Chapter 15 - Mum and Daughter Time 14...

"Hahaha!!!!" Temi bursted laughing alongside her Mother.

"What's so funny...?" Her Mother asked.

"Haha! Momma, you still remember that?" Temi asked as she raised her hand to her mouth to cover her mouth.

Her Mother looked at her as she gave her a look as she asked;

"What do you mean, whether I remember that? Of course I remember that!" Her Mother said.

"Dope Mum, dope...!" Temi said.

As she turned her attention to her clothes, she said;

"Dope!"

After sometime, she couldn't do anything. Although, her hands were on her things, but her eyes stared straight while her consciousness was somewhere else, making her look like she was in deep thought.

"What's wrong?" Her Mother asked as she noticed her daughter's silence.

She could sense the sadness in her daughter.

Temi looked at her Mother as she let out a heavy breath as she turned away from her Mother and shook her head as she said in a low tone;

"Nah I...!" She sighed.

"I just can't believe you still remember that, after all these years, I...!" She paused as she sighed.

Turning to look at her Mother who raised her hand to her daughter's face as she caressed it, with the tears rolling down her daughter's face.

"I just can't imagine that you would remember that after all these years, I mean...!" Temi laughed as the tears rolled down her face, shaking her head as her Mother laughed with her too.

"Haha...!" Her Mother laughed.

"I just can't imagine, how old were you then, like, yeah, how old were you then?" Temi asked.

Her Mother stopped laughing as she slowly turned her head to look at her daughter, who, seeing the look in her Mother's facial expression, quickly covered her shiny teeth as she closed her mouth.

"Why do you wanna know my age back then...?" Temi's Mother asked as she pouted.

Temi paused as she looked at her Mother helpless as she dropped her hand that was up mid-air.

Squeezing her face in a funny manner, Temi said;

"What?"

"Mum!"

"Tems!" Temi's Mother called back.

Temi sighed as she lowered her head and laughed.

Her Mother laughed also, then looking at her daughter, she raised her hand and reached out for her daughter's hair as she played with her hair.

Smiling as she played with her daughter's hair, she observed her daughter's hair.

Temi was deep in thought as her Mother played with her, unaware that her Mother was watching her.

Her Mother's smile increased as she reached out her hand and took her daughter's hand into hers, making Temi startled a bit as she turned her eyes to look at her Mother.

Seeing her Mother's smiling face, she quickly used her hands to clean her eyes.

"What's wrong, Mum?" Temi asked.

Her Mother only smiled as she looked at her daughter.

She knew exactly what she was thinking.

As she smiled, she looked into her daughter's eyes, causing Temi to look away.

Temi's Mother could see the anger and sadness inside of her...

She could see that she wasn't happy with the outcome of things...

She knew that her parents knew that she could not, and would not be able to do that to her parents, even in a thousand years...

Even till Jesus comes.

And God knew it...

So why would he permit that dream to be seen?

Who didn't he just stop it from being seen and just reverse the plans of the devil, even?

Why did he have to show them?

Temi's Mother knew that her daughter was blaming God right now and raining insults, in the form of questions in her head right now, so this thought alone caused Temi's Mother to speak up.

"Temi, stop thinking what you're thinking...!" Temi's Mother said.

"What do you think I'm thinking 'bout?" Temi asked as she turned her her head to look at her Mother with red eyes.

Temi's Mother could see that her daughter's eyes were crimson and her voice, shaky.

Her voice was filled with anger.

Her voice had Temi's Mother's heart tear up as she hated seeing her daughter cry.

Raising her hand up to get daughter's cheeks, she wiped both sides as she said;

"Temi, the dream could mean someone else, not you...it doesn't necessarily have to be you!"

"But it portrayed me, it brought out my face, it was 'my' face, no one's else's!" Temi said, her voice a bit high-pitched, bit she wasn't yelling.

"Yeah, I know, but...!"

"It was my face that reflected in the picture...!"

"My face...!"

"Why my face? Why does it have to be me? It could have been someone else, anyone else, No! it 'is' someone else, it's someone else...!" Temi said as she strongly rejected the statement that she had previously made.

