No matter how hopeless Sachi felt against his masters' actions he stayed quiet. Who knew if she would come to vent her anger out on him if she spoke on behalf of the poor man?! No way in hell was he going to take the chance to anger the devil when she was angry. That was suicide even if he was her friend and the best familiar in the world. In the name of anger, anything goes and his safety was never guaranteed.
Arlo who was getting beaten up at the moment also had no protests. How could he? If he spoke a single world he might just say goodbye to life before he can even finish! If getting beaten meant living a little longer somehow he was okay with it!
This went on for quite a few minutes where Sophia noticed that Arlo was starting to lose his consciousness.
Sophia: "..." [Why are men so f*cking weak? I just gave him a few punches and he dares to faint! Do you even care to call yourself a man?!]
Sophia had stopped hitting him so he was starting to clear his mind of for a second when his gaze landed on Sophia's eyes which clearly showed her disdain and mockery for him. He could bear more beatings but the second he saw her mocking eyes, the man he lost it and fainted for real!
"tsk, tsk, tsk. Such a weak man! How the f*ck did you even become a mercenary?!" Deep sarcasm laced her voice. When she dropped the unconscious Arlo to the ground she looked up to see the frightened gazes of several men all over the room. Though they were cowering away from her their gazes full of curiosity still landed on her.
Sophia: "..." [What am I? An animal at the zoo?]
"What the f*ck you looking at? Never seen a strong woman before?" Though her words were full of exasperation, the way her eyes seemed to glisten while looking at them makes them shiver even more! Clearly, she was looking for a person to fight with her! Or rather to get beaten up by her!
"Tsk. Cowards." She had her fun beating up Arlo and although it seemed a short while and she was still unsatisfied, she was ready to leave this place. Hence, when those bodyguards and mercenaries that were scattered all over the room cowered away from her with fear she decided to just leave.
After all, who would dare to stop her now? Even if they did it meant that they either wanted to die or be her punching back. Who would be an idiot?
It would be nice if one 'em volunteered but since they were hiding and looking like they'd piss their pants any second she lost her interest in beating them. They were too weak.
Making sure to have everything with her, Sophia dusted her hands on her clothes before slowly walking towards the entrance of the barn with her back straight. The fifteen men excluding the two unconscious leaders were like subordinates bowing to their boss when she left only they weren't her subordinates nor was she their boss.
Getting on to her baby, Sophia pulled out her phone and typed a series of code on it. Soon after the screen exited and the motorcycle was connected to her phone. It was also 95% operated by AI instead of manual driving like she did when she drove here.
She had felt her wet back and knew she was bleeding. No matter how small or big the wound might be, the strain from all the fighting just now was enough to make her lose enough blood. If she were to drive manually at this point in time, she would practically be asking for a death wish. It was like drunk driving. She would be putting herself and other bystanders in danger.
She wasn't one to kill the innocent.
Sophia adjusted her position and put on her helmet before leaning forward and leaning on the motorbike.
The motorbike immediately started and drove off at a fast speed while Sophia who was relaxing her body seemed like a rider leaning forward to better enjoy the fast ride.
Her breathing was a bit shallow but she was still hanging in there. Sachi popped up in front of her and showed her the health exam on her body. The wound on her back was quite serious.
It was a four-inch slash that cut a little over a centimeter deep into her skin. Because of the large area and the cut itself was quite deep, the area of her left side waist was shaded red in the model.
She needed to take care of the wound as soon as possible or else the blood loss would definitely get to her if not the large strain on her body from the entire day.
Sachi wanted Sophia to pull up at a nearby hospital or pharmacy and get her wound treated by Sophia just shook her head.
"I'm good." Her voice was quite hoarse and seemed strained but it still held enough power to stop Sachi from refusing. "Even if the wound is deep, it won't kill me yet."
Using the last bits of her energy to pick herself up, Sophia took off her jacket. She moved her hand around the body of her motorcycle for something before she retracted her hand holding a black piece of metal.
It looked like a broken piece of metal only she could snap it back to her motorbike without any trouble.
She used the sharp edge of the metal piece to cut a hole on her long black shirt. She then moved on to rip a piece of the clothing off, leaving her with a 'bandage' that was three inches in width. Wrapping the cloth around her so that it blocked the bleeding she looked up at Sachi. "There. With this, I can safely make the delivery and then get my rest. No harm at all. Alright?"
Although it seemed as if Sophia was going to listen to Sachi, Sophia had already made up her mind. She didn't care about her wound. It wasn't a life-threatening wound, Sophia's condition would be near critical by the time she manages to get the USB delivered. Truthfully speaking. Sophia didn't give a sh*t about her wound at the moment as her mind was on getting money to save Lillian. However, she couldn't bear to worry Sachi in the process of helping another.
It was like losing yourself while trying to please others. She didn't want that. Being with Sachi was like finding herself but if she lost him while trying to be 'Luna' she couldn't bear to dot it. Despite it being so, she couldn't stop being 'Luna' just to please Sachi either.
The sooner she got the USB delivered the sooner she gets paid. She would get paid, she could recuperate while Lillian's surgery is getting ready and everything will be alright. However, if she truly ignored her health while trying to get this USB delivered then she would lose Sachi. Especially since she had already disappointed him this same night just a few hours ago.
She had stopped the bleeding so that her condition would more or less stay the same even if she spent a few hours getting to NG headquarters. With her wound slightly taken care of, Sachi had lost all hopes of protesting! She didn't even wait for him to respond or get over his shock before she put on her jacket and leaned back on the motorbike.
From the barn to NG headquarters it would take around three hours of driving so Sophia decided to get some shut-eye.
Sophia felt comfortable even though the motorbike was going near 150 kilometers per hour! Despite the speed, the road was smooth and the AI system was driving at a steady speed so there were no unexpected bumps in her ride. Sachi stayed out and watched over Sophia as she rested and their journey went on as Sophia slept on her motorbike.
When she got caught on cameras, the security people only saw a blur of black passing by and the rider seemed very experienced as they easily navigated through the many twists and turns in a very fast manner.
No outsider was able to catch on to the fact that the rider herself was sleeping and not leaning forward like a normal rider.
