Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: Intruder (1)

Myeong ran as fast as he could back to the elevator as he reached the top floor. As soon as he arrived he noticed Kwan who seemed troubled. Even though he was out of breath, Myeong attempted to utter the few words that came out.

"There.. There's an intruder."

"I see, I figured something was off."

"Two, Dae-Hyuns'."

Myeong finally catching his breath stood tall with his back against the wall.

"The intruder looked exactly like Dae-Hyun. However, Dae-Hyun hadn't moved from his room."

"I see... You should accompany Dae-Hyun to the training room, I'll try to navigate the intruder and take care of them and I'll assign Hong Youngsoo to watch who enters and leaves the building."

Kwan looked around the corridor to make sure no one was eavesdropping. "A whole building lockdown will alarm the intruder and ultimately cause too much panic, so we need to work quietly."

Kwan extended his arm to firmly grip Myeong's shoulder. "Remember to stay safe, and never leave that room."

Myeong nodded and followed his path back to outside Dae-Hyun's room, he was met by the man himself and after an explanation of what Kwan told him, he immediately acknowledged his decision and followed Myeong to the training room.

Myeong closed the training room door and it sealed up rather nicely, he sat on the floor looking at the ceiling. He had no idea how long it would take and therefore he was frankly getting a little bored.

Dae-Hyun clearly had similar emotions and decided it might be better to strike up a conversation to waste some time. "So, Myeong. Seen as we have some time to waste, wanna start a lesson?"

"Might as well."

"How much do you know about elemental manipulators?"

"Not much,"

"Theoretically, every person should be able to utilize at least one element. It really depends on your affinity with certain elements. People who have completely mastered their element and have a very developed affinity are known as elementalists which is only obtained if you are the strongest in your element, not many people have achieved this feat other than Kwan."

"What about the other elementalists?"

"They're part of different kingdoms, and quite frankly, I don't know too much about them."

"Are they on par with Kwan?"

Dae-Hyun shook his head. "Probably not, he can freely summon a tsunami of fire if he chose to or encase a mountain in fire, it's pretty cool."

"Speaking of which it's pretty hot here." Dae-Hyun added.

Dae-Hyun took off his shirt.

Myeong immediately felt something was off and was immediately alarmed, although he tried his best to hide it.

"His tattoo is gone?" Myeong thought to himself.

"I never got a chance to thank you for the purple longsword you gave me earlier."

"Oh, it's no problem."

"But it was a blue broadsword..." Myeong whispered underneath his breath.

"Do you have your sword on you?" Dae-Hyun said clearly unaware of Myeong's animosity.

"Yeah,"

Dae-Hyun drew a sword out of his own.

"When you strike with your sword, you should be using your entire weight." Dae-Hyun said whilst slashing the air skilfully. He looked over at Myeong, "Now you try,"

Myeong stood beside Dae-Hyun and withdrew his blue broadsword from his inventory. Using his entire weight and incredible speed, he stabbed the fake Dae-Hyun through the chest.

Blood dripped through to the ground. However, Myeong did not stop.

Myeong sprinted at an incredible pace behind the fake Dae-Hyun and swung directly at his back, causing huge waves of air to gush around the training grounds. After the smoke had slightly cleared, Myeong was shocked to see that the fake Dae-Hyun had immediately blocked his attack.

"Who are you?"

"I go by Agma,"

Agma laughed hysterically before grinning pitifully towards Myeong.

"I don't usually kill children, what a shame."

"I knew you were fake, you seem awfully weak compared to Dae-Hyun."

"Oh my mistake, I was concealing my power, will this suit your taste more?"

Dae-Hyun's face was concealed by a skeleton-like mask that covered his face. The mask had horns on either side.

Agma's presence trembled fear inside of Myeong, his power was much more overwhelming than he could have imagined and he froze in the second. The ground underneath him trembled as Agma walked towards him before stopping around 100 meters in front of Myeong and staring him in the eyes.

Agma jerked forward, causing multiple cracks on the ground. He pulled out a hammer he had hidden and at an incredibly fast pace he was heading towards Myeong.

[Agma has activated the skill: Tributarial Smash]

Myeong's eyes were dead locked onto him, at the very last second he dodged. However, it wasn't the end of the attack as 3 huge violent waves appeared, 1 on the left, one where Myeong was standing and the other on the right shortly after Agma smashed his hammer into the ground.

Myeong attempted to outrun the wave but it was futile as he was easily swept away and Agma leaped high once again, towards Myeong, to cover the distance, but instead landed just in front of Myeong instead.

Agma smiled deviously.

"I could end you easily, but I'd rather watch your helplessness as you suffer!"

"You B****rd!!"

Agma struck Myeong with the hammer, but Myeong managed to parry it, and landed a hit in the same location where he had originally, quite cheaply, struck Agma.

There was no doubt the pain Agma felt was apparent, as more blood dripped on the ground. Yet, Agma laughed it off like it was nothing.

Agma used his elemental affinity, water, to summon a wave within the battle arena that swept Myeong away, followed by multiple other waves.

Myeong laid in the tides, it was rough and the water was gradually becoming more violent and causing Myeong more and more pain. However, Myeong closed his and tried to find what little inner resolve he had, but mainly thinking of a way out.

Despite his thinking, no options came into mind.

[Agma has activated the skill: Sword Arts]

Multiple water daggers struck Myeong, every few seconds. Whenever, they ran out, more would appear, continuously staggering Myeong.

Myeong's eyes closed, his vision slightly faded as well as the rest of his senses. After a few moments, Myeong almost felt at ease. "Is this what it feels like to be dead?" He thought to himself.

Until... Myeong was awoken by the whimpers and screams of Agma.

"How- How are you doing that?!?" Agma yelled in fear.

Myeong opened his eyes to see that he was floating far above the waves under a gust of air. For the first time in the whole fight, Myeong felt a sense of hope.
