Myeong abruptly rose out of a bed. Although, he had barely moved he was immediately out of breath, he desperately panted to try to catch his breath.
*SFX : Panting*
Myeong glanced around the room, with a confused look. Whilst his hand grasped at his heart, a stern looking man in a suit at the other end of the room stared at him.
"Careful there," The man spoke, his voice was cold and rough, but his words were the opposite. "Try not to move too much,"
However, Myeong who was obviously startled, immediately raised his arms, prepared for any combat if needed, however his arms felt heavy and rather sore so after a while he was forced to lower his arms slightly.
Although he was fairly tall for his age, the bed he was resting on was much larger than him, making him feel small in comparison.
Myeong was feeling a lot of emotions at once, and it wasn't long before he started feeling dizzy but on top of that Myeong felt very cold. His entire body felt heavy and he felt like he was unable to move in the slightest, he was as stiff as a statue. Something was different..
The man that stood in front of him walked closer towards him.
"He's awake!" He yelled.
"DON'T COME CLOSER!" Myeong yelled.
"Calm down soldier," The man replied sarcastically, he chuckled for a few seconds and decided it was probably best to move back.
Myeong observed the man further, his arms were bulky and it was quite obvious that his physique was much better than Myeong's. The man had silver eyes, that glistened in the shadows of the other end of the room. Although there wasn't too much light, there was a window on the right hand side of the room, that allowed little light.
After an intense stare-off between Myeong and the man, Myeong noticed a blue textbox that appeared above the man, it was strange to say the least, but it was extremely blurry making it illegible and overall hard to make out.
"I think we got off on the wrong foot. You must be very startled..."
He was soft in his tone but Myeong wasn't very comforted.
"Can you move?" The man asked, he seemed respectful in his tone despite being able to crush Myeong if he needed to.
After numerous attempts to move his legs, Myeong managed to carefully get out of the bed and began walking around the room.
He glanced out of the window and worked out that he was on one of the top floors of a very large skyscraper, but that didn't bother him as he wasn't afraid of heights. The only thing that lingered in his mind was how he even managed to get up here, as he recalled almost nothing.
"Where am I?"
"My master brought you here, you could say that this is his... residence."
"Why is it so cold?"
"Oh right.. sorry, I placed an Ice-type healing spell on you. It should wear off quite soon."
"A healing spell?"
"Yes, I'm a healer." The man paused. "Why? Is something wrong?"
"N-N-No, It's alright. Umm, thank you." Myeong's pondered in thought for a few seconds. "If he's a healer... I wonder how strong the fighters are."
"No need to thank me, I was only doing what I was instructed to do." He answered slightly coldly, but Myeong didn't pay any attention to it.
Within the same moment, the door opened. Ryu Kwan emerged from it and stared at Myeong and smiled. Myeong saw another blue textbox around Kwan but this time it was even worse:
Myeong was unable to make out any details, however his presence was crushing and he could feel his dominance that controlled the room. Without a doubt, he was much much stronger than the healer.
"Dong-Min, what are you doing. You must have scared the child.
He began to chuckle.
"Sorry Sir.."
Dong-Min bowed to him. However, Kwan frowned.
"There's no need for that.. After all you did stay by him for a few days."
Kwan turned towards Myeong. Dong-Min left the room and closed the doors.
"What's your name child?"
"My.. Name's Myeong.."
"Something's wrong."
Myeong was taken aback by the comment, Kwan gently walked towards him... Myeong was startled to say the least, he tried to move back but in the end he realised that it may not be the best idea to closet himself off from the man who saved his life.
[Skill : Appraisal has been used]
For the first time, Myeong saw a blue textbox in front of him in the direction of Kwan stating that he had used the skill.
"Am I the only one who can see this?"
As if Kwan read his mind, he responded immediately.
"No.. I am assuming you are confused by the blue text everywhere right?"
"Yes..."
"I took the time to give you the analysis contact lenses whilst you were unconscious, it allows you to view the strength and other stats of other people. They are pretty expensive so I can see why you might not have one."
"If they are really expensive, how do you want me to repay you?" Myeong spoke, slightly nervously.
Kwan immediately bellowed in laughter.
"I took interest in you, that is all. You don't have to pay me anything."
Kwan lowered his head slightly before looking back at Myeong.
"Do you remember anything before you became unconscious?"
Myeong thought as hard as he could but he could not recall a single memory, even the events of the day before seemed slightly unclear.
"No....?"
"I see, I was slightly hoping my appraisal skill was wrong for once."
"You stared directly at a green moon, luckily you didn't have any physical damage or mutations. However, you have lost most if not all of your memories. Still, I must still ask you, do you have any parents or guardians who may be worried about you?"
"I don't have any parents..."
Kwan was slightly shocked. Myeong was pretty strong for a child of his age yet he didn't come from a strong family or faction, if he was given the time he may be able to grow to become very powerful.
"You've been in the same room for days, would you like to come outside?"
