After few weeks, she prepares to board the train to meet her estranged father. As all her friends and her family members, came to the station. Everyone hugged her as they bid her goodbye.
Is that all you've?" Piper embraces Maggie as she departs for City Of Jaybridge.
"Yes, sister, all are in the train," Maggie confirms.
"You're a big girl, you know how to handle yourself."
"Sure, big sis Anne, you taught me everything I know about self-defense. Maggie stated, "I'll make use of it."
"I'm going to miss you, so that's good." Maria gives you a hug
Linda, her aunt hugs, "don't talk to strangers, and work hard, okay?"
Maggie hugged her aunt and said, "Yes, Aunt."
"I hope your family treats you well" says Aunt Linda who hands over a chain with a pendant
"What's this?"
"It's from your mother before she died, she told to have it when you find your father" replied Linda
As she opened the pendant, it was the photo of her when she was a baby. She smiles and thanks Linda, "I will treasure this with my life". Linda hugs her and gives a stroke to her head and wore her the necklace.
Later Evelyn comes and called to her "Maggie."
"Big sis" Maggie runs to her
"My lord, how long have you grown, you were so small and look where you are now," Evelyn said, hugging her
"Thank you for all of the memories," Maggie said.
Evelyn presents a gift, saying, "Here, take this, it's a pendant of a dove, it says it brings good luck."
"Thank you, Big Sis," Maggie said as she hugged her.
The train whistles, signaling that it is time to board.
"All right, here I go," Maggie said.
"Take care," Anne advised.
"Take care, love," Maria said, waving.
"Be careful!... Do not become a lesbian or a prostitute." Piper waving and cracks a joke and receives a knock from Anne
"OWW…"
"Take care, dear," Linda said, tears streaming down her cheeks. "Bye Maggie, don't forget about us." said Evelyn as she waved
"Bye everyone, I'll be back soon, and I'll send you letters." Maggie waved to everyone
They all smile as the train rides away
Maggie sits in her seat and pulls out her diary. "All right, Yuna, let's see where our journey takes us," she says as she had completed her journey. As she prepares for new journey, she remembers the prince and the duchess and thinks to herself that she doesn't want to have another life ruined and plans to live her free life and live as a normal girl though she is now a daughter of a Baron, she intends to marry, have kids and die a peaceful death unlike her first life and her second life. But main question which rings to her is that how the baron of Cunningham will be?
As she reached the house, as she came close to the gate, she saw the house as an old like a cottage not looking too royalty and though the house had a small garden , the interior of the garden looked beautiful. she was awaited by a man who was standing next to the main entrance. He wore a fine suit fit for a butler and had a mushy mustache. Yuna taking her name as Maggie now walks towards the house after walking through the gate. He comes across the man and looks to his eyes.
"Good evening, Sir, is this perhaps the house of Cunningham?" Maggie asked him
The man looks at her and watches her closely. As he looked at her, Maggie felt nervous as the man would kick based on what stories she used to read when she was reading novels during her 1st life. The man looked at her and opened his hands and hugged her tightly.
"Margareth you are finally home" the man shouted crying, " I thought I lost you and Beth"
Maggie was shocked to see the man hugging and most shocking that the man she thought that he was the butler was actually Maggie's own father.
As he removed his hands, Maggie was relieved by his hands and finally took a breath. As she looked at him. He actually looked like her as he had the same eyes and both her and the man had the same mole on the ear.
She asked, "Are you… really my father?"
He nods, "Come in child, welcome back to your house"
As she went inside, she saw the house interior, it didn't look too royal but like a Nobel's house and there were like few furniture, as she looked around, there seem to be no maids but there was a woman and a small boy standing. The lady ran towards her and hugged
"You finally came, you just look like Bethany"
"You knew my mother?" Maggie asks her
"Yes child, Bethany is my childhood friend who considered me as a sister"
It was all confusing to her as she thought, the lady would be a cruel, sly step mother who thinks about her kids and leaves Maggie as a slave, but in this case, not only was she kind but also beautiful. Even the boy who look like a girl was smiling as he hugged her mom.
As they sat for their supper, everyone gave a grand hospitality to her by feeding her goodies and she was presented with a girlish like room though the family looked poor, but were like happy go lucky chaps. But still questions kept on coming to her.
"If you don't mind, would you explain why was I abandoned by you all if you'll are so kind. Why didn't you find me or my mother before?"
They all stop their fun and sits quietly. It was an awkward silence as they became serious while the boy looks around confused.
The baron scoffs and looks at Maggie," Let me introduce myself, I am your father, Sir George Cunningham, a trader of Cunningham tea who own all fresh tea from different countries which I serve across in this town and your mother is Betthany Silver, a songstress and we married for two years."
Then the lady speaks, "My name is Olivia Sugar and I was Betthany's childhood friend and also your god mother". The lady comes to her and hands over a picture, "This is your mother"
As she looks at the picture, the lady in the picture looks exactly like her but more beautiful and recognizes her in her 2nd life as one of the court singers who came to entertain the ball when she was the queen.
"So, this is my mother?"
Sir George says. "Yes, this is Beth, we were married for two years and she was pregnant and we were living a good life, until the war broke in between the north kingdom and south kingdom, your mother was separated while we were fleeing and after the war, me and Olivia were finding her but found corpses everywhere and some were burnt. We didn't believe that Beth was dead and kept on finding. Olivia who too was pregnant lost her husband too during the fight and as she was in labor, I could not do anything but become the child's father but though married we kept on finding you"
As they hugged and console each other, Lady Olivia spoke "we were so happy to see that you were alive when we got the letter from the duke and was lost of words"
The lady holds Maggie's hands, "Tell me Maggie, do you have any memories of your mother"
She shakes her head, "No, the only thing I heard from my dream was my mother was a struggling woman, who had to take care of her child and go to jobs as a waitress. What my aunt Linda said to me was that my mother was a kind person and always was ready to help, but alas death came to her as she suffered from fever and was buried next to the church where I used to live."
She then opens her satchel and hands over the letters which the real Maggie told. As both read, tears rolled over them and Lady Olivia fell to her knees.
"Are you okay Ma'am?'
"Yes, George should we go and see Betthany?" Olivia asks the baron
"Yes, lets go this coming weekend, I want to see my wife one last time"
As the weekend came, the family went to Betthany's grave and prayed for her good life while Maggie stood next to the tree where the letters were buried.
"Maggie, I fulfilled your wish, I hope you're happy that you got your family back," said a tearing May
Two hands hugged her and as she turned, it was the real Maggie herself, her words were mute but as her lips moved she was saying thank you as she flew towards another soul which look like Betthany who gave a bow as thanks. As she and the mother flew to heaven, tears of happiness were pouring to her eyes.
"Maggie" Lady Olivia called as they came from the grave
Yuna rubbed her eyes and spoke to herself, "I will live a normal life away from royalty, away from the prince and live a quite and peaceful life"
She taking the form of Maggie runs towards them, "Coming Mother...…Coming Father" she said as she hugged her new mother and father and was joined by her brother, Thus starting the new life of Maggie Cunningham.
