Following the road, Sargon walked until sunset. He then saw a village come into view. He gazed at the village intently as his gut warned him of something ahead. As he got closer, he saw the village gate busted open, fires and screams. He took off sprinting full speed and was appalled by the sight.
Small green ugly humanoid creatures with pointed ears were ravaging the village. The defenders were few and being swarmed and killed. Women were being violently raped and killed all around and children were being eaten alive. Sargon has seen many terrible things on the battlefields of Earth, but this scene before him was viler than all of them.
"You monstrous little fucks!!!". Sargon bellowed before charging in with a determined will to kill every single one of the green creatures with extreme prejudice.
In his fervor, astra was subconsciously used to speed him up even further. In his wrath, his sword was sheathed in astra as it cleaved and pierced bodies. With his shield and armor, weapons and arrows would bounce off. With his strength, he could not be slowed no matter how many creatures tried to grab onto him. With his masterful swordsmanship buffed with speed, no creature could even attempt to react to his attacks before being killed. Like an unstoppable machine, he massacred through the whole village until all were dead. When his work was done, night had fallen and the fires dimmed.
Sargon looked at the destruction caused. Houses were burned and destroyed. Men, women, children, and cattle all slaughtered. Survivors of being raped had a blank look on their face and others were crying. The defenders, men, and children left alive all wearing a forlorn expression. While looking, Sargon kept an eye out for a leader. He spotted a middle-aged man walking towards him.
"Hello Sir Knight, I am the watch captain for the village, Bennet. May I ask your name and as I can you don't wear any crest, if you are a Knight Errant?"
Sargon Lifted his visor to show his eyes and introduced himself, "I am Sargon....Jupiter, Knight Errant. May I ask how this happened, I can see from the shredded standard that you are all under a lord's protection yet you suffered such a heinous attack?"
Bennet furrowed his brows, "Our lord pays little mind to our village unless it is time for tax collection. Hence we were not able to detect the goblins nor fight off their attack with their large numbers. The lord is one that doesn't care too much for some poor village on the outskirts of his territory."
Sargon was appalled by their lord. A lord has a duty to protect their subjects and territory. To allow these, goblins to wreak havoc in their territory would bring them great dishonor in his way of thinking. Not caring if a swarm goblin bastards rape and kill your people is akin to running through the streets naked while yelling that you have no honor or pride as a lord. "Will you all be alright now that the attack is over?"
"Yes Sir Jupiter, enough of us live and many hid. We can rebuild and recover with time."
"Then Mr. Bennet, please let me stay the night in this village and point me in the direction of the town the lord resides. If you could a light meal, I would appreciate it too"
Bennet gave a light smile and said, "Of course Sir Jupiter, we would be happy to provide a roof and meal to our savior for the night"
Sargon nodded and proceeded to receive a roof and a meal. After eating he went to sleep thinking about the day. How this world could be filled with even more unforseen creatures like goblins. His battle wasn't fought for honor or glory. It was fought to quell his anger through his wrath at the sight before him. A knight defends the weak, so he did his duty. He was still greatly displeased with the local lord though. With these thoughts he drifted into sleep until sunrise.
