'Not again… Jack please not again there has been so much death now. How are we going to go home?'
Rubbing my eyes, a hand lands on my back causing me to jump slightly. Looking over the short girl has her hand hovering a bit in the air as she steps back.
"Sorry." She apologizes taking another step back. Shaking my head, I take her hand into mine.
"Are you really Olive? My Olive?" Slowly she nods, a smile coming onto her face as I lift my hand to her face. "How did you grow up so fast on us?"
"It's been a few years ma… even Uncle Henderson has become a grouchy old man."
A smile splits my face as I shake my head, pulling my hand away I can feel the heat of tears trace my cheeks. Wiping them away a chuckle slips passed my lips.
"Still a stubborn fool I'm guessing?" She nods, "I miss them…" Falls from my lips before they could be stopped. Feeling arms wrap around me, I pulled my daughter close. The shock from earlier dying down as I lay my hand on the back of her head holding her in place.
'I still can not believe this is her… she was so little back then. How long has it truly been?'
