Richard Emblaze returned from dropping Ansel and Maeve back to the students' quarters. He wasn't panting, but it was obvious that he had run the whole way back as droplets of sweat formed on his brow and chest. He took a seat at the oval table with the other two teachers, facing Wolfe.
"The reason I let the other two go was because they would be in grave danger just by knowing what we are talking about. You, on the other hand, have unfortunately already been exposed to it, and are our only source of the truth right now. Based on what you tell us, we will be able to uncover something much more sinister festering in the undertow of Zodia. We will only go ahead with this if you agree to it, Wolfe."
Wolfe nodded his head. He had begun sweating as Roland stared into his eyes for confirmation. "I understand, sir." He managed to say with a stutter in his voice.