"And since it's someone else, why does it now have to show face in it?" Temi couldn't help but ask.

"Why does it have to...?" Temi couldn't finish what she wanted to say as she burst out crying.

"Why?" She couldn't help but ask as she buried get face in her hands and wept.

Temi's Mother looked at her with tears in her eyes.

Raising her hand up to her daughter's face, she said;

"Temi, you should remember who you are...you are the child of a Prophet, a Reverend, you should watch your tongue...!"

"Mind your words, watch what comes out of your mouth, if not you could offend the Holy Spirit...!"

As Temi opened her mouth to respond, her Mother cut her short by hitting her shoulder really hard, Temi flinched as her face squeezed.

"Mum!" Temi screeched.

"It's better, toy just keep those words within you...or, better still, don't even have any thoughts concerning that subject, do you hear me?" Temi's Mother said.

"You could have thoughts concerning other things, but not about stuffs that involves the Holy Spirit!"

"The Holy Spirit might as well pardon you due to your awareness of ignorance, but since you know the Holy Spirit really well, I don't expect this from you...!" Temi's Mother said.

"It might as well come out from the mouth of your friends, like Ethan and Olivia, or anybody else, but not from you. Besides, have you two even been communicating recently? Like, do you two still talk to each other...?" Temi's Mother asked at the end.

Temi looked at her Mother, with her face still in a frown as she held onto her shoulder.

Her Mother looked at her daughter's hand on her shoulder and then back at her daughter as Temi asked;

"Which friend? Which one of them?"

"Ethan...!"

Temi looked away as she kept her hand on her shoulder, massaging it, nodding in the process.

"Yeah, we're good, we still talk...we communicate!"

When she said that, she turned to look at her Mother, who, stared at her with her eyes narrowed.

Frowning as she leaned back a bit, looking at her Mother up down, thinking maybe she wasn't alright, Temi asked;

"Ma, why you narrowing your eyes down at me?"

"Who you talkin' to?" Temi's Mother asked.

Temi looked behind her as if there might be someone else that her Mother might be talking to, before turning back to look at her Mother, wide-eyed and, pointing at herself, she asked;

"Ma...where...where you talking to me? Was that question, directed at, me?"

Her Mother made a face as she playfully eyed her daughter as she said;

"Nah, I'm talkin' to the ghost behind you!" Her Mother said.

And as she was talking, Temi played clumsy as she turned and looked behind her maybe she could find the ghost that her Mother was talking about.

"What kind of a question is that anyway?" Her Mother asked, her voice in a slightly high pitch.

"And you're still looking behind you, are you okay?" Her Mother asked as she laughed and pushed her daughter causing the both of them to laugh as Temi fell over in the bed as she laughed.

When she sat back up, Temi liked at her Mother with a slightly sad smile on her face.

Her Mother looking at her, caused her to lower her head down and look at the stuffs in front of her.

Her Mother could see it.

Raising her hand to her daughter's chin, she lifted her daughter's face up.

Looking into the eyes of her daughter, Temi's Mother looked at both eyes, her own eyes darting from on yee to the other, before opening her mouth, to say something, but pausing fro a bit, she looked down, and then looking up at her daughter, she finally said;

"God loves you, Temi, I want you to know that...!" Temi's Mother said.

"I know Mum, it's just...!"

"And as the daughter of a Prophet...!" Temi's Mother cut her short.

"You should know that as much as I do...!"

"And I do Mum, I do...it's just...!"

Temi sighed as she looked away with tears in her eyes.

"It's just...I don't know how to say it...!" Temi said.

Her Mother smiled as she held her daughter's chin turned her head to look at her.

With a smile on her Mother's face, Temi's Mother said;

"I know dear, how it feels sometimes...and I know that you're not the one that I saw in my dream..." Then Temi's Mother paused for a moment as she continued.

"But as I said earlier, the Lord might be showing this to prevent something, a mistake that would cost you everything and all these...!" Temi's Mother said as she waved around her room to prove a point to Temi.

"Making you start all over again, suffering and toiling and...!"

Temi's Mother paused as she sighed.

