While the two fated mates were lying on the grass, looking up the sky, enjoying the view and loving each other's company, a certain redhead had a deadly expression on his perfectly sculpted face.
What's that feeling again? The one you get when you feel like your being followed. Common Delusion?! Well that is exactly what Quang Ho felt as he walked up the hill.
Twenty minutes had passed since he left the Xiu Mansion and he had this intense feeling that someone was following him, he tried sniffing out the scent but nothing evaded his nostrils. Being born a hybrid, both a siren and a werewolf, he should have been able to catch the scent of his supposed follower.
The Chen family had alot of enemies both in the supernatural and the human world and why wouldn't they, The Chens are good looking people, wealthy, well-built ,powerful in both worlds and they were the exact meaning of a dominant alpha in an omegaverse novel. Although most of their enemies were avenging their loved ones' deaths which Gang Zhi had a part of and most of them were vampires or werewolves, Quang Ho knew to never underestimate an enemy. Especially one who's vegence is driven by grief or anger. Although Quang Ho never really showed himself that much to people, they still knew he was a Chen and being a Chen many people did fear him.
Unlike his younger brother who is feared because of the power he has and the horrible things he had done out of rage or while grieving, Quang Ho was feared because of a rumor that circulated around all supernaturals.
Being the sensible redhead he is he paused his tracks, scanning the whole area with his eyes, he still didn't manage to get a single breath, scent or sight of his follower. 'I must be imagining things.' he mused letting out a loud sigh. Maybe he really was just imagining things. Maybe all the stress he had while in Hong Kong finally got to him. He did have to go back there in two weeks after all. Just as he was about to proceed with his walk, he heard a not so familiar voice inform him of the danger he'd have to face if he continued trailing up the hill.
"If you go up there, the royal dragon guards are going to kill you and I don't mean a simple fast death. I mean a slow horrible death. They'll torture you and drain you of your blood until you die a menacing death or you'll beg them to remove your heart since the pain will be unbearable even for a siren especially one trespassing in their quarters." the voice that seemed to have come from above the redhead leisurely said making Quang Ho freeze in the spot he was standing. Sure he was a siren, immortal, can't fall sick and all that shit but he still didn't want to suffer and die a menacing death.
Looking up, his dull grey eyes widened as they met with Lu Feng's azure blue ones. He didn't move or look away, he just kept on staring at Lu Feng. His body was filled with blue scales, his large wings were flapping back and forth and his eyes seemed like they were capturing his soul. His heart was thumping as if trying to come out of his chest , his stomach had a sudden fuzzy feeling and he felt hot everywhere. 'Why am I feeling like this?' he asked himself. He had never felt like that all his 276 years of living. He was a Casanova, a player, he had never fallen in love. To him love was for the hopeless but now here he was getting all this weird feelings because of this man. A Prince! A Xiu! His brother's mate's brother!
"Are you gonna keep on staring at me like that?" Lu Feng asked feeling irritated. He really didn't like the way he was being looked at. Landing not so close to Quang Ho, his wings and scales disappeared.
"I wasn't staring at you. I was looking at the stars. You aren't the only thing in the sky you know." Quang Ho defended himself with the most ridiculous excuse ever, earning a scoff and an eye roll from Lu Feng.
'Like as if I didn't notice you gawking at me during and after dinner, creepy old man' he thought internally rolling his eyes. To him, although the redhead looked like he was in his 30s, he was still 276, same thing with Gang Zhi, he felt sorry for his brother and himself for having old men as their mates.
While he was clearing the table after everyone had finished eating, he absentmindedly bumped into the redhead which resulted to him seeing their future. Every Dragon had it's own ability and his was seeing the future. When he was still young , he saw alot of different futures. Some were terrifying while others were peaceful and pleasant so at a young age he learnt how to control his powers although sometimes they still appear through his dreams , he controlled them so that he could only see other's futures when he wanted to but sometimes his powers had a mind of their own and came on abruptly for example during dinner, hence seeing the future he was going to have with the redhead or in this case his inner dragon knew his fated mate so it turned on his powers so that Lu Feng could know it too. Honestly his inner dragon was just too lonely, 150 years without love were as much as it could tolerate. It had had enough of Lu Feng's stubbornness. It also wanted to be loved. When Lu Feng saw their future together he smiled at the visions he had seen. In one vision, they were both putting on white tuxedos and were dancing at the soft calm music in the background. In the second one they were in a heated activity that made Lu Feng blush a dark shade of red. Although in the vision he seemed like he was enjoying himself but right now the redhead was still a stranger to him. In the third one they were---
"Why were you following me?" Quang Ho asked, making the lad come out of his daze. Honestly, he didn't know why he was following the redhead and how he knew where to exactly find him. After Gang Zhi and Hao Tieng flew away, he had the sudden urge to find the redhead. So without thinking, he left Bing Wen and came looking for Quang Ho only to find him almost becoming yesterday's news.
"I wasn't following you." Lu Feng retaliated. "I came to get some air and to inform the royal guards to go to their stations when I suddenly spotted a certain hybrid ready to become dragon chow and being the nice person that I am. I couldn't let our visitor get killed." he stated.
"Hmm... Thanks for not letting me become Dragon chow although I know dragons don't eat people."
"But you aren't a normal person. Those thirty Dragons up there have killed sirens before and I've heard the blood is pretty tasty." Lu Feng said with a Kai Parker smile making the redhead to gulp. "So.. do you wanna stay here and be shared among thirty strong unfriendly armored dragons or do you want to go back. Trust me, if you stay here they will kill you and MARK themselves with your blood." he added and immediately flew away already knowing the redhead's reply.
Quang Ho stared at the Dragon flying away from him and a few seconds later , using his werewolf speed he hurried out of there. He didn't want to become Dragon chow after all.
