Chapter 17 - 17. 'Save the girls.'

Sophia watched the live footage up until she saw several men dressed in black suits dragging young girls roughly into the barn in a rush. She couldn't hear anything but she could imagine the pain and fear that those young girls felt as they got dragged by their limbs or even pulled by the hair.

The girls all seemed young and if she wasn't wrong they were roughly around 17 years old. More than that they were runaway girls or orphans.

Those who had no family to for them if they ever went missing. If they were regular girls even in the lowest class, someone would file for missing and the Grey family would be caught. However, she saw no fear or awkwardness in the movements of those bodyguards.

It was as if they had done this several times before. Furthermore, there weren't even being discreet about their actions!

Who in their right mind would perform illegal acts like kidnapping so brazenly. Even little kids knew to move the victim while they were unconscious.

That is unless they had no fear.

However, for that to happen the kidnappers would have to meet a certain requirement. That is to ensure that whomever they are kidnapping doesn't have a backer. Someone to look out for them.

People often look down on orphans and runaways. Hence, there was rarely anyone that looked after them. Many of them barely had any proof of identity. Without it, they couldn't get involved with the police, and even if they did they would be ignored.

If by any chance someone caught them in the act and called the police, nothing major would happen.

The victims were ones without an identity. In order for the police to act upon the information, they need solid proof. One would need to give a witness along with a solid piece of evidence before the police could take many actions. Especially in these types of kidnappings.

However, this was not possible because although the bodyguards were rash in their actions they were careful enough to not leave any evidence behind. Adding to the fact that the place was far from the city, people rarely passed by there was a rare chance that they would get caught. And even if they did the Grey family had some connections in the police department. They could just ignore it.

Even though it was an outdoor place, the air around Sophia still seemed to have lowered a few degrees more. Her eyes a cold bottomless pit of darkness as she stared emotionlessly into the footage.

If looks could kill, those bodyguards would have long been chopped to pieces and scattered in the garbage dump. But it couldn't so those bodyguards still moved about, taking a total of 16 girls out of the 2 vans and into the barn.

Having seen enough Sophia waved off the mission panel and got off her motorbike. Caressing the side for a second her hand landed on a secret button that she pressed immediately. Moving back two steps, Sophia watched her baby transform.

The handlebar lowered and angled itself while the windshield narrowed in angling before becoming transparent. The gas tank moved upwards and the outer parts of the motorbike readjusted themselves swiftly as the inner parts moved.

Within a minute her baby had gone from an under-seat storage scooter to a sports bike that can go faster than your Ferrari. What made her even more proud was that she made this possible five years ago!

At that time, the fastest a motorcycle can go was roughly 290 kph but her baby can go up to 400 kph! Even now the latest motorcycle has only advanced to go up to 331 kph!

Watching her baby transform Sophia was inwardly proud that she was able to make it possible. This feeling didn't last long though.

Right after her baby was ready to roll, she hopped on quickly and made her way towards the barn where the girls were being held. She was aching to teach those bastards a lesson for treating the girls that way. More than that she couldn't wait to get her hands on the Grey family.

For all the despicable they have been doing over the years, they shall await the karma that is about to come their way. Sophia sped up her motorbike and swiftly made her way through the empty streets silently.

As she got closer to the barn, she was glad that her baby was very quiet despite her traveling at a very high speed. As long as no one saw her, they would only hear the high wind speed and nothing more.

Getting to the barn, she parked her motorbike in a corner, hidden away from view. Like a dark shadow, she eased her way up to the window to look at the situation inside but it was but a futile attempt on her part.

There were small cracks in the windows that allowed tiny sparks of light to seep out however it was impossible to look inside. The bodyguards had already blocked the view of anything and everything with wooden planks. Besides being able to see an empty space on the floor from the biggest gap there was on the window, she was able to see nothing else.

Everything seemed rather quiet inside the barn if you ignored the little whimpers of the young girls inside that had made their way through the rather thick and soundproof walls of the barn.

Not daring to imagine what might happen if she delayed this any longer, Sophia turned her back to the window and pulled up the mission panel to look at the footage.

If she was herself without the system she would've found other ways to find out what was going on inside. However, right now there was no time to lose. Besides she had the system with her. It could show her exactly what was going on without alerting the enemy.

If she were to look into the barn using her own efforts, things wouldn't go as smoothly. She might get caught considering the fact that she was currently limited in her movements due to the recent but she also wasn't in her best condition.

Even with her amazing memory and perception abilities that had come with her, there was no telling what might go wrong. If she made a mistake those innocent girls were bound to have a fate worse than they had it now.

No matter how rash she was being at the moment, she still knew not to take risks at the moment. Not when she could be the reason those girls get killed when she was tasked to save them.

Not when there was a voice in her head repeatedly chanting to her as if saying a prayer. The distant voice in her head of the original Luna. It was urging her to save the girls.

'Save the girls.'

'Save the girls.'

Normally she would've found that voice to be annoying because it was very noisy. No matter how many people she had sponsored as Sugar Mommy, Sophia didn't take ones that were very noisy. Or rather she made it a rule for them to not be noisy around her.

Right now though she was compelled to listen to that voice. A part of her wanted to follow those words just like how she followed the words of this voice when she was being tailed. She couldn't keep calm nor could she think much.

All that went through her head was but a line of words that came from Luna. Sophia also started chanting those words as she looked into the footage provided by the system.

'Save the girls.'
