With a quick swing of her arm Elinor shouts out.
"Come on out!" A twinkle of pride dancing across her features as a tall man, steps over, overcoat covering most of his body as he waves. "This idiot got himself stuck. Take him with ya will you?"
"Hey sweetheart…" Gasping Linus throws himself around the vehicle to get to the man. Pulling the man by the front of his collar he yelps in surprise.
"Don't you ever scare me like that again you idiot!" He yells, pulling the man into a hug. "You are one lucky demon... But how?"
"A lot of convincing and a decent deal for a new body."
"So, wait what's the other deal?" Linus let Olen go to give Elinor the once over before she smiles.
"Promise us those souls you killed are put to rest… we all were pulled into this sick game in one way or the other and these people deserve a proper rest." Jack walks over with a familiar leatherbound pouch, holding it out Linus takes it.
Opening the pouch, small marble-like gems sit within a Mitch match of light and dark colors.
"As long as you help them, and no more murdering you two won't hear a peep out of any of us." Linus looks to Olen who nods a smile hitting his features.
"Thank you… may our next visit be a bit more at ease."
"And no more chess games." Olive glares her father down who raises his hands up in surrender.
"Hey, I had a good reason!"
"And what would that be?" Henderson juts in taking Jack by the shoulders roughly.
"It was to protect them… I didn't think a game of chess would be so hard. Been a good ten years since I last played. But hey what do I know. Just wasted thirteen years in a darkened void waiting to go home so."
"Lets just be happy its over with. We are all safe." Anna pulls Jack away from Henderson's grip making him cross his arms a half assed glare on his face.
Elinor throws Linus and Olen the keys to her truck as she stretches and turns towards the house.
"Y'all be safe out there!" She yells over her shoulder as they clamber inside. "I'm going to bed."
"I second that!" Marie yells pulling Olive inside.
And with the sun above the tree line, life seemed to turn back to normal or well as normal as a life could be when you get your family back.
Added the once two murderous additions things had turned out right.
That's all we could hope for.
