Will you both keep it down
Behind that scary looking and electrifying gazes, Felix could discern concealed entertainment.
With his hawk-like eyes, Felix saw through his friend's poor theatre acting. Felix saw him subtly trying to suppress his laughter. This gave Felix a bad feeling. He felt ominous as if something awful was going to happen to him.
He strived to ignore it yet that image got stuck in his mind and he couldn't shake it off. His mind began to visualize multiple possible and also impossible scenarios since Louis from their childhood had been unpredictable and had loved to complain about them to their friends, certainly, in their friend circle, he was that gossipy person. He never missed a chance to sell his friends off to their parents.
And this time Felix hoped that he had not told his family about him fainting and getting another attack as he could see his not so bright future just before his eyes. His mother and grandma won't lose the chance to tell him 'how if' he was married then the whole outcome would have been different.
Felix was fed up with their marriage talk.
In the past, Felix would have told them the cons of getting married and having a wife. He clarified how it would restrict him. Felix loved to take decisions of his own life but after marriage, he had to consider his wife's too which made him feel sour. He liked his bachelor life where he had nothing to worry about. He didn't have to ponder over his actions. However, if he gets married then he would have to think infinite times before he does anything.
He had to share his room, house and on top of it, he has to live with her for his whole life. He had to share his life with her. Felix was a possessive man, he didn't like sharing then how come his parents were expecting him to share his entire life?
He wanted his freedom forever. He didn't want to be tied down.
Yet his thoughts changed after he met the girl who shook his heart. The girl that made him realise how lonely truthfully. She gave him those foreign feelings which he only observed when he saw his father taking care of his mother, his grandfather doing everything according to his grandmother's liking. He saw how both men treated their spouses like they were their world, they lived for them, they only worked for their happiness.
Now, Felix too wanted to experience those emotions. He also desired someone solely to belong to him in the same way as his life would be hers. He had finally found the girl he wished for. His search for his Ms Right had ended.
"Dude, you think those medications are having side effects?"
"Louis, I am his doctor and I know what things he is allergic to and those meds don't come into that list."
"Then, why is smiling like a creep? Tell me, have you ever seen him grin like that?"
"Of course, I never did. I believed he couldn't smile naturally since to us also he showed a genuine curve of his lips.
I thought I was dreaming when I saw a smile blooming on his face, reaching his eyes. He is looking phenomenal."
"Mike...Stay away from me."
"Huh? What are you saying?"
"What am I saying? Did you listen to yourself?"
"Louis, just say it directly, don't go around the bushes."
"Okay, if you want to hear it directly through me then listen, you sounded like a gay!! You seriously made me think that you are bending towards the same sex."
"Are you freaking kidding me? How can you even assume a thing like it?"
"Mike, I don't make assumptions. It's you who is giving off those signs. You should have seen how your eyes sparkled when you looked at Felix's smile. Mike, you just appeared as a lover of him."
"Aaaah….I can't believe we are doing this!!"
Mike, in exasperation, clapped his hands.
"You, my friend, need some medical help asap."
"The pot calling the kettle black."
"No no no… You are getting it wrong. Since there is neither a pot nor a kettle. It's you, Louis acting like an idiotic man."
"So now you're gonna make me the culprit?" This time it was Louis who applauded for Mike.
Mike scoffed, "Everyone knows you are the culprit every time. It is nothing new."
"Mike, don't cross the damn limits."
"And you Louis--"
"WILL YOU BOTH KEEP IT DOWN!!"
Felix yelled at his two bickering friends.
Felix was done with his friends, "Why can't you behave as per your age? Will it hurt if you both act a little more civilized? You know that I have seizures yet you both seemed to forget the fact at the same time. If you guys are itching to bicker and mock each other, be my guests and get the hell out of my room.
I don't have the patience to listen to your childish talks. And also don't show me irritating faces until tomorrow. Since I need to take a rest then leave me within peace."
Louis and Mike flinched at their friend's growls. They straightened their backs and put their whole concentration at Felix.
They didn't say a word until he finished. Still, they both stood in the same army position.
"What? You want me to help you both in seeing out?"
"Nooo"
"Nope."
"There you got your answer then I don't see any reasons for both jokers to be inside my room." Both of them irked to beat him but they didn't want their bodies to be beaten black and blue.

Meanwhile, Esther and Michael called out to a hotel servant, "Can you get me extra keys to this room?"
Michael asked him in his gruff and nasal tone.
The attendant trembled.
"I….I...don't….kn...know..."
Esther shook her head disappointedly. Esther wondered if Michael knew how overbearing and scary a human creature he was, she did not expect less than the worker acting around her head chief. She easily saw the fear in his eyes and the way his body was shaking, it was hard to ignore.
Even though it was not the fault of Michael alone when he had been brought up like that. He was taught to be devoid of emotions. It was an extremely difficult task every time he had to talk with strangers.
