Jay put his phone away with a twinge of sadness, James was busy, oh well he couldn't monopolize all his free time. But still best friends should get first claim always. Oh well, he'd see him at school tomorrow anyway. 1pm, hmm he hadn't had lunch yet he went to the kitchen and made a sandwich then sat on the couch reading a book for who knows how long.
Suddenly a knock sounded at his door. Hmm thought Jay, Kay would have just come right in, maybe James had somehow gotten free? Nah he knew where the spar key was he'd just let himself in. Jay got up from his cozy blanket and couch and opened the door.
"Hello" he said.
"Hello sir, I'm pleased to inform you that you have won an all expense paid trip to…."
Jay cut the man off "Not interested" he really had no interest; it wasn't like he could leave his little sister.
"Oh but sir," the man moved closer and all of a sudden a cloth was over Jay's nose and mouth. "You don't actually get a choice the man finished.
Jay struggled against him but as soon as the cloth was over his mouth another two men who had been hidden on the side of the house appeared to help hold him still. Jay tried to bite the hand over his mouth as he felt his eye lids flicker shut.
Never trust door to door sales people.
......
When Jay's eyes flickered open he couldn't see anything, but could feel the blind fold on him. His hands were tied in front of him and as if that wasn't enough his legs were also tied together.
Well if you're going to kidnap someone do it properly I guess, but pick someone besides me I've got nothing you can hold for ransom. Jay thought with irritation. Even if they tried to get a buck or two from Kay they wouldn't have much luck considering they were far from rich.
Jay pondered over his situation as the 'car' he assumed he was in bounced over some pot holes. Ouch, ouch, note to self don't get kidnapped and ride on the floor of a car, it hurts. Thought Jay with irritation.
Trying to use magic with your hands tied.... Not happening anytime soon. Jay tried instead to focus on the rope, maybe it was made of plant fibers. A rough brown outline. Hmm he could do this but it might take awhile, I do hope they don't have any immediate plans for me. Jay thought. He slowly felt the knot starting to come looser. Getting closer... closer.... Why did the car stop?
Jay heard a door open and rough hands grabbed and pulled him out. They could of at least untied my legs he thought annoyed. Instead his captors seemed content to just carry him to his destination.
Jay tried to think if he had ticked someone off recently but couldn't come up with anyone. No one he knew of wanted him dead or had a reason to kill him. If that was the case why him? He pondered the question while still messing with the rope. Ah the outline had formed completely he quickly unwrapped his hands and punched the person carrying him.
"Oof" someone said upon the impact and Jay dropped to the ground. He pulled off the blind fold and started to form his wind magic when his three captors all formed fireballs....well shoot.
They just had to be fire users. Give up and go with them? Or fight an get burned? Irritated Jay launched a wind assault and also sent the rope slithering like a snake toward them.
A ball of fire blocked his wind, a ball of fire burned up the rope, and for good measure a ball of fire hit him in the chest causing the wind knocked out of him and his shirt to mostly burn up. Fire users what a pain.
One of them used the blindfold to tie his hands behind his back this time. Then ignoring Jay's growls and remarks he tossed him over one shoulder and continued up the hill. It wasn't until they were half way up Jay realized it was a volcano.
What the heck did they want with him here! Jay immediately tried to struggle more and felt a hand on his leg get hot enough to burn.
"Shut your trap unless you want to lose a leg." A voice growled.
Jay shut his jaw but continued his rant inside his head. Stupid pig headed, fat, lazy, worthless, fire brained, kidnapper.
Jay unease grew as they went into a ledge on the edge of the inside of the volcano. For some reason they placed him near the edge. If you want to kill me so badly just toss me in already. Jay growled to himself.
Why were their eyes glazed over? Creepy it looked like some trance from a horror movie.
Jay tried to push himself up to have a better look around but a hand shoved him back against the black rocks. He winced slightly as his captor rubbed his face against the rock making part of his forehead bleed.
"Be a good little sacrifice and stay still." One said.
Sacrifice? Yeah no! Jay was a lot of things but no way was he going to add sacrifice to his list. Focusing on the wind around him he formed a tornado shaking all the rocks below him. If he was going to die it'd be at least 51% on his terms.
Let's see what they think about falling into a pit of lava with me. Thought Jay as he continued letting the tornado grow stronger and stronger. He had always been praised for the large amount of particles he could control, time to put that to some use.
Abruptly the whole place shook. Was that me? Thought Jay surprised, no it was stronger than his level. He turned around and his jaw dropped open as a huge fire snake covered in blue fire arose from the lava.
