I was on a beach, I smelled the ocean, and there was a girl next to me. I am not sure who she was but I seemed to get along with her. We walked along the shoreline reminiscing about things. She was really a beautiful sight to behold, her smile seemed so blissful and her eyes shimmered in the sunlight, she also wore a big sun hat with a matching sundress. It felt as if we were walking for hours and that this beach had no ending.
I was content with this however because I was enjoying my time there so much. I was truly happy for the first time in a long while. Eventually we came to a stop, we decided to order two ice creams because it was such a nice day out. I started to wonder why no one else was outside but just shrugged it off. We sat down at a table covered with an umbrella and continued to talk about things.
I wished it would stay like this forever, me and her talking for all of eternity, I truly wanted that. "All good things must come to an end," she told me, keeping on her wonderful smile.
"You must be reading my thoughts." I said to her aloud, playfully.
"Just intuition," she replied, giggling.
For some reason after that our conversation just stopped, dead in its tracks. We just sat there staring at each other for a while. Suddenly a strong gust of wind came and blew off the sun hat she had been wearing. It let out her silverish white long silky hair, I was truly in awe of it. Suddenly I noticed that hair looked familiar, as if it belonged to someone I knew in a not so distant world.
I tried to ask who she was but she cut me off and said "how about we walk a bit more, we are almost at the end of the beach."
Which I replied, "Sure."
So that was just what we did, we walked for what felt like another thirty minutes and finally got to the end of the beach. It ended right where what seemed like a forest began. I suddenly felt a strong sense of sadness come over me. I wanted to ball my eyes out right there for some reason but I held it in. I looked at the girl and saw her staring out towards the ocean, she looked back at me and smiled.
I smiled back and then she started to speak, she said two words "Goodbye, Satou."
With this I fell to the ground and realised who that girl was and what all of this really was. I cried, tears just kept pouring out of my eyes, and when I looked pack up, she vanished, Eve had vanished. Everything faded to black there was nothing. I had the feeling of being completely alone in the world, like I was the last person on Earth. Then I bolted upwards out of bed, awakening from my dream.
I was drenched in sweat. It was morning and even though I normally don't get up for another hour I decided to take a shower. This dream was really nothing new to me but every time I have it, it still brings me pain in many ways. I am unsure whether I find it to be a happy or sad dream, but I knew, it sadly was just a dream. A dream that had no true beginning or ending, a dream which I wished was reality.
Every time I have this dream, I forget what it was about, until I almost have completely forgotten it even happened, and then I have it again. I don't know how it is possible but somehow it just happens. It is not as if I particularly wish to forget about it, I just do. I have been to many people but they seem to have no idea. I always try to write it down when I have it but there's no particular pattern. I could have it the next day or it could take months to have it again.
It is not as though I forget that I had the dream, it is just simply that I can never remember what it was about. This started occurring about when I started going to middle school and has been happening ever since, so I have simply learned to just live with it and try to ignore it. Once I got out of the shower it was the regular time I would wake up so I made breakfast. I made an egg but accidentally burned it because I wasn't paying attention. I didn't want to eat it so I decided to just stop by a nearby convenience store on my way to school. I got dressed, grabbed my bag, and left.
I stopped by the convenient store and browsed around for a bit. I suddenly noticed a girl walk in that was wearing our school uniform. She was a second year student. I had never seen her before which was weird because this convenient store would be out of the way for people who don't live by it. I decided to just ignore her and grabbed a pre-made lunch and decided to skip breakfast.
The girl was ahead of me in line and suddenly seemed to freak out when she checked her wallet. She then jumped off the line and stared and walked to put it back, but then stared at it. I felt sorry for her for some reason so I walked over and said, "Hey, if you want I can get that for you."
She jumped back and looked flustered when I did and then replied, "No, I couldn't make you do that but thank you for offering." She put down the sandwich she was holding and walked out looking sad, so I bought it for her anyway. I looked around and saw her walking down the road and called out "Hey, wait up!" She stopped and I ran up to where she was.
"Umm, do you want something?" She replied quietly.
"Yeah, I seem to have accidentally bought this sandwich," I said, handing it to her.
"I can't acce-." She tried to reply but I cut her off.
"I gotta run." I said and handed it to her, then I sprinted away.
