Waking up with the worst headache he had ever had, he looked outside the window in his room and it was still pretty dark. Since he was practically part of the family, the guest room he used to sleep in when he visited had now become his permanent personal room. Glancing over at his alarm clock that he had set to wake him up at exactly 6:00a.m, it showed that it was three in the morning, groaning in pain as he put on his indoor slippers, he walked out his room and climbed down the stairs.
Heading to the kitchen to get some painkillers, he didn't expect to see a shadow seemingly going through the cupboards. Using his powers to turn on all the lights in the room, his earlier expression changed to a relaxed one when his eyes landed on the curly haired guy going through the cupboards.
"Why do I always find you in dark places?" Bing Wen asked as he walked to the medicine cabinet on the other side of the room. He then removed the aspirin packet and trailed to the fridge to get himself water.
"If you want to drink my blood, just come and drink it instead of looking at me like am some sort of enemy who you want to kill." Bing Wen said pouring water into a glass. He had noticed the vampire was glaring at him as if trying to kill him with his eyes and it was getting uncomfortable.
"Maybe...I should kill you." Yung Tang leisurely said as he finally found what he was looking for. A wine glass. He didn't really get a chance to drink after dinner cause Mr. and Mrs. Xiu bombarded him with questions and tried matching him with their daughter.
"Is this what you do?" Bing Wen started after he gulped the aspirin with a full glass of water. "Threaten people after midnight." he added facing the lad who was pouring red wine in his glass. Remembering the scene he was meant with when he came to the kitchen, he wondered how the lad was even able to see in the dark. His eyes then trailed up and down the lad and he couldn't help but stare. It's not like Yung Tang was putting on anything sexy since he was wearing baggy pajamas and his hair was held back in a messy bun with some of the locs falling on his face which made him look exceptionally cute in the warlock's eyes. If he didn't know the lad's gender, he would've thought he was a girl plus his silver black eyes added on his beauty.
"You're staring." Yung Tang simply said after noticing the warlock had been looking at him for quite awhile. "I didn't threaten you. I just stated what I was thinking. It's all that's been on my mind since you 'saved' me." he added stressing on the saved part.
"All I wanted to do was help. I'm sorry for helping an arrogant ungrateful vampire like you." Bing Wen said almost yelling. He didn't understand why the lad couldn't just thank him. How hard could it be to just say 'Thank you.'? 'Are all Chens like this? Ungrateful?' he mused.
"That's the problem! I didn't ask you to help me!!" Yung Tang yelled frustratedly. "Because of you I lost the only lead I had on finding my mother and you think you helped me?! Now I'm back to square one and I can't ask any of my step-siblings for help. Gang Zhi practically hates her, Quang Ho doesn't even know she's missing and Yung Jen will practically have a heart attack if I confirm her suspicions and now thanks to you I don't even know where to start." he added unknowingly revealing all his stress to the warlock. This past week had really taken a toll on him. He had been searching for his mother day and night for a week now and just when he was about to get some information about her, a certain warlock interrupted something that wasn't his business.
Yung Tang hadn't intentionally offended the werewolves but he knew they were from the same pack his Mom had been visiting quite recently so when he walked up to them to ask if they had seen his mom , they suddenly attacked him. He didn't mind the name calling and getting beaten up as long as he could still follow them later but because of Bing Wen he couldn't. When he went to look for them, they were already gone.
"I'm sorry, I didn't know. I thought I wa--" Bing Wen tried to explain but he was almost immediately cut off.
"No need to apologise. I know it's not your fault, I'm just angry and sleep deprived. I didn't mean to yell." Yung Tang apologized taking another sip of the bitter sweet drink.
"I'm sorry for what I did." the blonde apologized as well. Although to him it was still a pretty normal act to do when you find someone getting beaten up in a dark alley, he still apologized to the lad seeing the frustrated look on his face. Suddenly remembering something, he contemplated whether to ask the lad or not... "Ummm did you say earlier that Gang Zhi and the others are your step-siblings as in not biological siblings?" he asked chewing on his lips. He didn't know if the lad was going to answer but he wasn't someone who thought too much about something. He was sure if he didn't ask the lad now, he would lose his senses if he didn't ask.
"I probably shouldn't tell you this but.." the lad started, gulping the remaining wine he was starting to get tipsy
"My mom and their mom are sisters but mine betrayed theirs'. She always thought she deserved everything the other had so when their mom got married to the man she loved she couldn't bare the pain so one day she spiked his wine, gave him some kind of libido drug and they did it and that's how I was a made. When my mom was pregnant with me, their mom was also pregnant with Yung Jen. Although our dad despised her after what she had done because it almost costed him his marriage, he loved me. He always said I was his carbon copy."
" I was born a week after Yung Jen so he decided we'd grow up as twins and we did. We were a happy family, I had two elder brothers who loved me and protected me, a sister that adored me , a father who loved all his children equally, their mom loved me like I was her own. I knew she was trying to fill the empty void my mom left but it didn't bother me. When I turned five my mom mysteriously went missing no one heard from her....until early in the morning on the day of the accident." Yung Jen blurted out. The wine had really hit him which is why he said everything he wouldn't say when he was sober. He settled the empty wine glass on the counter.
Stabling a little as he walked out of the kitchen, he stopped to look at the warlock's pity-filled expression. "I'm not looking for her because I miss or love her. I'm looking for her because she needs to pay for what she did. She destroyed mine and my siblings' happiness. She has to pay." he said gravely. His eyes which were black-silver turned back to their normal greyish color and he disappeared into the dark.
Bing Wen remained flabbergasted for a while after everything sunk in. Although there were holes in everything he just heard, he pieced two and two together. 'So Yung Tang's mom seduced her brother-in-law and that's how he was made. When he was five, his mom went mysteriously missing so the empty void of not having a mother's love was filled with his step mother/aunt and then his mother abruptly came back early morning on the day of The Chens' accident....' the blonde mused unlocking his inner Stiles Stilinski.
'She came back on the day the Chens' had their accident after leaving her own child?!! Why did she come back? and Why on that exact day?..... and Yung Tang said she had to pay for ruining their happiness..... Is it possible that Yung Tang's mom killed the Chens? Is he looking for his mom so he can have his revenge..... but why now? Why didn't he get his revenge before or did she disappear again after the accident?!! Something doesn't add up. Why did Yung Tang just decide to get his revenge recently,if he knew the truth long before? and if it's revenge then that means his mom caused the accident..... but why would she plan the death of the man she loved. Something is missing in this puzzle and am gonna find it.' he thought. Since he was a lawyer and a naturally suspicious person, he knew he was missing something in the case he just gave himself and he was deadly sure he was going to find it. He was going to help the arrogant vampire and the other Chen siblings get their justice.
Even supernaturals deserved to have justice the right way and not through blood shed.
