Chapter 10 - Mum and Daughter Time (Past) 9...

Temi's gaze was so fixated on her Dad, she didn't make a sound.

So her Dad slowly opened an eye to peep at her.

But when he saw that she was still staring at him, he quickly shut his eye.

Temi's Dad, Mr. Roger Samuel Smith, was a huge man, chocolate in complexion, had full hair which he had styled to his wife's desire...

Temi loved it too!

It was a round cut with a parting by the side; left side. His punk was high, the sides carved and elegant.

Temi's Father, Mr. Smith, was a 180cm tall man.

He had dark brown eyes, a well-chiseled face, perfect mustache, sturdy body which he maintained through exercising very early in the morning, around 6 am. His body wasn't as feeble...

As he snored, Temi came back to her senses, she was staring at someone else's husband...

She snapped her eyes to look at her Dad who opened his eyes to look at her when she noticed someone looking at her.

Playfully eyeing her Dad, Temi playfully twisted her mouth as she said;

"Well done, Dad, just say you don't want to tell me a story again!"

"How do you know if I'm sleeping or not!" Her father said.

Temi laughed.

"You just spoke, so...it's obvious!" Temi said.

Mr. Roger laughed as he shook his head as sat up straight.

Smiling, he looked deep in thought, Temi thought he wouldn't say anything more, but something had her still sitting.

But then, as she didn't expect, her Father opened his mouth and said;

"Your Mother...!" He began as he paused and looked down, a smile on his face.

Seeing the smile, Temi smiled too.

She was when her parents were happy and loved the smile her Father had as it showed his sparkling white teeth.

She hoped her husband in the future would have the same smile, if not better, as her Dad.

She loved a clean man, someone that didn't have the smell of alcohol or gutter on them...he should be clean.

But of course, as she grew up, her desires changed, but that particular one remained, but in a different way.

"Your Mother, you should appreciate her!" Her father said.

Temi nodded.

"Of course, Daddy, I do...!" Temi said.

Her father nodded.

"I know Temi, but, sometimes, appreciation, should be visible, your appreciation should be visible!" Her father said as he cut her short.

Temi fell quiet as she crossed her legs up in front of her.

Her Dad was silent as he looked down.

"You know Temi, your Mother was, and still is, beauty pageant, in my own eyes...!" He said as he placed some stress on the last part to show his point.

Temi smirked as she raised an eyebrow at her Father.

"Hm, what do you mean by that Dad...?"

"What I mean is, your Mother, in her days, was the Miss World, thrice...!"

"Thrice?" Temi asked as his eyes grew wide.

Her father nodded.

"Yes, thrice...!"

"Whoa...!" Temi wasn't shocked, she was shocked.

Frowning, he placed her legs down as she adjusted herself and focused fully on her Dad.

"Now here's some history I am not aware of...!" Temi said as she placed her chin on her fist, which was on her crossed legs.

Her father looked at her with his right eyebrow raised.

"What do you want to know?" He asked.

"What do you mean, what do I want to know?" Temi said as she waved the question off asking her Father her question in reply.

"There's a huge mystery behind the both of you and I am going crack it whether you like it or not!"

Temi said with determination as she pointed at both her Father sitting in front of her and her mother, who was outside.

The face she made was so funny, it had her Father roaring with laughter.

"I'm not joking, I'm being serious right now...!" Temi said, annoyed that her Father would laugh at something as important as this.

"I know darling, it's just...!"

"I remember...!" A voice snapped Temi out of her trance.

Jolting a little as her mind had not been in the reality that she was, Temi almost fell backward.

But being as swift as the cheetah, her Dad's right hand was quick to hold her back and lean her forward, preventing her from falling off.

"Are you okay...?"

"What were you thinking...?"

Her Father and Mother both asked at different times; Father first, Mother didn't wait.

Looking at both of her parents, it took her some seconds before she could process what she had been asked before slowly nodding her head.

"Why are you nodding? Are you okay? What were you thinking? Your mind had already gone far?"

Her mother asked as she reached out for her daughter.

The second question she asked had Temi nodding, and that was the only question she nodded to.

Moving to another couch with her husband following her, Temi's Mother sat down as she tightly held onto Temi, hugging her as if she were a baby.

"What's the wrong Temi? Did you think of something? That dream? Or what happened at school, whatever happened?" Her Mother just threw questions at her.

"Calm down, babe, you didn't even give me the chance to answer a single one of the previous questions you just asked...!" Her husband said, trying to calm his wife down.

His wife gave him a deadly stern look, he backed off a bit.

Slowly turning back to look at her daughter down in her arms, Temi's Mother took her time to ask;

"What's wrong, Temi? What did you see?"

Getting up from her Mother's tight embrace, Temi sat up as she looked at her parents as she smiled.

Both parents looked at each other.

Why was she smiling?

They both looked at each other as they both thought.

"I was just thinking of the time Daddy told me that you've been a beauty pageant and a three-time Miss World!" Temi said as she watched her parent's expressions. Her Mother's especially.

Her parents, especially her Dad, deeply sighed in relief as Temi covered her mouth and giggled.

"Your hearts had already flown, right?" Temi asked as she from her covered mouth, still giggling.

Her parents both looked at her, sternly.

Temi stopped giggling as she made a straight face.

Her parents both looking at each other, they nodded at themselves, and then they turned their attention back to their daughter as they both said;

"Do Not Ever, Try That Again!" And her parents, particularly her mother was serious about it.

After they had said it, they both laughed, causing Temi to laugh gently also.

They had both said it as if synced to or as if they had planned everything right before it had happened.

After they all laughed, they all hugged each other.

Then, releasing each other from the hug, her parents sighed, and then her mother turned to look at her husband, and them back at their daughter in hands.

Temi didn't see the look her mother gave her Father as her head and face was buried in the Mother's chest.

But suddenly, she heard her father speak.

"Temi, what is it you wanted to say?"

Her eyes that had been closed, now opened when she heard her Father.

Slowly getting up, she slowly got off of her Mother's laps on which she sat, and slowly, she made her way to a sofa, opposite but close to where her parents sat.

Looking at both of them, she smiled a bit. Then looking down, she played with her fingers a bit, before saying;

"Dad, I believe, you remember what we're talking about earlier...about the dream?" She asked as she raised her head to look at her Father.

Her Mother swiftly turned her head to look at her husband who nodded and said;

"Yeah...!"

And then, he grabbed her hand and interlocked their fingers, causing her to look up at him as she smiled.

Slowly, his eyes trialed down to look at her rosy lips, and then gently he planted a light kiss in them.

Temi smiled, she loved seeing these scenes, and it was rare for the rear to see such.

When they were done, they looked at each other curtly, before they both turned their attention to their daughter who was watching them with a smile on her face.

"What about it?" Her Father asked.

Once he asked that question, the smile on Temi's face dissipated as she said;

"It happened..." Her voice was almost in a whisper.

"It came to pass!" She said, her voice choked.

His parents looked at each other.

"What's came to pass?" Her Mother asked.

"That part where I told you that they thought that I stole my teacher's iPhone...!" Temi said.

"It became reality..!"

"I was called to the head teacher's office today!"

Her parents were shocked.

They both looked at each other.

"And then what happened?" Her Father asked.
