or if he was on drugs. What on earth give him the audacity to touch..." I paused mid sentence as soon as my brain really processed what she said "You both did what?!"
"Demi, we asked him to move them because as of right now your things are currently being shipped to your Aunt Gracie's house. You mom and I decided on it was for the best that you go stay with her for a while" he ended obvious trying to sound tough but having serious trouble doing that with me staring at him with hard eyes
"I'm sorry but what?" I asked
"Sarah we've already arranged everything with Gracie. We'll drive you to her house on Saturday" my mom added
"Ok. So while you "arranged" all this did you forget a very unimportant detail. I don't know... like you asking me first!" The statement started of calmly but ended on a thunderous voice
"We knew you'd protest and it was a spontaneous decision on our paths. So there was no time to tell you" my dad said
"So basically, you don't want me anymore, so you're sending me away to your insane sister?" I asked looking for clarification
"For the thousandth your aunt isn't mad!" My dad replied
"And no, its not like we don't want you any more. It's the headaches and trouble you bring that we don't want anymore!" My mom added
"That's basically the same thing in my book! You're both discarding me like you would a trash!" I retorted.
I heard Jack let out a snort and also at this point, my younger siblings, June and Drew had dispersed. But I didn't pay any of that attention
"No we aren't doing that!" My mom replied vehemently
"Alright Demi, let's just take it as... Us taking a vacation for the next school semester because you'll be there for the rest of this schools term. Your school willingly arranged the transfer details given the current circumstances" my dad ended
"So why aren't you also shipping him off!" I asked pointing at my brother
"Because he only gets into fight with you at home. He's never once gotten into trouble at school which is why he's been in the same school since junior class unlike you that has made twenty transfers so far... Well twenty one if you add the current development. We believe with you somewhere else, he wouldn't be much trouble" my mom said her speech that basic described how much my brother was better than me
I look at my parents like the total deserters they were before mumbling "send me aunt Gracie's house location, now"
After saying that I backed away from the hallway and started going down the stairs.
"Why?" My mom asked
"Just send it!" I yelled back already picking up my back pack and keys
"What are you planning to do?" My dad asked this time
"Since you both want me gone so bad, How about I do you both a huge favour and make it quicker. Why wait for three days when I can drive there right now? So send me her address" I replied reaching for my pocket to make sure make sure my phone was there
"Demi this is insane!" My dad yelled
"Well would you look at that! I'm sure aunt and i will get along just fine then" I replied why I went outside and marched to my bike
"It's not safe, Demi! It's already getting late and how can you drive there alone. We'd be so worried! How about you wait till Saturday?" My mom suggested
"Not happening" I replied before mounting my bike and turning on the ignition
"I expect that address before I reach the outskirts of this town. If not, I'll head somewhere else. Somewhere that you can't find me. Got it" I added before driving off, leaving my shocked parents behind
I didn't give them the pleasure of knowing that driving away hurt me more than it did them. How could my own parents do this to me! I knew I was the black sheep of the family but they didn't have to rub it my face that they didn't want a child like me.
Did they think I wanted to be one? I've honestly tried multiple times to change but it never worked out well. People always want to just walk all over me and I could never stand for that
I made sure I had driven at least three miles ways from the house before letting a single tear drop from my eyes.
I had been crying for the past hour. Which was why I had driven most of the way with fogged up eyes.
I had stopped at a gas station ten minutes before to refuel the bike's tank, get something to eat and check if my parents had sent the address. They had with a message that said.
"You can always turn around and wait till Saturday. Honey, we love you so much!"
Love my ass, I thought. Before I figured out a way to attach my phone in front of me so I could see the map directions while I drove.
After driving for two extra hours I finally enter into the town my aunt lived, Evertown. Dumbest name of ever heard for a town. I already hated the place just from hearing its name.
I was just ten minutes from my and was about to bend a corner that, according to the map, led into my aunt Gracie's street. When I encountered the dumbest thing ever!
A car was right in the middle of the road and a four teenage boys hanged around the car. One guy in particular caught my attention because he stood by the side of the driver's door relaxing lazily on it.
His feet were spread in front of him in a lazy stretch. Like he was in his living room and not on the road.
"Hey! Can y'all move!" I yelled at them in a hard voice at them
"Bro use the next street! This one is being occupied!" One of them with brown curly hair replied
"Yeah" the other two boys amongst the group added, they both had thick black hairs and looked like siblings to me
"But I want to use this street" I increased the hardness my voice
"Make you of that" the blonde haired boy that had caught my attention earlier but hadn't said anything so far finally spoke up this time. He pointed towards the granite filled side ways lazily still not moving from his relaxed position
First off, He gave the same vibe my elder brother and that pissed me off already. And his dumb suggestions added fire to the already burning flame because I knew how much damage the granites would do to my bike tires
"Okay" I said aloud with a smirk before backing up my bike a little
Have it your way, I thought. Before raving my engine and driving with an insane speed right by the side of his door. I made sure to ride my bike over his leg and also made sure my bike handles smashed his side mirror.
"Son of a bitch! When I get you, you're dead!" I heard him yell in pain behind me and also heard his friend send some R-rated insults at me
"I hope I broke all of your toes" I whispered to my self before focusing my attention on getting to my aunt's house.
