In the northernmost garden of the Vilhorm estate, far from the asphyxiating depths of the Basement under the southern garden, stood a short stone obelisk. Its edges were plated with glimmering gold and embedded with the rarest of gems.
The obelisk stood at only 6 feet high, its base wider than the pointed, tapering apex. Placed atop the apex were rings of freshly handcrafted flower necklaces - the flowers handpicked by servants from shrubs around the mansion.
Unlike a traditional obelisk which acts as a landmark, this one signified the resting place of a very influential person. The base of the obelisk was a solid black cube gently carved out of marble. The front face of the base was engraved with a name and date, surrounded by a thin golden border of interlocking hoops.
