Focusing only on the colourless ball for a few days he noticed that everytime he moved it outside his body he would feel weak and a little light headed. but if he waited a few hours it would be back and slightly bigger than it previously was, after 3 days the ball that was the size of his fingernail had increased to the size of a basketball and stopped growing so he tried again he spun it at the highest speed he could it shrunk down to the size of his fingernail but he kept spinning untill is finally stopped shrinking at the size of a grain of rice.
Unsure what this meant he just continued draining it out of his body waiting a few hours and doing it again, what he noticed was when pushing it out his body the smaller it was the faster he expelled it but he could feel that it was a stronger force being expelled then when he drains the larger energy and when ever it stopped growing he would shrink it again. After his month of training alone was done he made sure to shrink the core to its smallest being a rice grain size and went so see the mayor.
"So boy did you manage to find your mana at all over this month?" Damon looked a little depressed while answering, "I'm sorry master I couldn't replicate the feeling you showed me and I couldn't find a energy ball in me that was red and green cold and warm. All I could find was a strange colourless light, I don't know what it is but everytime I send it out my body it comes back after a few hours and recently it all comes back faster" he had a tear running down his face as he finished speaking, Rufus on the other hand had a big grin on his face for a while now. "You bloody numbnut thats your mana core, you have no affinity so of course it will have no colour what made you think you needed colour and why could you not be able to replicate the feeling" Damon looked at him and replied "well you said replicate what you did inside me on the first day and that was the tingling sensation was it not?, then when you drained my mana it felt hot like fire behind a crimson glow and a green glow that felt like a winter breeze".
Rufus stood there stunned, "dear Gaia, I fucked up. I'm sorry Damon I didn't realise you could feel and see the presence of elements in the mana thats why you were confused and why you couldn't replicate it because of me you wasted your last month when you could have been working on your mana." Damon laughed "but master like i said I kept pushing the colourless light, or my mana out of my body everytime it came back and it got bigger and replenished a little faster every time so I think I was doing the training without realising".
Rufus walked up to Damon and did the normal thing to check his mana level he held the device and let it flick through the numbers untill it stopped on.. "pffffff, what the hell is this reading is this shitty device broken or somthing. Your child body should not be able to have its mana core increase in size untill around 10 untill then the highest your mana should reach is 30 before it will increase again, how many times did you say you drained your mana boy" Rufus couldn't help but raise his voice.
"Umm I'm not sure in the first week it was maybe 4-5 times a day then for 6 days I've been able to do it maybe 48 times a day I think and over the last 2days I don't know I lost count sorry". Damon was shaking while he replied, "boy don't you lie to me, a child your age shouldn't be able to hold anywhere near this amount of mana so how could you do it 48 times a day. To test if your lying deplete your mana and let me know when it's replenished and I will measure it again".
Damon nodded and went to empty the energy ball be pushed it through his body and out his left hand as he was doing this small ripples formed above his hand almost like heat was distorting the view but Rufus could tell it was pure mana Damon nodded after a second had passed indicating his mana was empty. But he continued meditating and Rufus was unsure why untill he felt all the mana in the area rush towards Damon at high speeds and 10 minutes later Damon said he was ready for the test again.
"What the fuck was that how did you deplete your mana so fast and how can you already absorbe mana from your surroundings and so fast." Damon smiled and answered "well I thought that maybe if I can't find my mana I should be able to do somthing with this ever growing energy in me so I discovered 2days ago after trying that if I have no energy in me I can absorb the energy from the world around me and its everywhere there are some energy of strange colours but the colourless energy is almost 80% of all the energy around us so it's easy to absorb it. And the depleating it fast is because of how small my energy ball is when its small i can use it all as slow or as fast as I want but when its big it only moves slow".
"Big, small? Slow, fast what you're talking nonsense child". "No master mayor, after a few times of deleating and restoring my energy it gets too big and won't get bigger at first it was as big as a baseball now it gets to the same size as my body before it stops growing, but when that happens I just focus and make it spin really fast and it will after a while become the size of a rice grain".
Rufus stood there stunned and thought to himself 'this child he learned the mana compression technique at such a young age and by himself but to think he also learned to absorb mana from the surrounding by himself also, I was gonna teach him both those things in a few years but now I don't really see the point hes already better at both those things than me'. "Anyway boy don't get cocky you are only good for your age your mana capacity is still nothing compared to me and definitely nothing compared to this kingdoms top mages is that clear".
Damon nodded his head with a smile before asking, "anyway so what's your mana capacity and what's mine. Oooo and what about the mages of the kingdom?" Damon was almost jumping up and down whole waiting for the answer.
