"WHAT DID YOU DO?!"
"I don't know stop yelling at me." Olen's voice pours from the smoke, whinny and irritable.
"WELL, SHE CAN'T JUST DISAPPEAR OLEN!!" Running my hands through my mangled hair, the smoke the smoke that suppose to be my husband sways slightly. I can already tell that he's internally freaking out by this point. One last piece that's all we needed and now he's being forced back to the void with no explanation besides his boss being impatient.
"So, what are we going to do? Luck be on my side right now that this is what's left? One more good pull and I'm back to the void."
"Well. With what I'm thinking has happened… I think Olive has taken your place right about now…"
"Olives done what now?"
Both of us turn to the Chief who is limping towards us, eyes not losing that sharp stab to them as he stops beside me.
"Where is my niece? What in the heavens did you two do?!"
"It was more me then anything sir… I'm sorry…" Olen's voice is fading as the smoke slowly begins to die down into the messy concrete. "I- I'll see…" His voice starts to cut out and before I could do anything he was gone. Leaving the Chief and I standing in the bustling winds of the storm. Feeling an arm grab my shoulder, I'm turned to face the Chief who with fire in his eyes starts yelling.
"AND NOW WHAT THE HELL DO WE DO?! WHAT IN THE HELL JUST HAPPENED TO HIM?!"
I could barely get the words to fall from my lips before being pulled towards the closest store, the large window in red cursive smashed to pieces as we slip inside. Heading straight to the back to get out of any fly debris, He sits me down.
"What are we going to do?" He asks once more, calming down only a bit as he finds a chair, taking a seat he waits for me.
"I… I don't know. We got to trust what happens next won't have us dead."
