Kang was woke up in a hospital, confused about how he had gotten there. The last thing he remembered was getting beaten to a pulp by the monster. Kang sat up in the hospital bed, he looked around the room and seen a very familiar face in a chair asleep. "Scarlett, you awake over there?" He asked, testing to see if she was really sleeping.
"Huh?" She shouted, jolting straight up in her chair. "Your finally awake, how are you feeling?" She asked, getting up from the chair and rushing over to his side. "Kinda sore, but that comes with the whole getting beat up thing." He replied sarcastically, trying to lighten the somber hospital mood.
"How long was I out?" Kang asked seriously, the playfulness in his voice had gone away.
"Just a few days not to long." Scarlett told him. "How did I get here then? The last thing I remember was getting pummelled by the High-class monster." He said, looking down feeling defeated. "I carried you here. Trust me it wasn't easy either, your heavier than you look." She said.
"Are the others okay at least?" Kang asked. "About that. Well, Melvin went missing and they can't find him." Scarlett said, telling him the worst news he could have gotten after waking up in the hospital. 'Melvin's missing and it's my fault.' Kang thought.
"Don't worry it's not your fault he told me to get you to safety. Also, Lydia said that she was gonna try to get an operation approved so she can and go look for him." Scarlett said, trying to get the sad look on Kang's face to go away. It seemed to help, because his frown was gone and he was now smiling at her.

Meanwhile in the meeting room at that same time the redhead was talking to Drake to get the operation approved. "No, and my answer is final. To much time has already been wasted on trying to find him." Drake's answer was firm.
"Why not? We should be looking for him he is a junior investigator of the MCG isn't he?!" Lydia shouted, slaming her hands on the table her anger getting the better of her.
"It's not about if he is a part of the MCG or not he has been missing for more than a day out in the forest. That alone is more than enough reason to assume the worst has happened." Drake replied, sitting calmly in his chair with his fingers interlocked.
"Fine then, if you won't let me gather a search party I'll just go by myself." She said, standing from her chair and storming out of the room. 'She will make an excellent leader one day.' Drake thought smiling as he sat in the silence.

"Hey, how'd it go with Drake? Is the operation a go?" Scarlett asked, looking at Lydia who had just entered the room. "No, he said to much time has passed and to much effort has been wasted on trying to find him already." Lydia replied, looking down at the floor.
"If that's the case then why not just go search for him on your own?" A voice from in the room said. "That's exactly what I was planning on doing." She said back. "Wait Kang! When did you wake up?" She yelled.
"Just a little while ago. Scarlett brought me up to speed on what happened while I was out. Since this whole mess is my fault I want to help." Kang said, getting up from the bed.
"Good then I'll go too your not back to full strength just yet, but you should probably put some real clothes on before we go." Scarlett said, gesturing to his hospital gown. Looking down Kang's face was suddenly as red as a tomato.
After getting his clothing issue sorted out the three went and checked Kang out of the medical ward. "Alright where to?" Lydia asked, looking at the other two.
"This way, we went out of the city gate over that way." Scarlett said, pointing towards the southern entrance of the gate. "Alright then, once we get there remember don't let them see us trying to get out of the city." Lydia said.
Hoping the other two remembered the plan. They hadn't had enough time to go over every detail so they were pretty much winging it. The trek to the southern gate was pretty uneventful as no one was really paying attention to the three new investigators.
"All right, so you two do remember the plan right?" Lydia asked. This was the third time on the trek over to the gate but she was trying to be thorough. "Yes now lets put your plan into action." Kang said, getting ready to activate his power.
The next moment a huge wall of ice had formed in the middle of the shopping district. "Now!" Kang shouted, looking at the other two. The next second a fire had erupted in the middle of the street on the other side as well.
The guards stationed at the south gate had rushed to deal with the situation leaving the control room unsupervised. The next second blue blur had flashed by them up to the controls and the gate had started opening. Once the guards had gotten the situation under control the gate had already been shut.
"Wow what a rush is it always like this?" Kang asked, looking at Lydia who had ran the other two through the open gate before closing it back. Scarlett on the other hand wasn't as enamored with Lydia's power she had actually started throwing up after she had been ran through the gate.
"Yeah it's pretty much always like that. Is she gonna be okay?" Lydia asked, pointing towards Scarlett who didn't look so good at the moment. "She'll be okay in a minute. We probably should have told you before but she gets extremely motion sick." Kang said.
After waiting for Scarlett to gather her bearings they followed her to the last place she had seen Melvin. "This is where we were when he said to go." She told them.
"Alright then we'll camp here after looking around the surrounding area for clues." Lydia said, making sure they were all on the same page. Looking around in an area with quite a few broken trees Lydia found a blood red sword.
"Hey is this important?" She yelled, waving the sword she had found in the air. "Yes that is extremely important I can't believe I forgot to tell the others about it." Scarlett face palmed. "What is it?" Kang asked, confused by Scarlett face palming.
"Its Melvin's he figured out how it worked after watching Drake use his." Scarlett said, while still pressing her hand to her forehead. "Well it's getting late, let's set up camp here for the night." Lydia said.
After the camp had been set up they had decided to take turns watching the surroundings and sleeping. A few hours after the sun had set Lydia had woken the other two and put the fire out.
"I heard voices out in the forest it sounds like their getting closer." She told them. They hid behind some trees and decided that Scarlett would distract them with a bolt of fire then they would attack.
"Wait Melvin?!" They all shouted. After the fire bolt went past they could see Melvin walking with someone so they decided to stop hiding. "Melvin is it really you?" Scarlett asked, walking up to him.
"What do you think your doing?" The other person said stepping between Lydia and Melvin. "I was going to hug my friend he's been missing for days now!" Lydia said, looking at the girl angrily.
