She was the one I ran into when I was returning from work. Her name is Meha. Such an angel by her looks. She seems like she own a set of aesthetic shoes from a never land. Who wouldn't fall for her! He fell for her too. In fact they were a couple. They work together. She followed me to his apartment next door and we had a small talk. She was kind and generous. Such a pretty girl for him. Somehow over a few weeks from then, I felt it too. I never saw him often after she came into his days. They were really into each other. Sometimes I felt jealous, insecure and I feared I'd never see him again like we used to before. But I was busy with my works as well. The amount of pressure on my shoulders from those tiring days is still unforgettable like I never wanted to take up that job. But the only thing that held me there was that city and my neighbor. She was all over my days at those times. I had never felt so uncomfortable around a girl like her. But we became very good friends by then despite the fact that she took my man. We met often for lunch and sometimes for a walk to his apartment. I got used to it by a few months.
On 13th of December, We had a company trip to the nearby tourist places to study about the architecture and style of living in the region. We started hiking to the stone hill palace located a few hundred meters above the city, away from the lights of the city of Tokyo. It was far more amusing and adventurous than what I thought. The day wasn't quite pleasant since the dust storm hit hard by noon and we were in the middle of hiking. Dust storms are rare in the region and we never had a report from any weather analysis. It was by noon that we had to stop hiking or else we were in death threats. But it was so unexpected that one of my colleague, Maya was stuck in the lane and we had to rush to get her some help. As we were hiking down the hill, the storm got vigorous and me along with one of my HR team member Erick, were caught by a deadly hurricane as was beaten to the ground between the stones. I don't remember the minutes after that since I was bleeding heavily with my left hand got terribly fractured and both my feet and head were numb and I couldn't feel anything for a week or so. I remember our team members carrying us to the ambulance and then to the city hospital and people coming and going in my hospital room. The only friend I had in that unknown city was just him. And as I walked out of that room after over two months of hospitalization, I was feeling the pain of being a nobody to him than the pain of my broken bones.
