Tell me, Mike
Esther changed into the clothes brought by the Head Chief.
"Umm…" Esther felt the hesitation in the chief's voice. She knew what he wanted to ask.
"Just ask away."
Esther said as she sat on her bed and connected the GPS of her wristwatch to the extra phone she had requested on the call to her chief.
She scrolled on her phone. She noticed that both of her friends were just next to her room.
"Master, where are the other two masters?"
"Someone kidnapped them last night and that person left me here since he knew I was hard to handle. Hence the kidnappers went for an easy target."
"Huh? What?"
The Head Chief got puzzled more and more.
Esther was having fun as she teased him.
"They are dangerous people. They had warned me that if I love my life then I should not try to find them. If I did then they would kill me."
Esther explained in a pitiful voice. She appeared to be scared.
"Master….I really can't understand a word?"
"Aiya..why are you stuck up? You should smile often. You look like a hundred years old man while in reality, you are only 50 and unmarried."
'Master, I beg you. Don't start this again.'
He cried out mentally since he couldn't retort to her. He did it in his mind.
"You also rejected the dates I had organised with so much hard work…"
"I had specially asked Ms Chloe to be your date for the previous year's GALA and I was sure. I will be hearing wedding bells soon but you just have to crush my hopes."
Esther continued to accuse him nonstop.
"Uncle Michael, if you have someone in your heart, just tell me, I promise to find her for you.
Wait…..I hope I am wrong however, I don't want to jump to conclusions so be honest as with me….. Is your crush already married and has her kids, hence you are heartbroken and have decided to not get married in this lifetime? Nonetheless, I will warn you now that if it is true then you are going to be punished."
Michael, the head chief of Esther, was close to crying after he heard her warnings. He wondered what he did to suffer this.
'Aaa...Master doesn't make me your target. I can't withstand it.'
He wailed out, he wanted to fight back against his master's allegations but how could he do that when those were nothing but only the truth.
After leaving the army, he still couldn't get over his strict rules and habits which made it almost impossible for him to get himself a girlfriend.
'Who will want to be with me? I am stiff and uptight. For me, rules are my limits. If someone tries to play with them, I can't hold myself back.
And the girl, Chloe, you are talking about had just done it.'
Michael remembers waiting for her at their date location while Chloee had to appear 5 minutes late.
He fathomed that she must not know about his obsession with punctuality. Otherwise, why would she come late for their first date before the GALA night? Hence he had blocked her number later when they had left from the party. He hoped his master, Esther would stop making his life less complicated. His family had been nagging him, he didn't want his master to jump on the train.
Then, the next day from the party, he told his master a lie. He thought Esther had believed it yet he skipped the fact.
His master was Esther, if she couldn't see through the lies how come she would have been this successful?
The business line was full of traps. Every corner had danger. In a world dominated by men, she won over them and created her empire. It didn't start easy, she had to work like an animal. Day and night differences did not stop her from working. She never took a holiday since the day she had started her company. Now her small company comes in the top 5 list in the World.
"Umm...Master..we should not live in the past. We must move on and focus on our present life. Past will only be a hindrance to our present and future opportunities."
"So, you mean to say that you will get married sooner. Then I will send you the list of capable ladies.
Let's go. I gotta meet two idiots."

"Argh..." Felix opened his eyes. He shut them immediately since they needed some time to adjust to the current lightning.
His eyes fluttered open, he squinted them then after getting comfortable, he surveyed his surroundings. He found an IV drip attached to his left hand. He noticed that he was inside a hospital room.
Felix struggled to recollect his previous night's memory as the last thing he remembers was messaging his friends then everything turned black.
He grabbed his head when he felt pain.
"Man, you want to kill yourself?"
A man walked into Felix's room, he adorned a white coat over his casual clothes.
"Isn't that obvious? Haven't you seen his reports? He had been working like there's no tomorrow. He didn't even sleep or take a rest." Another man strolled inside, he wore shades over his eyes. He looked like a model. He had a tall and toned body.
"I should not have even saved him. See he is already trying to pour water all over my hard work. Felix, I know you don't value your health and life but I do. So I will plead with you to not act recklessly. Stop pressuring your brain cells. Let them rest."
The man with a white overcoat and a stethoscope moved near Felix as he groaned in discomfort. He checked his heartbeats and other vitals.
Felix heeded the doctor's advice and took deep breaths. He avoided overthinking for now.
"What happened to me? Why can't I seem to recollect anything after messaging? Whenever I attempt to, a severe wave of headache strikes me. Tell me, Mike."
