I know for a fact a celestial body with rings can't be seen so close to Earth. The philosopher could only show me one through his telescope that one night. Earth has no ringed moons. Is this still my world, or did I die and move on to the next? I need to take a look around." Sargon began to look around for a path out of the cavern. When he was interrupted.
Sargon took a step and found himself seamlessly entering an endless white space. " Hello Sargon, that was some fall you took". A voice called out. " Who are you? Where are you, and I?" Sargon was vexed about the situation, but his knight training and experience gave him complete calmness in unexpected situations. " I am behind you, and we are in a small pocket dimension between realms I made so we could talk. " Sargon saw an old but built man with a long white hair and beard standing. " Who are you, sir?" The old man smiled, "I am essentially God, nice to meet you Sargon." Sargon was astonished by this revelation but regained his composure. " You wanted to talk with me God?"
"Indeed I did Sargon, an accident happened to you that wasn't supposed to happen. I had missed a dimensional rift and left it unmended by mistake. That rift was at the entrance of the cavern you fell into on Earth. Now listen carefully, you have not died, you have been transported to a different world and your body has been affected by the dimensional energies."
"Then what world am I in, and what do you mean by my body was affected?" Sargon listened attentively for God's answer.
"You are in a world called Drasil. A Jupiter-sized planet that has a special energy that allows for fantastical feats. Energy called prima, which can be used to produce magic, spirit power, and other more obscure uses that exist. Now, your body was affected, but it was affected in what can be seen as a positive way. Listen closely, your body was riddled with prima and was refined with it. This made the connection between your physical body and your astral body much stronger. Your lifespan has been increased by centuries because of this. Following so far?"
"Yes sir, I am following just fine, please continue."
"Alright, your race has changed from human being to Astral being now as a result. Don't worry though, you can still copulate with humans and other humanoid races as an astral, the universe isn't that cruel. As an astral, you can use astra, obscure energy made with prima and its associated uses. Becoming a full master with astra will make you immortal as your astral body and physical body will become one. I recommend focusing on astra rather than magic by the way. so, are you ready to go back again Sir Sargon?
