The ground shook as the gigantic ant appeared from below by the queen's command, giving everyone the intense feeling of inferiority as a giant being stood in front of them, getting ready to join the battle under the enemy's will. The ant as tall as the earthen walls. Eyes devoid of any color but black, along with its red-colored body, with its giant pincers and feet that can tear anything apart.
The team stood in awe. The ant queen laughed as she reached above her pet and gazed onto the preys below, ready to be eaten alive. "I never thought that I would be using my pet, Dino for breeds like you." Said the queen, standing on her giant pet.
The ant's gigantic feet moved towards the team below. Its footsteps galloped along the marsh grounds. Kent flew away, avoiding the giant ant's strike before it hit her. She signaled everyone to back out as they try to comprehend the situation in front of them. "Dino! Destroy everything!" shouted the queen.
With no hesitation, the giant ant trampled the earthen wall with ease. Thankfully, everyone was transported before it happened and were carried on to safe places. The earthen wall fell, pieces by pieces onto the marsh, destroying their main defense from the marching enemies.
"What do we do now? That monster won't stop until it gets to the hive and destroy it. It's our home."
Alex tried to use his powers, but nothing came out of it. He never wanted to admit it, but he will be useless in this point of time. The termites, under Christians command tried to stop the gigantic ant but ants of their sizes responded to the queens call and directed their attacks elsewhere, protecting the giant ant who is busy destroying everything until it gets to the hive.
Gloyd shrieked, trying to numb the giant ant's body. But nothing happened. "I can't do anything." Gloyd muttered. Kent looked at the everyone, who seemed to get lost in their despairing thoughts. "Don't lose hope! Try to minimize the damage from the hive, focus on the little ones! Help the termites!" Kent shouted.
Everyone looked at her, and decided to do what she said. The spikes reflected the moon's light and shone as they rose it and ran towards the battle, afraid but determined to protect their new home. A battle cry resounded as they ran towards the ants, helping the termites. The transformed beings tried to minimize the damage too by also going and helping everyone in protecting the hive.
"Retreat when you think you can't do anything anymore; your lives matter most. Don't try to die fighting!" Kent shouted while she pierces every single ant she encountered. "Kent, I'm really sorry. My powers, I think, were drained." Alex shouted. Kent looked at his eyes where Alex showed extreme sadness. Kent soothed him with a smile and asked to head towards their escape route, which they all planned if the war goes sideways. Alex nodded and ran towards the South part of the hive.
Christian along with Gloyd, fought the ant queen. Distracting her from the others. Christian called some of the termites and softened the ground of which the giant ant stood, creating tunnels and biting its feet to prevent the walking catastrophe from going farther. But they expected that this will not last, and the ant queen immediately destroyed the termites in a flash. She flew with extreme haste and stabbed the termites with her daggers, living a stinking stench of the termites' blood and torn flesh.
"What do we do?" Christian asked Gloyd. "We don't have a choice; we have to run and escape for good. We cannot win this war with our powers alone. Belle's unconscious and Alex cannot use his power anymore. My wings are heavy now, I think I won't last much longer." Gloyd reasoned. Christian nodded, ready to fly back and report to Kent that they can't hold the giant ant anymore, not this time. They're too weak for the ant queen, even with their powers combined. They realized how strong the past queen bee was, preventing the three queens from extending their land just from her powers alone. They don't want to blame Kent, but this battle they are now part in, will eventually result in their loss and they have to find shelter where they could hide themselves from the queen's wrath.
In despair, both of the flying humanoids flew towards Kent where they saw her fighting the ant queen's soldiers along with her guards. A loud destructive sound echoed in the marshland, as the giant ant with its queen on her head destroyed the bottom part of the giant hive. The hardened nectars fell pieces by pieces. Countless number of bees tried to attack the giant ant with their little strength but all died in an instant. Kent's eyes bulged and her eyes wear heavy as she witnessed the bees died in an instant. Kent's bond with the bees, after she received the power is a heavy weight. Maybe it's because she's their queen now and shared the same sentiment with her workers and soldiers. The feeling of being a mother to a countless number of yellow little insects torn apart where she fell in a deep feeling of grief. She shouted and ran towards the giant ant, not minding if she can do it or not, but she should because that's what a mother does when her children are in that state.
The ant queen heard Ken't scream and smirked, "Do you really think you can defeat me with that rage? I'm sorry, but we experienced worst!" The ant queen flew and fought against grieving Kent where she parried her lance with her dagger. "I'm surprised, I thought you've grown weaker. I think this is what you call an instinct when you've isolated into a corner where there's no glimpse of being victorious." The ant queen said. Kent flew backwards where she materialized her crossbow and tried to shoot the ant queen with her poison arrows, but the ant queen swung her daggers, directing the poison arrows from anywhere but hers. The ant queen laughed, "You're weak. Tricks like these can never defeat me."
Kent continued to catch her breath as she thinks of different ways on how to defeat the enemy in front of her, but she never can. She's way ahead of her. She didn't completely understand how her powers work and this put them in a direful situation which they can never get out from. Were they wrong in killing the past queen bee? Should they have just talked it through? They didn't have a choice. If they didn't, they must have perished in the past. All of them.
Another loud bang resonated in the marsh and another part of the hive was destroyed, pieces by pieces, they all fell into the wet grounds of the marshland. The little bees still tried to sting their giant enemy of which they did not do and all perished. "Please, stop!" Kent tried to signal the bees to back away, but they did not listen. Their role was to protect their homes from a predator that they can never win. They will die protecting their home. Kent looked around and some of her classmates were taken back to the South where they aided each other, tired and some are unconscious. Christian and Gloyd aided their fellow classmates with their remaining power and they decided to back away from the battle. Kent understood their situation and communicated with her bees to guard them with their life as they retreat. The giant termites with Christian's command barricaded the giant ants so, they can not go farther as they reach for their escape route, hopeless.
"Look at all of you. Realized that you can never win against me, retreated." Said the ant queen. "You failed as a queen, and that resulted to your loss. You will die in this land. I will find all of you and destroy even your soul."
Kent smirked, even with little strength, she should buy some time so that everyone can escape, "More reason for me not to." She continued to shoot some arrows and managing to keep her distance away from her classmates. The ant queen was furious and flew towards Kent with haste, ready to stab the queen bee with her dagger. Kent dodges. Kent was ready to die. If I die, will another injection appear from my body where they can pass the queen bee's power to someone? If so, then I hope one of them can find it and use it. One that is more deserving than me. Kent gazed where all her classmates were earlier and saw that they have all retreated successfully. The termites were still barricading the route and they are still fighting the ants. "Maybe this is it, for me?" she smiled. She can no longer fly and drained all of her strength, she closed her eyes and her wings stopped flapping. She then continues to fall like a bird who was shot in the sky. "Pity." The ant queen muttered, and looked towards the falling queen. Only the queen didn't. When a colorful wing reached and caught the queen bee before it reached the ground. The ant queen was dumbfounded, did not expect of the sudden intrusion. "With this, you will say that you're ready to die, huh?" the ant queen said.
"Maybe? Maybe not. I just see that she's better that you." The butterfly queen said. "And she definitely needs saving." She added.
