Jade and I were just sitting in the gym not able to sleep. Our thoughts were wondering about how we would survive. Jade seemed to be smiling about something
"Remember last time we were here?" she asked.
"Yep," I replied laying back down.
"I can't believe that asshole!" she grumbled.
I remember that day as I was sitting in the gym drawing random things. I normally did for new ideas, but stuck to the normal anime and cute things. But today felt different since Jade told me that Ethan cheated on her with her worst enemy. She was called the 'Bitch' to us for one reason. She bullied Jade for five years and then stopped out of nowhere. Jade knew it wasn't going to last since she was the one who told her what happened.
She wished that Ethan told her about it, but he held back from her. I was waiting for her to storm in and cussing a fit at him. Ethan was going to be dead at the end of the day. It was two weeks before prom and this was the last time she dated someone. All I could hear was "Sting, you son of a bitch" as she came in. I smiled and knew she was about to get her revenge.
Her long blue hair flow as she walked towards Ethan. Face scrunch with anger as she slapped her hand across his face. Screaming and yelling about how much she hated him for what he did. His face was filled with regrets and tried to fix his mistakes, but she wouldn't listen.
"But babe," he tried to speak.
"Don't babe me," Jade snapped, "I had to learn that you cheated on me with her. Knowing that I hated her!"
"She doesn't mean anything to me!" he tries to reason with her, but it only came with another slap on the cheek. I could only see Ace shaking his head in disapproving of Ethan's actions. But Jade was the one really hurt by this and I wasn't going to let her be alone. So I walked over and pulled her away from him before she would get the chance to kill him. It was a bad memory here, but now it was strange to be staying here for the next few weeks or months.
"It's strange to be here again..." I sighed and looked at Jade. Tears ran down her face, but I could sense a bit of angry inside. She was fighting a long battle with heartbreak and so far she was losing herself along with it. As she would sometimes break into tears during the day or even call him a dick. But something was always off with Ethan as he always wanted to talk to her. But she would send him off to my direction to deal with. At that point, he would call me names and bully the hell out of me, but I didn't understand. He used to treat me with kindness and now he acted like it was my fault. He wanted someone to blame for his own actions, I was a formidable subject of abuse.
"Lize?" Jade said as I snapped out of my thoughts.
"Yeah?" I questioned
"Did Ethan do anything to you?" she asked, "When I broke up with Ethan?"
"It's...fine..." I replied, "nothing happened.
"Tell me okay," she pushed.
"Mostly name-calling and sometimes being pushed around," I mumbled.
I remember those days of being called a useless nerd and pushed against the lockers. He was upset about Jade breaking up with him. Taking all of his pain on to me as words made their way up my mind. I couldn't forget the pain no matter way I could. It stayed as I felt blood trickle down my arm from every cut I did or thought of jumping off the building. The problems I faced as a kid and now worse as a teen. Jade was the only one who knew what happened to me and how I felt so alone.
Tears ran down my face as I cried in Jade's arms. She made me feel like I had family, she was like a sister to me. She made sure I was okay and that I didn't do anything I would regret. But that lasts only a little while before life pulled her away.
"It's okay...." she whispered in my ear, rocking me back and forth. Till we both finally had our eyes closed and asleep again.
