"Gang Zhi! Gang Zhi!" Hao Tieng yelled and for the third time, nothing but rustling trees and the wooshing sound of the wind evaded his ears. When he came running after his mate, he was nowhere to be seen and he doesn't know how to fly or to make his ice wings pop out of his back, so, he decided to go to the forest and look for him there and if he couldn't find him the old-fashioned way -yelling someone's name like a mad person- then he would try to connect with him. His mom had told him that mates can always find each other no matter how far the other is, so, he would just have to really want to find him and he will see where he is.
Although all this 'mating stuff' was new to him, he truly loved the sound of 'your mate'. Having someone you love for the rest of your life belong to only you was nice and he thanked the forces that brought them together. It might seem unreal to madly fall in love with someone in such a short period of time and if this was dream, then, he didn't want to wake up. Spending his life with such an amazing -though complicated- man is really all he wanted since he fell in love with him.
Some stuff still confused him a little, like why Gang Zhi is called THE QUADBRID, when he is part of five creatures and how he didn't figure out the truth sooner when everyone in his life is typically a supernatural, like Bing Wen being a warlock. He has known Bing Wen for eight years now and he didn't figure it out.
He always had a keen eye and was very quick to find out the truth, if he was being lied to, but, Bing Wen had managed to hide such a big secret from for years and his family knew. it was like they were all working for some secret supernatural agency where everything had been confidential including his own true identity but now that he knew everything, he didn't want to go back to that ignorant person he was.
He's a dragon and a prince at that, his mate is the all-so-powerful Quadbrid King who he hasn't found yet, his bestfriend is a powerful warlock and his name is respected in the supernatural world, his family literally has the upper hand on all dragons out there since they're The Royal Dragon Family, he has a perfect job that he hasn't been to for more than a week now and his weirdly happy, With a family like his and a mate like Gang Zhi and the way the immortal confessed his love for him the previous night, who wouldn't be.
'Gang Zhi is literally perfect. Tall, Undeniably handsome, Dominant, kinda-mysterios but still talks about his feeling, perfect body and a long and thick tool that he's obviously gonna pound into me cause am the bottom in the relationship.. It probably won't hurt, according to quora, it's the best ple---' Hao Tieng was still musing when he felt strong arms embrace him from the back making him flinch, he was about to react to his mysterious embracer but the words that evaded his ears, made him blush a deep shade of visible red.
"Long and thick, huh?" Gang Zhi whispered seductively into Hao Tieng's ears. He was running trying to avoid the horridous possibility of being abandoned by his parents, when his mate's thoughts evaded his mind. "I'll take that as a compliment." he added making Hao Tieng blush harder.
"W-why did y-y-yo-u get into my head?" Hao Tieng embarrassingly muttered. How could he have thought of his mate's size when practically looking for him and now Gang Zhi heard his thoughts which is pretty embarrassing and the breath on his left ear wasn't helping his situation!
"I didn't get into your head," Gang Zhi started tightening his hold on Hao Tieng. "I was just trying to shake off bad thoughts when yours evaded my mind. You're thinking of me so you probably opened your mind to me. I liked all the compliments though. Especially the long and thick part" he teased with a sly grin on his chiseled face. Hearing his mate's thoughts, inhaling his scent and being close to him had helped soothe his nerves. For now, he didn't want to think about the possibility of being abandoned by his parents, he just wanted to be near his mate and tease him alittle.
"I-I-I" Hao Tieng stuttered, how could he have thought of such a thing..and now Gang Zhi heard him. Next time he wouldn't open up his mind for his mate, he had a feeling that Gang Zhi wasn't going to stop if they talked about this topic and one thing would lead to another yet they couldn't go all the way. Stupid two months. "Why did you get so angry?" he asked choosing to change the topic, this time without stuttering. "Wouldn't you be happy if your parents were alive?" he asked again, changing his vulnerable position so that he could face his mate.
Sighing, Gang Zhi let go of Hao Tieng and ran his fingers through his hair. His earlier calm expression changed to his usual monotonic one. He wanted to avoid that topic and for a moment he thought he had but now his mate had brought it up and he couldn't just tell Hao Tieng not to ask or be curious. Mainly because he's his mate and he deserves to know but also because Hao Tieng won't stop asking till he gets an answer.
Feelings! He had run away from them for two centuries but the moment he laid his eyes on Hao Tieng, they all came flowing back. All of them! Last year if they had told him that there's a possibility for his parents to still be alive, he wouldn't be as affected as he was now.
"I wouldn't." he simply replied.
"Why?" Hao Tieng asked studying his mate's face. Of course he had noticed the expression change and he knew it was a sensitive topic but he wanted to know why Gang Zhi wouldn't be happy to see his parents alive. Anyone else would be, so why wouldn't he.
