I smiled surprisingly. Walking over to the stream. The coy fish in the pond reminded of the bubbling brooke from when I was a kid. There was a bridge going over the stream. I stood on the bridge peering into the clear water. Hades was leaning against a willow tree watching me. I was looking over the edge of the bridge a bit more. It felt a slippery from the constant water splashing. Suddenly my feet slipped out from under me and I fell into the stream.
"Ouch!" I groaned.
Hades was next to me in a second and he picked me up.
"Your bleeding are you alright?" He asked seeming actually concerned.
I put my hand on my forehead and felt that I had a deep cut that was bleeding into my eyes.
"Yeah I think I'm fine, you can put me down now." I muttered.
"No I don't think so." Hades stated.
He kept cradling me in his arms.
"Ughh." I tried to struggle out of his arms but felt a sharp pain in my ankle. "Ouchhhh!" I gasped.
"Look your just hurting yourself more. Stop struggling."
I groaned but stopped struggling. He rushed back to the castle and opened the front doors. He sat me down on the couch near the front door.
"I'm going to get gauze."
"Honestly I'm fine." I huffed.
He rolled his eyes and retrieved the gauze from the kitchen.
After wiping my forehead tenderly, he applied gauze to my forehead.
"I'm going to wrap your ankle now it's twisted."
He began wrapping my ankle with gauze.
I flinched "Oww."
"Sorry I have to wrap it." He replied with sympathy.
After he finished wrapping my wounds with gauze he carried me to my bed and set me on it.
"You should change and get some rest, I'll send Gretchen."
"Thank you." I whispered.
"Your welcome."
He left. Soon after Gretchen walked in worry plastered all of his face.
"I thought you were going for a walk? How did you manage to hurt yourself so badly?" She scolded.
"It's not that bad Gretch." I told her.
"Alright if you say so." She said looking sad.
"Why do you look so sad?"
"Because I will never get to see Joseph again…"
"Oh my goodness, I didn't even think about that I'm so sorry."
A single tear slid down her cheek.
"I'm going to draw a bath."
"Ok Gretchen."
