The house of orphans. Built from the former temple of Atar, Titan of family. It sat in it's own corner of the courtyard, separate from everything else.
As the emperor and Ebijac approached a boy who had been tending a small vegetable garden watched them with wide eyes. He quickly disappeared into the house of orphans.
The emperor knocked on the door. An elderly woman answered with a friendly smile.
"Greetings emperor, how may I assist you?"
The elderly woman bowed. In doing so she noticed Ebijac.
"This is Ty'Maign. He shall be joining you."
The elderly woman gave Ebijac a good look. Ebijac rolled his eyes. The elderly woman shot him a stern look.
"Hm. A little bit of an attitude. Hmph. Come in, come in. Hal'Sun is in his study."
The emperor entered the house of orphans and Ebijac reluctantly followed.
The emperor headed towards a door in the far corner of the grand room, and Ebijac went to follow. But the elderly woman grabbed him by the arm.
"Come Ty'Maign. Let me introduce you to rest of children. The men will only bore you with their paper work. I am Sava'Sun."
She pulled Ebijac to another room away from the entrance. This room is simply furnished and is a sitting area with a window letting light in from above. Two doors are adjacent to the one they had entered through. One white, and the other black.
"Children, come out."
There came a moment of nothing. Then the two doors opened. Two girls came out of the white door, and three boys came from the black door. Their ages all varied.
The boys and girls mixed together, ordering themselves in a line from shortest to tallest.
"Children, this is Ty'Maign. He will be joining us. Ty'Maign, these will be your roommates."
Ebijac was then introduced to them.
First in line is the boy that Ebijac had seen out in the garden. His delicate face still covered in dirt. His name is Irt'Vin, he is seven and sponsored by Rethna (Goddess who worships the environment.)
Next is a boy who is short enough to pass as a child, but his features held a maturity not acheived at that age. His name is Kin'Nis, he is fourteen and is not sponsored. However the mischievous gleam in his eyes indicated Jeju or Amalgo.
Thirdly is a girl who is a little taller than Kin'Nis however her features still held little maturity. Her name is Yhew'Rena, she is eleven and sponsored by Yitwa (Goddess who worships art.)
Fourthly is the second girl, who in truthfulness seemed too old to be in the house of orphans, seventeen or eighteen in looks. Her name is Beau'Trian and despite her appearance she is only fourteen. However it made sense when Ebijac found out her sponsor is Ustu (a God who worships love, lust and beauty.)
Finally is a boy with a charming and friendly face. His name is Zan'Iza, he is fifteen and sponsored by Iranik.
Ebijac had forgotten how young humans were when they first joined the Celestial Point System, usually around five when their bodies can withstand the adding of points.
Sava'sun turned to Ebijac with a smile, asking him to introduce himself.
Ebijac sighed.
"I am... Ty'Maign, I am twelve and am not sponsored. And if I am being honest I despise the CPS."
Everyone gasped and looked at him in bewilderment.
"Why don't you like the CPS?" Irt'Vin asked with innocence.
Ebijac rolled his eyes.
"That is a long story."
Sava'Sun patted Ebikac on the back hesitantly.
"Well then. Ty'Maign, do you mind telling it to the rest of the children while I go prepare lunch. Once you are done you may wash up and join us for a meal."
'Must I?' Ebijac thought to himself, but what came out is:"If you insist."
Sava'Sun left the room.
When Ebijac turned around everyone glared at him, except for Irt'Vin and Yhew'Rena who are excited for a 'story.'
"Dude, what the f*ck." Kin'Nis said.
"You're the one talking Kin'Nis, you don't even have a sponsor yourself." Beau'Trian said.
Kin'Nis smirked.
"It's not because I oppose the CPS, I just haven't found a suitable sponsor yet."
Zan'Iza stepped between Kin'Nis and Beau'Trian.
"Now, now. Let's just settle down. We have not heard Ty'Maign's reasoning yet. Why don't we hear that first before judging him."
"Fine."
Ebijac sat himself down in a chair and looked around the room in distaste. Although he concealed it as to not offend the mortals.
"Well then, let's get this over and done with I do not have much time to waste."
