Humanity had always needed saving, grappling to keep it in check by further tearing it apart; the top of the chain drains all that's it's to offer.

It was a perfect day, not the sunny kind and perfect for jogging but the one that you get a good laugh accompanied with tummy aches not that it was not sunny and the air was coated in different kinds of odours, flowers blossom and we all looked like messy hot food. Well the laugh was all thanks to my amazing friend, Cristine. While busy trying out a dangerous routine in cheerleading that might lead to breaking the cervical vertebrae, she dropped Sam to the floor; their head cheerleader. The little crowd that was watching the practice first gasped, before rushing to help her up checking if she was ok. Cristine flashed me a wink and stealing her lips together forcing back a laugher.
I don't do sports but love watching my best friend rock it since fifth grade, she does much with such a small physique.
After school we decided to keep at it and reward ourselves more with a movie
"Oh! that was awesome" Christine said while we were watching Avengers specifically civil war. It was the heated scene with sprinting in air in fighting within the gang. I really admired the love, trust and friendship between Bucky and captain America. I was so into him, he was my dream bae.
"Uhmm" I answered stuffing my mouth with popcorn. I was so melting inside that movie and I couldn't help it daydream about it. I also joined them in their war to save the world someday, kicking ass, cool weapons or super power. I so want to help do that for real.
We continued watching up until the end. I slid in Thor right after and she jumped over the cliff for it, I mean she was all over it. Christine was all blabbing about Thor and his muscles. I thought she didn't like this kind of a movie, I couldn't believe it was her first time watching all this. Me on the other hand was watching for.... hmm let's see the 12th time, don't judge I was so into them.
"Wow that was intense but awesome" she said looking at me with a smile and then drowning back into the bean bag with a sigh.
"I knew you'd love it, you should give something a chance before you decided on not liking it" I said setting down the bowl of popcorn in my lap. I was so thirsty, I had more popcorn than ever in one sitting without a drink.
"Yeah, now-" she paused a little bringing a teen romance movies out of her backpack laying on the floor.
"Let's watch this!" she squeak happily and her brown eyes sparking.
"Nah, that's not me" I said getting out of the bean bag I was sitting in. I hunkered down to pick up the bowl of almost finished popcorn when I felt a pain in my lower back, that was new. It must be from all the sitting. I straightened up to find Christine staring at me.
"Oh please!" I said rolling my eyes.
"I think you should really use your advice here" she said disappointed
"I did give it a try, remember!" I said picking up my jacket off the floor cause mom would flip when she sees it there.
"It was just once, and to be honest the movie was bad" she was really trying hard to talk me into watching that movie.
"It was your favorite movie!" I said before walking to my closet and hanging my jacket in it's place.
"Gia.." she whined like a spoiled brat that she was. "You really need to give other genre of movies a chance other than superheroes and stuff" she said walking up to me and turning me around to face her. I let out a sigh and smiled a bit
"The world needs all the saving it can get with people like Thanos roaming the universe and don't you think we've had enough fun in one day" I said cupping her cheeks, she snored hard and rolled her eyes before throwing herself into my bed face up.
"It's just a movie" she whined again like I didn't notice that but there are real villains out there roaming the night streets scaring the shit out of innocent people. Kidnapping, stabbing and gunning down pedestrians like us. Just a little while earlier we've heard the news of a girl's body found, mutilated. More over I was getting a little tired we did a lot today.
"Ok, another time. It's getting pretty late now and you need to finish that math assignment" I said pulling her up to her feet. She snorted again because she hate math's, she stinks at it. I got her back pack off the floor and hand it to her.
"Ok but I like the copy thing better, I miss it" she said pouting, lazily throwing it over her shoulder. I used to let her copy and pass it but not since last year. I have been tutoring her to help getting her grades up, it's kind of helping a bit.
"No! You got to give it a try" I said pushing her out my door and down the hall. She groaned and walked down the stairs dragging her legs, it made me laugh. She opened the front door and walked out while I stood at the threshold watching her walk down our front yard.
"Not all X equals 5" I yelled my voice tearing through the yard.
"Yeah? Cape doesn't make a superhero" She yelled back without looking before turning on her left. We were just two houses away so she had no problem walking there at this time. It was already past 7, she had been at my house since after school. The skies was dark and the night was cool. I stood there letting the cold air hit my face and bare thighs, breathing away my pain. It has always been like this, pain after pain, not to mention I had never been the kind to fit perfectly in a crowd or socialize which made me stick to just one person; Cristine. I had always wanted to stay away from eyes because they somehow feels judgmental
"Guess I will be spending the night alone, again" i sighed after reading the message
I won't make it home tonight honey, i'm sorry can't say no to my supervisor. I'm all backed up.
