Chapter two
I remember that day, when my crush approached me. I could not believe my eyes, I thought I was dreaming. My heart beat-rate increasing as he walked towards my table. First I thought he was going to the table in front of mine. Then he passed that table and was walking directly to m table, I thought he was going to the table behind mine.
When he came to my table, He did not proceed to the table behind me, but cleaned my table, then pulled out a chair and sat in front of me.
"Hi." He said as his lips made a bright smile that showed off his white sparkling teeth. I stared at him for a little moment before I responded to him. He was staring back at me.
"Hello." Hello I said as I awkwardly smiled back at him. I noticed my awkward smile through his brown eyes, that stared straight into mine.
"I'm Nick," He said stretching his had out to shake hands with me after I gave him mine.
"Hilda." I told him mine, as we shook our hands.
"I like your name, Hilda," he complemented my name, as it was clear that conversationalist was one of his trait.
"Thank you, I like yours too, Nick." I replied, trying not to blush, I didn't want to make it obvious that I liked him.
"I'm sorry, its Nicholas." He corrected me. My expression changed as he spoke, "Its okay, it was my fault. My full name is Nicholas, only my friends call me Nick, you came call me that if you like." He grinned.
I smiled, the fact that he considered me as his friends drove me crazy. I had just met spoke to him for the first time. Had I introduced myself sooner, we would be dating by now.
I had been single for six months, I broke up with my boyfriend after I found out he was cheating on me. I wasn't his only girlfriend, he had two more girlfriend and he also cheated on with his baby momma.
First I found out about the first girlfriend, she confronted me and asked if was dating her boyfriend, he was m boyfriend too. Instead of fighting each other, his baby momma attacked both of us at the same time and she revealed the other two girls, that made a us four girlfriends of one man. On top of that he had lied to me, he never told me anything about having a child, besides that he was steal seeing the baby momma. I didn't want to involve myself in more drama so I left him with his four girlfriends, who knows maybe there were more than that.
"Do you know the guy who was sitting here?" he said, pointing at the empty chair next to me.
"Oh, you mean Dean?" I replied. As I was sure it was him. Just a few moments ago, Dean had accidentally crushed on Nick, making the tray fall dropping all the food that was on it. An orange juice splashed on Dean's shirt.
He apologized and paid for the damages he had caused. Then went out to change. I think that was my fault too, o should have also paid. Dean was facing back at me as we were talking, he was on his way out.
"Is that Dean?" He asked as his facial expression changed, he looked surprised, "He has changed,"
He was right, Dean had changed! I remember Dean at college, he looked nothing like how he now looked. It was like he was a different person. He was now one of the hottest guys in the city.
"Are you friends with him?" He asked looking a little concerned. I did not want to lie to him hopping he was not going to be jealous of Dean, but still he was also hot, only that Dean was more masculine than he was.
"Not really, we went to the same college. So he recognized me first. You were right, he has changed." I replied frankly
"Do you have his number?" he asked in a pleading tone hoping I had it, unfortunately it was the first time I met him since graduation day.
"No, I wished I had," I said comfortingly as a lot questions ran in my mind, wondering why he needed his phone number.
"He dropped this. On the floor as he helped me clean up after that accident." He said as if he could read my mind.
"I can read your mind," He said jokingly in a creepy voice, I puzzled. "Relax, I'm joking. Maybe I read your facial expression." He said.
"I though I would find his address. In his wallet, but it has nothing but just this bank cards and this other weird documents. If it wasn't for the documents and Debit card, I was going to keep the money and throw away the wallet since he did not give me any tips." He said.
I realized that had a good sense of humor, as I kept laughing each time he spoke. Maybe he was my matched, since I also had a good sense of humor.
"I know this bar," I said as I saw his membership card. It was near just a few minutes away from the Café, a walk able distance.
"Maybe you should come with me tonight, today is the ladies night I'm sure he will be there." I said, I paused upon realizing what I had done. I had asked a boy out for a date. I didn't directly ask him out.
My heart was beating very fast as I waited for his response. I didn't mean to ask him out but it just happened.
"That's great, I didn't have plans for today. Are you sure his going to be there today." I sighed, in relief. I thought he was going to react to that, or turn it into a joke, I wasn't quite sure.
