Chapter 39 - Chapter 37-The Christmas Decoration: Part 2 (Final Part)

Dan too sang the beautiful song. It was just like a lullaby and as he sand it, he slept. Then the chorus sang,

O Star of Wonder, Star of Night,

Star with Royal Beauty bright,

Westward leading,

Still proceeding,

Guide us to Thy perfect Light.

And ended with a beautiful outro.

The next morning, Dan was woken by clanging bells in the nearby market. It's just straight away from the house entrance and a right cut. It's no more than half a mile. The time's seven in the morning. Georges had already woken up and is preparing breakfast. Followed by Dan, Max, or Maxim sitting at the dining table after brushing his teeth. It's Christmas Eve, so there's a special breakfast. The main dish was a toasted sandwich, with inside sautéed vegetables like beans, carrot, potato, tomato, and onions. Along with it is some Tomato-Cucumber-Lettuce-Broccoli salad.

At 9 in the morning, they set out to work. There are still lots of to-dos for Christmas. First, they went around the city to decorate the remaining places. Their first mission is to beautify the marketplace-the Albertone.

Albertone is a bustling place for commerce, business, trade, and enjoyment. There are hundreds of markets here. They decide to work as individuals.

Dan comes to a bakery shop. He went in and spoke, "Hello, Mr Baker. I have come to decorate your store."

-"Yes, I know. I have called you. Your job is to decorate the main hall first, then the dining room, and the outside."

-"Okay. That's just easy work."

He first decorated the walls of the main hall where the buyers buy their orders. It was decorated so nice that it attracted more customers, just because of its beauty. The dining room was large, so he called for the fairy, which had just finished her work of checking and repairing lamps. They both kept 10 Christmas trees in the room. They decorated the trees with bells, Christmas balls, stars, and even gingerbread. Not to forget chocolate and candies. Sweet!

The outside had a display of both the main hall and the dining room. They decorated it with wreaths, placed two snowmen, and they attracted customers by singing and enacting. The baker was thankful and he gave them a chocolate cake as a gift. Just like this, others too helped. Maxim helped arrange items and billed them for some time in the convenience store. He used his knowledge from his work at McDonald's Magical Edition. Georges cleaned the snow off streets with his magic and decorated the town hall, which is nearby; with the same thing, Dan and the fairy decorated the bakery. At last, after work, they came for lunch. They ate more than usual. There was a Steak, some mashed potato garnished with parsley and green onions, and some grilled chicken. Later, they ate the chocolate cake. Along it followed Green tea with more of Cinnamon, Clover, Ginger, Honey, Pepper, Lime and some more.

Dan was strolling in the garden. Just then he got a glance at the letter box. It was filled with letters. He opened it and found several letters. They were letters to wish them Christmas. He took them back home and showed them to his friends.

"Well, a lot of people wished us from abroad. Let's open them," said Maxim.

The first letter was from the Westfield family. Do you remember? It's the teddy bear family they met in Teddyland, at their advent of the "Great Journey of Gorrión".

It read,

The Westfield Family, Teddyland

Dear friends,

How are you all? We are doing fine here. Hope you doing good and great. We are the teddies from Teddyland. We are writing this letter to wish you Christmas.

Since Bunny had kept that tracking instrument, we knew every action of yours. We were happy with your good nature and determined sincere hard work. Get the rest of your day on this magnificent day and,

WE WISH YOU A BLESSED CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!

"Those cuddly bears are still cheeky and cheerful, isn't it." asked the little fairy, who had a very good time with those bears. Everyone agreed.

Next, there were letters from Georges and Maxim's cousins, who live abroad. Then came the letters from Ivy and Holly for Dan. Another one from How are you.

While these people were reading the letters, a truck stopped by their house. The ruck was a delivery trick. They had got a big box. The fairy checked the address. It came from Alcista, from the king himself! They wondered what it was. They opened it and found lots of Christmas treats inside. It includes pies with flavours of grapes and blueberries, cakes with the taste of strawberries and raspberries, chocolates with the pungent of tea, coffee, orange, lemon and honey, jars of marmalade and jam made from cranberries, pineapples and apples, relishing rolls of meat and veggies, the tangy juices of all berries and fruits being the sweetest and more. That's a big list. Phew!

It's no surprise that these folks are gluttons. They ate to their fill, but not entirely (because they saved for later use). At 5 in the evening, they go to work, checking and supervising the arrangements. Some choices had to be fussed and fixed, but everything went smooth. They fixed the lamps, cleaned some more snow, and did some finishing touches. They came home at 7 at the night.

After coming home, they decorated their Christmas tree. It was decorated with balls, glittering strips, decorative lights and candies. The whole house was made sure to be decorated with wreaths of holly and bells. Maxim ensured that all the ingredients are available in full stock for the great day's recipes. Camb was given some dog food, which he ate near the furnace, covered with a scarf and a snow cap.

And, the day's work is finished. Everybody ate their dinner and rested for a while, while it started snowing a little. Everybody sleeps in hopes of getting their favourite Christmas gifts, beneath the Christmas tree.