And then turning back to her daughter, Temi's Mother said;

"And I'm not just referring to your room, Temi...!" Temi looked into her eyes.

"I'm referring to all the accomplishments and achievements your Father and I have made." Temi looked away.

Raising her hand to turn her daughter's head to look at her, Temi's Mother said;

"But I know your brothers and yourself are full of God's Spirit and Anointing and power, and...!" Her Mother paused as she sighed and looked down.

Temi watched her Mother.

Her Mother's eyes began to water.l, rasing her head up, she looked into the eyes of her daughter and said;

"Strength!" Temi slightly furrowed her brows.

"Strength?" She asked.

"God has blessed all four of you, now it's just your turn to find out what it is !" Her Mother said.

"You don't know what you're made off, Temi...you don't know what you have, what you entail!" Her Mother said.

"What you have in you, what four of us in this house would be able to achieve in some few years, if you put your heart and mind to it and then, snap!"  Temi's Mother said as she snapped her fingers.

"You would be able to achieve in months, if not a month!" Get Mother said.

Temi looked at her Mother with an eyebrow raised, questioning her Mother.

"Really?" Temi asked.

Her Mother nodded.

"Yeah, it's true!" Her Mother said.

Temi looked away from her Mother.

"And those achievements..." Temi's Mother said, causing Temi to turn and look at her.

"I and your Father would see!"

"Everything you would achieve, all your hard work that would cause you to succeed, whether academically, all areas, we would all live to celebrate yours and your brothers' success!" Her Mother blessed.

This had Temi tear up as she put down he clothes and hugged her Mother.

With tears in her eyes and a choked voice, Temi said;

"Thanks Mum, that meant a lot!"

After sometime of Mother and daughter time, they finally let go of each other as they looked into each other's eyes for a while before Temi's Mother said;

"C'mon hurry, your Father and I would drive you down to the airport and...!"

"No need, I could just take one of the drivers!" Temi cut in.

Her Mother paused.

"One of the chauffeurs?" Her Mother asked, unsettled.

Temi nodded.

"Yeah, instead of stressing you guys, I cold just, you know, take the chauffeur...!"

Her Mother shook her head as if disapproving it.

"I don't want something...!"

"Don't worry Mum!" Temi cut in.

"Nothing's bad gonna happen, besides...!"

"I've got God watching and protecting me, so...!"

"And I've also got the skills, A YA!" Temi said as she got up and almost hit her Mother.

"Oops, sorry Mum!"

"Be Careful!" Her Mother screeched.

"Don't worry Mum, you worry too much!"

"That's the attribute of a woman, a Mother specifically, to worry for her cubs...!"

"Don't worry Momma, you've got lions and a lioness in the house that'll protect both you and Dad, so you fit have to worry!" Temi said as she shrugged at the last part.

What she said had her Mother well up in tears as she began to shed tears.

Getting down onto the bed, Temi sat beside her Mother as she took her in her hands and hugged her.

They remained like that for a minute, before Temi's Mother slowly released herself from the hug and looked at her daughter as she said;

"You had better get ready, you still have some few hours left before the plane takes off, so you have to be there early...!"

"Don't worry Mum!"

Temi cut in.

"I'll be ready!"

Temi's Mother that had wanted to stay something now closed her mouth as she looked at her daughter.

She was really proud to have been blessed with a daughter like this.

And also proud to be the Mother of this blessed soul.

What had she done to God to deserve this?

She couldn't help but wonder.

Slowly nodding her head, she got up satisfied, giving he daughter a satisfied smile, she turned and with her elegant style of walking gay hadn't changed, Temi's Mother left the room.

As she walked out, Temi couldn't help but wonder how her Mother, yet of age, would still have the strength and agility that she had when she was still in her youth.

Anyone that sees her would not believe she is up to forty, she was incredibly young!

Sometimes, she would come home talking of how men, both young and old, younger than her, and older than her, some even her age, would ask her out.

When she told them that she was already married with four children; three boys and one girl, they were all shooked.

Temi laughed at that thought, but then suddenly, she remembered something, and that had her turn sober.
