"Kore wake up." Gretchen shook me awake.
"Yeah I'm up." I yawned.
She had opened a curtain, blue light shone through. The window was facing the river of souls.
"I can't look at that, close the window please."
Gretchen nodded, and closed the window.
"I'm going to go to my quarters please get dressed."
I nodded. Gretchen left me alone in the room. I walked over to the dresser and opened it. These dresses are bizarre… Most of them are dark broody colors. I chose a navy blue dress that was make of silk and had sparkles adorned on the midriff. I pulled my hair half up half down, and out on some black flats.
I opened the big doors and wandered into the corridor. It was cold, I shivered and hugged myself.
"It's freezing in here." I muttered.
*woof woof*
I jerked around and saw Cerberus barking at me.
"Good d-dog." I whispered.
*woof* He padded up to me and planted a massive kiss on my face.
"Oh, you really are a good dog."
I scratched his neck and Cerberus rolled over.
"Good boy!" I exclaimed.
"You and Cerberus are getting a long wonderfully!" Hades said.
I turned around and stood up brushing off my dress, "He's a good dog." I replied bluntly.
"Yes he is. Anyways breakfast is ready, I know you like honey bread."
I huffed, following him into the dining hall. Which was massive and very grand. Gretchen was sitting at the table and smiled motioning for me to sit next to her. I pulled out the chair and took a seat. A maid placed a peice of bread on my plate, then served me a bowl of pomegranates.
"Thank you."
The maid nodded and walked off after serving Gretchen and Hades as well.
"So ladies, how are you enjoying your new rooms?" Hades asked.
"They are very nice thank you." Gretchen replied.
"And how are you liking it Persephone?"
I sighed, "Its fine."
"Well I'm glad it's just fine." He laughed.
I took a bite of the pomegranate and felt a strange tingling sensation in my head. I shook it off then began eating the honey bread.
"Do you like the pomegranates?" He smirked.
"Umm yes their good." I said cautiously.
"Anyways, I have many fun things planned for today. We are going to go for a walk in hell."
I tensed up, "I don't want to."
"It's not really your choice is it?"
I rolled my eyes, and continued eating my bread.
After finishing my meal, Gretchen left and Hades guided me to the front of the castle.
"Come, I shall show you the beauty of hell." Hades extended his hand. I tried to walk past him, and he grabbed my wrist.
"Tsk tsk little flower, it isn't all beauty. There are plenty of monsters far worse then me ready to eat you up."
I flinched, and he pulled me closer, "I won't let any of them hurt you."
He let me step away but remained holding my hand. We walked out and took a right.
"It's freezing!" I exclaimed.
"Yes, that will pass we are about to go into what will probably be your favorite area."
We continued walking until the ground became green and marshy. A large stone overhang led us into a big cave.
"This is the only vegetation that grows naturally in the under world."
"Wow it's gorgeous…."
Massive willow trees grew from the ground and a waterfall led into a flowing stream. Wild flowers sprouted everywhere.
"Yes it is. You can come here whenever you want, but never without me. You don't want to know the evil that lurks in the shadows." He warned.
"Ok…"
"Anyways we should head back…"
"Can we stay a bit longer I want to look around."
"Yes we can but only a little longer."
