Chereads / THE QUADBRID'S DRAGON MATE (BL) / Chapter 44 - Mrs. Chen?

Chapter 44 - Mrs. Chen?

Regret.

Everyone reaches a point in their life where they regret their life choices. For Bing Wen, it was today. He had thought that by bringing back Mrs. Chen to her children, they would be happy but sadly that wasn't the case. Yung Jen had fainted, obviously due to shock, Quang Ho said it would've been better if their mother hadn't come back and Yung Tang literally said it would've been better if she had remained dead.

After hearing those words, Bing Wen wished he hadn't interfered in their business.

"I'm sorry" he said, trying to calm down Yung Tang who was now crying in his arms, they were now standing just outside the mansion's back door. After Yung Tang bashed the woman who raised him, he rushed out of the room and Bing Wen followed him.

When he found Yung Tang crying just outside the back door, he didn't expect to be attacked and after alot of punches, kicks and insults, Yung Tang attacked his neck -pierced his fangs into his exposed skin and drank from him. Being caught off guard by the sudden act, Bing Wen just wrapped his arms around Yung Tang's small body and let him drink his blood. It stung -having his blood taken from him by such a small but strong figure- but he let Yung Tang do it, convincing himself that he deserved it because he was nosy and interfered in stuff that didn't concern him.

Surprisingly, the moment he wrapped his arms around Yung Tang's small figure, the lad stopped sucking his blood and started crying.

"I'm sorry." he apologized again. "I thought you'd be happy to see her again."

"You *sob* nosy *sob* bastard! *sob* I'll kill *sob* you" Yung Tang sobbed, holding tightly onto the warlock as if his life depended on it.

The punching, insulting, kicking and drinking of blood were a way to suffice the hurt and anger he felt. He hadn't intended to lash out at the warlock like he did but he couldn't control himself and it's not like he blamed him for what happened. Quite the contrary actually, he blamed himself for telling the warlock everything.

Maybe if he had just shut his hybrid mouth, he wouldn't be crying in the Warlock's arms after attacking him and Why The Fuck! was Bing Wen so calm after being attacked. "You should let go of him and beat him up till he bleeds or maybe inject siren venom in his body." a little nagging voice at the back of his mind said, but he didn't want to. Something about being in the Warlock's arms or being held like he was, was soothing and calming.

The way Bing Wen held him, how he kept brushing his hand at the back of his head, how he continuously apologized and kept trying to calm him down was soothing. Like a mother's lullaby before you drift off into dreamland.

Eventually Yung Tang stopped crying and calmed down. He didn't let go of Bing Wen and neither did Bing Wen. They stayed in each other's arms completely oblivious to the world and the two people staring at them.

"Warlock! What are you doing with my brother?" a loud booming voice startled them but neither of them let go of each other which annoyed Gang Zhi more. A few minutes ago, he was about to pour all his feelings to Hao Tieng when he smelt blood. Instinctively he carried his mate, with the intention of making sure his safe together with his family but as he got closer to the Xiu Mansion, the smell got stronger and he panicked thinking that maybe his or his mate's family was in danger but what he didn't expect to see was a certain blonde embracing his young brother.

"Didn't you hear me ,Warlock?" he growled again.

"There's no need to shout or yell or growl at me like that." Bing Wen said letting go of Yung Tang who hid his red eyes from his brother and Bing Wen hid his bite marks. "You have a visitor waiting inside." he added point blank. There was no need to beat around the bush.

"I don't care about some visitor. I want to know why you're being all lovey-dovey with my brother and why his eyes are red."

"Comforting him isn't the same as being lovey-dovey---- and if you want to know the reason then go see who's here to see you plus you'd want to check on Yung Jen." /

Hearing his sister's name, Gang Zhi calmed down. His earlier irritated expression quickly changed into a worried one. "What happened to Yung Jen?" he asked, worried. What if the smell of blood from earlier was from his sister? No!

"I'm going to check up on my sister." he told Hao Tieng which got a nod from him ,not waiting for another word from the warlock he dashed into the mansion leaving three flabbergasted supernaturals behind.

"I apologise for abruptly attacking you. I lose control when I get emotional. I know you were only trying to help." Yung Tang apologized. He hadn't meant to attack the warlock but his overwhelming emotions got the better of him.

"It's fine. Next time I won't interfere." Bing Wen said massaging where his bite was.

"I'll go check on Yung Jen." Yung Tang said and left the two besties. He didn't want to show his soon to be brother-in-law his weak side or to tell him that he had just drank from his bestfriend.

"What did he mean when he said he attacked you?" Hao Tieng asked, worry evident on his face.

"It's nothing serious. He was just angry and I pretty much deserved it." Bing Wen quickly replied not wanting to worry his bestfriend. Sure, they hadn't talked in over a week but that didn't mean that they're friendship had ended. "You should go and stop your mate from doing something he'll regret." he added. Knowing the Quadbrid, he'd probably kill his mother then switch off his humanity and no one wants a king with no humanity.

"What do you mean by that? Is this about the mystery visitor? Who is he?" Hao Tieng asked cautiously studying his bestfriend's face.

"Yes. plus it's not a he it's a she. It's Mrs.Chen"

"Mrs.Chen?"

"Mrs.Chen. aka Gang Zhi's mother aka your future mother-in-law. She's alive and I brought her here"

Sinking in all the information he had just received, Hao Tieng looked at his bestfriend as if he had seen a ghost. So that's why Yung Tang's eyes were red, he was crying? and Yung Jen fainted because she had seen her dead-mother and Gang Zhi obviously won't take it well. If he had gotten angry about the possibility of his parents being alive, then what will he do when he sees his mother. Fuck! "After all the drama that's going to unfold here today, I need to talk to you." he told the warlock who nodded in agreement, then he walked in to the mansion. He had a feeling something bad was going to happen soon.
