Chapter 1 - Baby Cologne

Way back in 2008

It was past school hours, and the campus was practically abandoned. The only light source was the lamppost, but it's far away from the bleachers, which he was lurking at. He had been waiting for over twenty minutes and it's pissing him off, he should be in the secret hangout right now.

The bar that they're hanging out was called The Secret Hangout. Members of the club must be influential or have connections, but Timothy didn't need to use his parent's name, he is who he is.

He took his phone and called on his guys.

"Where the fuck are you?" His eighteen-year-old self ran out of patience.

His parents put on braces to correct his uneven teeth. He was not used to it yet, that's why he sounded like he's eating a muffin every time he talks.

"We thuh wuck awe?" His friends mimic how he talked, and Timothy heard a roar of laughter in the background.

"Bring your fucking ass over here, right now, before all my cool is gone!" Then he turned off his phone.

A few minutes had passed, and he was ready to leave, but the people he was waiting for appeared.

"Hey! Tim, we have a surprise for you." Trumpet shouted, he's one of the gorillas.

Calvin, his best friend, came with the monkeys. This man is a little nastier than he is. His friend never considered these kids his companions but minions.

"U-hum, so what do we have here?" He stepped up to the bleachers to where Timothy was and sat beside him.

If anyone read Harry Potter, he described his character similar Lucius Malfoy, Draco Malfoy's father. Calvin can be snobbish and elitist sometimes.

They all lit their phone torches, so it's brighter now. With them were two girls who looked worn and he knew they're only here, so they can have a free pass to the hangout.

But the other one looked lost. She's wearing an oversized school uniform that made her look chubbier.

"What the fuck is this?"

He was not really fond of cursing, truth to be told, but it's the only language these morons can understand.

"Well, they volunteered to see you two, so we gladly brought them."

Trumpet seemed to be the collective mouth of the lot.

"Correction, I only need to see Timothy Gordon."

The chubby girl with eyeglasses spoke directly. So bold and careless.

Timothy's eyebrow raised. This little brat got some guts. He went down the bleachers and meet her. Her tiny height didn't represent her courage.

Amused by her behavior, at the closer look, she looked younger, probably sixteen, and her body screams baby fat.

"So, what do I owe this pleasant meeting?" He leaned closer and whispered it to her ears. It's an attempt to intimidate her.

She smelled of a baby cologne, sweet and inviting.

Hell no! He liked mature, sensual, and beautiful women, not an underage geek. He shook his head and stepped back. What was he thinking? Regretting what he did.

"You don't owe me personally, but the teacher assigned you as my advanced chemistry partner, so you owe me my term papers that are due tomorrow." She sounded business-like, but her voice was cute.

Everyone burst out laughing. Timothy tried his best not to pinch her face and control his reactions towards this kitten. She was way too adorable to be seen by these monsters around him.

Yes! That must be it, his protective instincts. Not someone that will make his thing stand.

"You know what?" They heard Calvin speak while stepping down from the bleachers.

"I say, you join us at the party tonight, and Tim will help you with the homework after." He placed his right arm over the kitty's fluffy shoulders.

Right, because he and Calvin are the only free pass to the Hangout among these idiots.

"It's not homework, it's partnership work and is supposedly a class activity, but he's not always present."

From the looks of it, she didn't know that Calvin was trying to hit on her.

Timothy did not react to what Calvin was doing. But in his mind, he was yelling, she's mine! how dare you? and mentally screamed at her not to come.

"What' your name?" Calvin had the audacity to play with her right now on Timothy's watch.

"Amie." She enunciated the letter A and the word me.

"U-hum. So Amie, have you been to a party before?" Calvin continued to stir her attention.

"Yes," Amelia answered while nodding her head vigorously.

Well, Timothy didn't expect that. He stared at her from head to toe. Did she really attend parties?

"My family always had a party, but I take part a little because it only means gossip and Asian food overdose." She answered innocently.

Right, her appearance was obviously Asian. Her long black hair was up to her waist and some fringes that covered her face.

"A food overdose?" Ask Trumpet tried to hold his laugh and everyone did loudly.

"What are you, twelve?" The slutty girl number one let out a mocking grin.

"I'm fifteen in a few weeks." She answered straightforwardly, not annoyed nor embarrassed. She is who she is. Timothy had a feeling that she didn't get why they're laughing.

Hmm, admirable. Pleased with what she displayed right now. The powerful attitude she just exuded impressed Timothy so much that he wanted to take her away and cover her from them.

"Enough." Timothy took Calvin's hands from Amie's shoulders. Took her hands and dragged her away.

"You all go ahead, I'll bring her home." His grip on her wrist slightly hard.

"Oh, Tim you softy. Alright! We'll meet you there." Calvin yelled while Timothy was pulling Amie away from the crowd.

"No, you don't need to bring me home, I have my ride." She pointed to the cute pink bicycle she placed on the corner of the school's entrance behind the pillar.

"No, leave it there, it's late." He said, taking her to his sports car.

"No, you don't understand, my mom will accuse me of losing it if it's not there in the morning."

He tried to stop her by holding the seat of the bike. But she stared at him fiercely. That was the cutest thing he has ever seen in his life. He let go of the bike, walked closer, and claimed her lips.

The faded scent of the baby cologne registered on his senses and his control has totally shattered in.

"Amie, remember this, you are mine."

Under the lam-post, behind the pillars, Amie remembered her first kiss and his words.
