Sean almost answered but before he did, Ronnie came in, fast on his footsteps. When he saw the mess on the floor he almost shouted but Gia covered his mouth before he did. Two unconscious bodies lay on the floor. The three stood solemnly and as if their minds were connected, they stuffed the bodies inside the toilet and closed the door. The guns too were put on their bodies so that whoever found them would alert the police when they landed.
Ronnie had questions but Gia was too tired to answer them dismissing him with a single, "Do not ask me any questions" She stared at Sean before going back to her seat. Probably because she was too tired, she fell asleep as soon as her head hit the headrest. There were truly many confusing things about Sean that troubled her head. If he was this skilled, why did he deliberately let the other men beat him the first time they met?
Sean and Ronnie both went back to their seats too. The former had wanted to talk to Gia but her eyes were closed and breathe even, probably asleep so he sat down on his own. The plane landed the next morning and the passengers started rushing out.
The morning air in South Korea was extremely fresh. There was a little cold but the sun would be up soon so there was nothing to worry about. The streets were extremely busy. The three made their way to the taxi stand. Sean walked first approaching a taxi driver probably asking if he could take them to their hotel.
Ronnie and Sean were extremely dumbfounded, Sean had spoken perfect Korean!
Sean was obviously Asian but he did not look Korean at all. After a few words, they entered and moved towards the hotel. Gia looked outside the window, several cars passed with a whoosh. She wanted this time in her life to pass just like the cars. Something caught her attention, it was a billboard at the side of the road but what was different was that it had the face of Sean printed on it.
The billboard was big and the Sean in the picture was holding something that looked like a bottle of makeup. It was as if he was advertising the product. Gia turned and looked at the Sean in the car who now had his eyes closed. She had thought of every possible occupation to kink him with but it never crossed her mind that he would be a famous person.
A person this famous that even the several girls who passed the billboards took pictures discreetly, how was it that his disappearance had not been made public? The day they met, someone was clearly after him. That was all the way in America. How did the people know where he was? To stage an attack like that on a famous person was extremely difficult, so it was either someone he worked with had revealed the places where he would go or that was all a coincidence.
The coincidence was highly unlikely. Sean had been with them for over a week and a half and no one had contacted him nor had he deliberately called someone. Topped with the fact that his team had not released a statement about him, the whole thing was a little suspicious.
The hotel they had booked was very clean and spacious too. This time round each of them got their own rooms. They went and freshened up before meeting down for breakfast. Gia sat alone first before the two men arrived. She stared her surroundings. A television was mounted at the other end of the lobby and news was currently being broadcasted. The news caster talked about how two men were found inside an airplane toilet with guns. The news continued for a while before the channel was changed and entertainment news came up and once again the face of Sean was shown.
Almost everyone in the lobby turned to listen. Gia had truly under estimated the level of fame Sean held. A picture from the airport was shown. The reporter was talking about how someone looking like Sean was seen at the airport and the likelihood of it being him was probably zero because he was in America attending some fashion show.
Gia watched with great interest. Sean was famous that his fans could recognize him by his back alone. Just as the news changed to another, the two men appeared. They had breakfast together while holding some light conversation. Sean still had on his mask to probably avoid being seen. After breakfast, they headed to Ronnie's room where they discussed some things about the gala and the strategies they would use to get in.
The people who were attending the gala were big shots. Their names had already been published and each had a tremendous amount of wealth. This meant that the security of the area was going to be top notch as well. Several CCTV cameras had probably already been installed and a highly certified security company hired.
If they wanted to get in, they had to use the entrance but the problem who was to attend received a personal invite which meant that there were no extra cards. The three pondered for several hours but there still was no solution. Gia ended up falling asleep on the bed while the two men held a conversation.
Ronnie had warmed up towards Sean already. After all they had been through all sorts of hell together the past couple of days and there still was more yet to come.
"Are you in love with her?" The direction Sean started with was extremely off. Inquiring about other people's personal life was not a very good way to start a conversation but Ronnie gave him some face anyway and answered.
"Yes I am, you've got a problem with that?" The tone was a little irritated and his eyes went downcast a little. It was as if these feelings, he was supposed to keep them all to himself. Perhaps he had already noticed that they were never going to be reciprocated. To be quite honest, a person like Sean would make a proper match it was just that Gia had never really shown any interest towards romance at all.
Sean chuckled a little for a while before asking another question, "Have you known each other for long?" Ronnie had never really talked to many people so his real thoughts were always bottled up and now that someone was genuinely interested in knowing a part of him, he was unbelievably chatty.
"We met while still in school. She saved me back then." He chuckled a little. Sean looked up in surprise, obviously interested. And his story teller did not disappoint, continuing with gist,
"I was a nerd back then and some students would bully me. One day they surrounded me at a corner after school. It was as if the verbal was not enough so they wanted to get to the physical but before they lay their hands on me, she appeared and fought with them… she was so cool"
He stopped at this but Sean easily joined the remaining dots. He looked at the big glasses Ronnie was wearing and wanted to say, Ronnie ah, you still look like a nerd but he held back the words.
The adolescent Gia was extremely rowdy and solved almost everything by hand. She was extremely fierce and after saving Ronnie, he followed her everywhere she went. Most of the time he would be sent away harshly but after some time, the two became good friends and Gia's attitude also improved a lot.
