Chapter 9 - AEROPLANE FIGHT

The airport was filled with people going in and out dragging heavy bags and suitcases. Gia, Ronnie and Sean sat at the side waiting for their plane. It was easy to tell how tense they were based on the vary little expressions they made especially the two men who looked like they would shit their pants at any moment.

The boarding of their plane was finally called and before boarding their documents had to be checked. Gia had won a Hijab, white t shirt and black pants. The Hijab covered her face and only a pair of eyes could be seen. Sean and Ronnie on the other hand had masks that hid their real faces; these were the ones Max had made.

The person who verified the passports was a woman probably in her early thirties. She smiled sweetly when Sean handed her the booklet. For some reason, Max had made a mask that looked even more handsome. Looking around, it was not only the female attendant but several other women around kept looking at his direction and he really liked it because every time he caught a lady staring, he would flash a big smile toward their direction.

Ronnie did not take this too well, grumbling under his breath every now and then with an obviously displeased face. The two passed very smoothly but when it was Gia's turn, the lady looked up a few more times to ensure that she was the one, after all only a pair of eyes was visible.

A loud alarm sound then rang in the middle of the checking. Gia's heart dropped a few degrees and the other two men had sweat on their backs from all the tension. The checking woman then left while holding Gia's passport on her hand.

A few minutes later she came back, handed the passport back and spoke in a very soft tone, "Sorry for the delay, thank you for choosing us as your traveling partner and have a safe trip ahead" She then gave Gia a thousand megawatt smile. Gia returned the smile and headed in with the boys.

Most of the passengers had already boarded and some were putting their belongings on the top drawers. Most of them looked Asian but there were more Koreans. The three found their seats, settled in and got ready for takeoff.

Ronnie started sleeping as soon as the plane was on air while the other two talked for a while before drifting off. Halfway, Gia felt an urgent need to pee so she got down and made way to the toilets.

On the way, two passengers caught her eye. They were both wearing black hats covering their faces. One of them looked up brazenly sending a small smile toward her direction. She stared at the Mans face carefully and noticed a huge scar on his left cheek. She had removed her hijab a long time ago and if this men were who she thought they were then she was in big trouble.

Her pace did not change at all as she made way further towards the toilets. Shedid her business and got ready to go out but stopped when she heard footsteps. They were heavy, not at all lady like yet this was the female lavatory side. Her ears perked up and registered two male voices. They were talking in hushed tones. A realization hit her, they were here for her.

She opened the door slowly, careful not to startle her opponents. Her feet lightly touched the ground as she studied her surroundings. These two men were the ones she had seen previously. They were standing facing front and had guns on their hands. Their guns had silencers. It was a wonder how the weapons were not detected at the airport.

The man with the scar turned and his face changed immediately after seeing Gia standing behind them. His hand raised the gun ready to fire but she was faster, kicking his hand which made the gun fly away. The other man also raised his gun but Gia punched his gut. He grunted in pain. She retorted to fighting with the scar faced man, now that he did not have a gun his blows were more ruthless.

She fought hard, dodging and turning, kicking and punching. Sweat had already formed on her brow. The other man woke up and joined in the fight. While she was fighting, she had to defend herself from the perfect fighting skills of the scar face while preventing being shot by the other man.

The fight went on for a couple more minutes before Gia picked up a different sound, they were more footsteps. Her heart almost stopped for the second time today. If it was one of the passengers, they would probably die if ever they chance upon this scene but it scared her more when she saw the face of the least person she was expecting to be there, Sean.

He had probably thought something had happened to her so came over to check. The other man realized that someone had arrived and pointed the gun at his direction. Gia moved faster to hold the man's wrists but the next thing Sean did shook her to the core.

Sean, who she had thought was a scared little cat was now holding the man's wrist in a deathly grip. She was a fighter too so she knew how much pressure the man was feeling on his hand at that moment. Sean threw a punch right at his temple making him fall down. This punch was especially strong and strong and held a bit of weight. The man became unconscious in a couple of seconds.

Scar face on the other hand still insisted on fighting to the very end. Now that his opponents had increased to two, his attacks became more brutal but after all he was only one man, the two defeated him and he too lost consciousness. Gia sat down, chest heaving up and down, she was now sweating profusely and had a couple of bruises on her face and hands.

Sean stared at her silently before taking out a white face towel and handed it to her. He could sense that she had questions to ask but didn't. It was either she was not a nosy person or she feared that he would lie. From the few days he had spent with her, he knew just how much she valued being told the truth.

Seeing her like this made his heart ache a little. Every time she was the one to fight, to protect yet he and Ronnie just watched at the side, adding to her burden. This was why he fought, showing off some of his colors.

But then Gia's curiosity still surpassed her fears and asked, "What's with your fighting skills?"
